Chereads / Dainsleif: Grand order / Chapter 8 - Concentration is key

Chapter 8 - Concentration is key

Once they got to the car, Jadon was preparing to get in the car and go home, but the car door was locked. When he noticed it was locked he looked behind him and saw tents, campfires and 5 meals from Mcdonald.

"What's going on?" he asked while walking towards the meals to check what butter they chose.

"What is going on is that you are not done with your training. I will teach you how to fight, I will teach you how to convert energy into water, and I will teach you how to give shape to water. All this, you must learn before the end of this month." she said while sitting down on what seemed like a throne to Jason's eyes.

"But it's the 17th of June. I only have about 2 weeks left to learn, and I want to sleep on a bed! He shouted due to what seemed like bad news for him.

"You have to learn this while your energy flow is still new and fresh." She replied.

Jason knew that he wouldn't be able to change her mind, so he just gave up, sat down and ate his mega mac.

Once they were done eating, each of them went to their tent to have a good night rest. 'This bed is comfy...' He thought.

The next day, Tornado let him sleep till the time he wanted to become it's been about 5 days since he hasn't slept. At 1 pm, Jason woke up, and he didn't even have time to have a shower that Tornado dragged him back to the place with a massive flow of energy.

"Having a good night sleep is vital to be able to convert energy to water. The only people who elemental users able to convert energy to their element are fire and water. For metal users, always need to bring liquid metal to fight." She said, "Now, I would like you to concentrate the minimum of energy on your right hand."

Jason executed what she said, and she was surprised to see how perfectly he could control his energy after only a few days. "Okay, so now close your eyes and concentrate, remember, concentration is key. Think of you being at the beach, with I don't know, maybe a chick or two, and with a calm and pleasant sea. Concentrate on the sound of the sea, now open your eyes."

Jason opened his eyes and he saw water floating on his right hand. Jason started making the water move around him and Tornado. "Wow! First, try..." he said.

"I would like to tell you something, your elemental level also determines how capable you are of controlling it. This means you learn faster than someone with an elemental level of 1000. This is the advantage of being a genius!"

Jason was amazed, and he tried to think of a form of anything to give to his water, and he managed to pull it off! He gave it the form of a banana!

"Wait what! I never taught you how to give a form to water!" Tornado screamed in amazement.

"I guess I am talented?" he said in an awkward tone because he didn't understand what was hard in giving it a form.

Jason didn't understand, but Tornado knew that was the hardest part of the training, which Jason managed to do in less than 2 seconds. 'I don't understand, how did he manage to do so hard things so fast. This isn't normal...' she thought while looking at the water banana.

Jason dissipated it and said, well I guess I only have to learn attacks and how to fight.

Tornado who was still in shock agreed anyways to start with the physical part of the training. Weeks passed, and Jason, Ian, Ella and many more were training hard for what was coming. They were preparing themselves for the Dainsleif test. They were all committed, and it was 2 days left before the admission test.

Jason could control his flow, energy and energy conversion perfectly now. "This is the last day of training, and I would like to say, Cooper, you are the best student I have ever had." She said proudly.

"It's not like you've had any other student anyways..." She said while eating mashed potatoes, and chopped sausages. Tornado who was only supposed to spend 49 days on vacation spend way more, and as she was a high-class ranger, who would scold her?

"I'm going back to Germany today... so this will be our last meal together," she said with a smile on her face, "I do believe you will pass the tests easily though."

Jason since the 11th of June never set foot out of the woods, and today, it is the 4th of August, so he didn't look like who he was a few months ago. He now had long hair and a little moustache showing (a younger version of the winter soldier). He had bigger muscles and looked larger and more intimidating, thanks to Tornado's rigorous training.

"I wonder what civilization Is like now..." He said in a mysterious tone.

"You left for 2 months, not 20 years, I'm pretty sure nothing changed, so don't ask those stupid questions again," Tornado said while eating.

Once they were done, they packed their materials, and they were off for London. In a few hours, they were back in London, and it was 5 pm. Once the car got to Jason's house, he got out of the car and looked at the house, suddenly be remembered he wouldn't see Tornado in a while, so he turned around to wish her a happy flight, but she was already off.

"She didn't even say goodbye," he said with a smile on his face. He was very grateful for everything Tornado did although sometimes, she acted like a real th*t. Once he got inside the house, Kandice and Trisha, were in the kitchen cooking.

"Oh, your back," Kandice said with no excitement whatsoever.

"I was gone for 2 months..." He said

"Yes honey, while you are here talking about your life and everything, we are here cooking tonight's dinner, so could you ease leave us alone".

Jason wasn't even surprised that they didn't realize he left. He went to his room to prepare his clothes because Dainsleif was located in manchester, so tomorrow, he was taking the bus for Manchester with all his classmates who chose to pass the Dainsleif test. Once he was done with his luggage, he had a shower and went downstairs to eat with his family.

They some quality time together, and spoke about every single topic. A few hours later, everyone was sleeping except Jason. Mainly because his bus was going at 1 pm and it was 11 pm. Jason went to Kandice and Trisha's room and kissed them before going. He knew that if he were to live a ranger's life, he would be bound to never give any clue to the enemy about his family. Mainly because he doesn't want to have to think about their safety every time, and he doesn't want to be the kind of person to be in the situation where he has to sacrifice himself because his family is in danger. Those situations are annoying in his opinion because this shows how many families should not be involved in work.

After giving a goodbye kiss to his stepmom and sister, he was off to the bus station. Once he got there, he saw only three of his school members, Ian, Ella, and Mandy. Mandy was a go from Jason's school who didn't like weak people, so she always avoided Jason at school, but since he's considered as the elite of the next generation, she has been trying to be in contact with him for a while.

" Umm... hi Jason..." She said while playing with her hair.

Jason who was the victim of many mockeries by her simply ignored her and went towards Ian

"Hey, dude, how you doing?" Jason asked

"I return you the question! You disappeared for about 2 months!" Ian replied.

Meanwhile, Ella was on her phone, and Mandy trying to find a way to sit next to Jason on the bus. She was hot, and she was used to men falling to her knees, so if there was one thing she had in mind, it was to make Jason her little puppet for the clout, and the protection.

About 10 minutes later, the bus arrived. Ian and Jason got on the bus at the same time and already chose a place to sit together, but Mandy at the last moment threw a seed and a small plant grew which wrapped itself around Ian. Eventually, Jadon sat down, and Mandy managed to steal Ian's seat.

"Hey! That's my seat!" Ian told Mandy.

" I don't remember seeing you sit on this seat before me," she said with a sneaky look on her face.

Ian who felt like he got played sat down behind them. It was the perfect chance for Mandy to get to know Jason better.
