Chapter 33 - Chapter 33

Gong Wu used his enormous amount of soul power to get rid of Yun Lao's seal on the spacial storage bag.

Then added his own seal onto the bag making it Gong Wu's now.

At first, he was overjoyed to get his hands on a storage bag.

After all, Gong Wu had no resources or cultivation techniques and if he wanted to survive to adulthood he needed to have cultivation.

'What could be inside pills, techniques, or maybe it could be soul weapons.'

Gong Wu had a lot of hopes for this storage bag but his hopes were quickly extinguished after he saw what was inside the bag.

'It's just a bunch of low-grade pills, unknown herbs, and dull white rocks.'

Cried Gong Wu at his misfortune all he wanted was something promising but instead, all he got was a pile of shit.

"What are these stones anyway,"

Gong Wu touched one and felt something familiar inside it. It was warm and comfortable, he could also feel its power.

'It had to be spirit Qi but why is it in this stone.'

Gong Wu was curious about these stones but the more he thought about it the more he realized he was a little too ignorant of the general knowledge in this world.

"Dammit I only know about realms and the basic things I need to do to break through them but I have no in-depth knowledge about them or any else for that matter,"

Gong Wu had been too frivolous before, he never bothered to learn anything about this world all he knew were the things others told him.

Gong Wu could now feel just how foolish he has been up until now.

He didn't know about the currency, traditions, or practices of this world's people all he ever cared about was breaking through realms.

'I'm paying for it now I have no background, techniques, resources, and even my monstrous talent is gone.'

If he didn't have his massive reserves of soul power he'd be just a normal person and unfortunately since he isn't in the soul formation realm he could barely control it.

He really was like a mortal now but what can he do to change that?

Gong Wu was laying on his back looking at the cave's rocky ceiling trying to figure out what to do from here.

'The way I see it I only have two options I could become a vagabond cultivator or I could join a sect.'

Gong Wu disliked both options if he had the choice he wouldn't do either but given his current situation, it's all that's available to him.

'So which one should I do?'

Being a vagabond cultivator sucks for one thing I would have no background, no support, and no cultivation techniques.

This is the reason why most vagabonds never reach the Qi gathering realm with no resources or support they never get anywhere in cultivation.

Then again being in a sect isn't much better with all the fierce competition I would probably end up dead in a year.

Especially in this region full of nothing but demonic sects. When it comes to competition in demonic sects they are even more dangerous than Orthodox sects.

Gong Wu recalled what happened to him in his first reincarnation. He was about to enter a sect and I was immediately assassinated.

Gong Wu thought long and hard about it before he decided to just be a vagabond.

'It isn't the best choice but it's better than nothing, so now that I'm a vagabond I need to find a body tempering technique and begin cultivating.'

Gong Wu made a plan to find a city and exchange what was in this storage bag for decent cultivation techniques.

He then went outside of the cave to try to find a city but that was easier said than done.

He didn't have a map so right now Gong Wu was just recklessly running through the jungle.

As he ran he began to feel an impending sense of dread.

The atmosphere in the jungle changed it was too quiet and he couldn't even see any insects crawling around the underbrush.

All of Gong Wu's instincts told him that something just wasn't right.

Gong Wu may not have any aptitude or talent but what he did have was his finely honed instincts and his incredible perception that he developed over years of living in this harsh environment.

Gong Wu knew he had to run right now and before he knew it he turned tail and ran away as fast as he could from this unknown danger.

Gong Wu was running at the speed of an Olympic athlete but his instincts still told him he was in danger.

He soon began to feel something coming at him from behind.

Gong Wu turned around and punched at whatever was chasing him. Only for his punch to connect with an unmovable wall.

Gong Wu's pulled back his fist throbbing with intense pain before being blown back by a kick to the chest from a mysterious man.

Gong Wu flew through the air and crashed into a thick tree with an audible cracking noise.

However, it wasn't Gong Wu's bones that cracked it was the trunk of the tree that broke and splintered apart.

The once mighty tree fell to the ground sending clouds of dust flying through the air.

Gong Wu slowly got back up with a groan escaping his lips.

The unidentified man was visibly surprised by this after all it's not like just any mortal can survive a kick like that.

'I must bring this one with me.'

Thought the man before chopping Gong Wu in the neck knocking the heavily bruised Gong Wu unconscious.

The man picked up Gong Wu and then quickly made his way southwest toward a small mountain.
