Gong Wu walked silently behind a group of young men and women.
They all only appeared to be in their teens which he found strange.
'Guess they want young blood for their sect.'
Technically Gong Wu was a teenager too but he didn't consider himself one due to the fact he has lived several lives by now.
Anyway, the situation he was in was very simple.
He has been kidnapped and was being forced to join an unknown and most likely a demonic sect.
'The name was the Coiling Dragon Temple so what kind of sect is it?'
Gong Wu assumed from the name it was a violent warlike sect full of madmen.
Sadly he was right the Coiling Dragon Temple was a reclusive sect known for producing savage battle maniacs.
But Gong Wu didn't know this he only knew he was being taken to the peak of a small mountain to be initiated.
"Okay, we're almost there, and don't forget to give respect to your senior brother when we arrive... he will kill you if you don't,"
Li Bei said that last part quietly but Gong Wu and a few others still heard it.
'What senior brother is that guy talking about?'
Gong Wu was very anxious in fact everyone was apart from three people in fancy clothing who weren't right now.
Those silk pants must be the ones from villages under their control and we shabby-looking ones in rags are people they plucked from the villages and tribes in the area.
Instead of being worried, they were calm and composed not concerned in the slightest about what might happen to them.
'Just great I have no idea what's going on but they sure do lucky bastards.'
Gong Wu cursed them in his heart but he soon calmed down and saw a village up ahead with a tall imposing man standing at the front gate.
He was bald and stood over six feet tall and his face was covered in many crisscrossing scars giving him a fierce appearance.
A wild aura clung to his hulking frame and was dressed in a metallic black armor.
He also held a spear in his right hand that gave off the thick stench of blood.
'Is this guy a general returning from battle or something like that?'
Gong Wu was bewildered by this strong-looking veteran in front of him. He had never had he met a guy like him before.
"Listen up you pitiful maggots I'm Bai Sheng your superior from now on if you don't want to die you will obey my orders now each of you find a house you'll know what to do next once you do,"
Everyone including those silk pants quickly found a house and shut themselves inside.
I say everyone but not everyone found a house this was because Gong Wu was stopped by Bai Sheng at the gate.
Bai Sheng raised his spear blocking Gong Wu he then looked up at him closely eyeing him from head to toe.
"You there you have a very sturdy skeleton instead of joining them you will come with me,"
Bai Sheng then went to a building outside of the village and went inside motioning Gong Wu to follow.
When they got inside Bai Sheng put away his spear and sat down on a wooden stool while taking out a wine jar.
He took a big swig before offering it to Gong Wu which he turned down polity.
"Humph suit yourself but this will be the only kindness you'll ever receive after joining the Coiling Dragon Temple,"
Gong Wu was confused by Bai Sheng's words so he decided to ask him something.
"What do you mean by that and why are you treating me differently than everyone else,"
Bai Sheng didn't respond and only kept drinking the wine. He burped loudly away finishing the jar then pulled out another jar.
"To start with all those guys are gonna probably due today,"
Gong Wu was visibly shocked by this he then stood up and asked him why.
"Why it's because of that pill what's it called oh right the beast soul pill,"
Gong Wu was still confused but Bai Sheng went on to explain about the pill and what it does to you after taking it.
It was a pill made from the flesh and blood of vicious beasts.
Taking the pill will help you unblock your meridians and become a cultivator really quickly but it was dangerous.
The Qi contained inside was very unstable and it would degrade a person's mind after taking it turning you into a savage beast.
The effect was only temporary and not everyone was effect by it but it was still a dangerous pill not to mention hard to refine.
You needed very specific parts from very deadly beasts to make it.
"That is what the outer sect is for, they are told they are real members of the sect but that isn't true they're nothing more than cattle to serve the sect before dying and being fed to the very beasts we force them to care for,"
Gong Wu understood now those guys aren't real disciples they're just cannon fodder no different than slaves.
When they are selected they are brought here then they are instructed to take the pill after that they go crazy and kill each other.
And whoever is alive by morning is brought into the sect only to be put to working doing daily missions that will more than likely kill them.
Just to receive the littlest of guidance in cultivation.
'Out of all the outer disciples, only about one or two reach the Qi gathering realm and become inner disciples, and the ones that don't end up as food for the deadly beasts the sect raises.'
"Hahaha yeah that's true it's sad but that's just how our sect does things and you know you would be just like them if you didn't have a special constitution,"
Bai Sheng was very intoxicated after drinking four jars of wine and was laughing like a psycho right now.
'What is a special constitution I think I have heard of it before?'
Bai Sheng saw my confused look and then began laughing louder even stamping his feet like I had done the funniest thing in the world.
"Of course, a country bumpkin would know about stuff like that you see a special constitution is a mutation it's very rare and it just so happens you got one,"
Gong Wu ignored his insults and continued listening to Bai Sheng until he stopped talking and laid down taking a nap right in front of Gong Wu.
'This guy has some serious balls to be sleeping like that doesn't he think I could kill him while he's doing that?'
Gong Wu sighed and then thought about what he said. His body had never been normal since birth and being a mutant made sense to him.
Bai Sheng also said that having a special constitution wasn't always a good thing.
Just like genetic mutation from earth they could either be helpful or harmful.
Some special constitutions assisted in cultivation while others just made a person's life hell.
From what Gong Wu knew his special constitution at least made him tougher so there was no need to panic.
'But what's gonna happen to me now, that idiot gave me a pill called a primordial blood pill before passing out and said I needed to take it to enter the body tempering realm so I'll just do that.'
Gong Wu swallowed the primordial blood pill and it was like a bomb going off inside him.
His bones began to burn it felt like thousands of ants crawling under his skin he couldn't take it.
I fell to the ground groaning loudly trying to contain my screams of pain.
Bai Sheng woke up and saw me writhing around then immediately became concerned about me.
He rushed over to me and touched my skin only to recoil his hand in pain.
"Shit why is he so hot that pill I gave him was just a pill full of blood Qi it shouldn't have such an extreme effect,"
Bai Sheng watched as Gong Wu's skin turned bright pink and began emitting a thick cloud of smoke.
"What the hell it must be his special constitution doing this since it was a blood pill does his special constitution amplify blood Qi output,"
Bai Sheng wasn't wrong Gong Wu's bones acted like a blood Qi purifier churning out large amounts of pure blood Qi.
For someone in the body temper realm or a cultivator who specializes in body refining possessing such a constitution would be very useful.
'Shit good thing I decided to pick this guy to join the inner sect directly otherwise we would probably lose a valuable disciple.'
Bai Sheng made up his mind he decided to hand Gong Wu into the sect leader's faction. Under their guidance, he would surely become a terrifying warrior.
Bai Sheng wasn't actually a part of the sect leader's faction but he knew the sect leader's faction would take Gong Wu anyway so he may as well hand him over to him to earn some merit points.
As Bai Sheng plotted to give Gong Wu to the sect leaders' faction Gong Wu was slowly removing all the impurities from his body.
Unblocking his meridians and using the surging blood Qi to refine his flesh. Gong Wu did this until all the blood Qi in his body had calmed down.
Gong Wu stood back up and immediately felt the difference in his body. He was much lighter than before and his muscles felt stronger.
Bai Sheng smirked at Gong Wu before using his spiritual Qi to remove the black gunk that had come out of Gong Wu while he broke through.
"Good job that was a very thorough body tempering you unblocked most of your meridians and even refine your muscles and skin In just one go,"
Gong Wu noticed after breaking through his muscle mass increased and his skin was now soft and clear.
'Such a big difference I really never noticed it before but I like it this feeling of slowly improving.'
.....
"Hey kid it's almost morning now so follow me I'll take you and anyone whose still alive to the sect's real main headquarters,"
It was now morning Gong Wu spent all last night waiting for Bai Sheng to wake up after he got drunk again and passed out again.
But now it was time to head out to the sect's true headquarters where I will become an inner disciple.
Bai Sheng walked outside and into the village then after a few minutes came back out with a disappointed look on his face.
"This time no one survived half of them died after consuming the pill and the other half killed each other oh well looks like it's just you kid welp just follow me,"
Bai Sheng led Gong Wu to a horse-drawn carriage with Wang Shu and Li Bei at the reins.
They hopped on and then drove toward a much bigger mountain miles away from where they were from.
'Let's hope I don't die this time around.'
