Theo followed behind Rose as she headed towards the steel hut ...
Rose stopped a few metres away from the entrance of the hut .. and as if it was like a signal .. two men 2 inches taller than the ones he'd met at the gate appeared with diamond clubs in their hands ... wearing diamond armour as well ...
Though their weapons seemed to be made from a hard black metal that had a brownish glow on the tip ...
"Greetings ..." the guard with a black spear walked forward bowing down elegantly before looking into the two's eyes ...
"Our chief has asked me to lead you inside his hut ... " when Theo heard this he couldn't help but twitch his eyes ...
they could just walk inside the hut easily and find the chief right there in the centre with beautiful women surrounding him ...
without further ado .. Rose nodded her head before following behind the guards ...
'Are these guys trying to play us ... if they at least want to trick us ... can't they blindfold us ...' he thought as the guards opened the large door connecting to the font of the hut ...
'Oh I didn't expect this ...' he thought as his eyes narrowed inside the hut ...
inside the hut was a maze ... or at least that's what he thought ...
although he had thought it was dumb at first that the guards would appear suddenly infront of them just to lead them inside the main room where the chief was residing in ... he didn't think it would be this much of a big deal ...
'Who would build a maze inside this small hut .. and then again .. this hut is too small to even have this vast maze ... what the heck is going on here ... has my mind forsaken me ...!!' he exclaimed internally as he followed behind the guards ...
whilst walking inside the maze with lanterns on the walls Rose would brush her fingers through the walls and the weird lines on the walls ...
"Those lines were created by our ancestor ... Chief Roc ... but not all of them ... every chief who has passed on left their own knowledge into these walls and the giant gate ... they represent their lives in their village ... and of course their powers are swallowed up by the wall since the ancient ancestor ... the one who started the whole Rock Village was the one who unscripted his first lines and carvings on the walls ...
and due to the power of the rocks we use here .. it sucked half of his power ... causing the continuing generation of chiefs to have their powers sucked in ... well that's what we were told ..."
the guard finished his story before turning to his left ...
the four continued to change directions until the guard leading in the front halted in his steps before holding his spear firmly and tapped on the ground lightly three times ...
with the third tap ... his spear was locked 1 inch inside a small hole connecting all the threads from its tip to the floor , the walls and lastly the large diamond door infront of them ...
the inscriptions and ancestral lines began emit a faint glow ... as it got stronger and stronger each second ... as they illuminated the entire maze ... causing the diamond door to shake ...
and after a few moments of shaking the door started a rumble echoed inside maze as it started lifting into the rock ceiling ...
"Honorable guests ... welcome ..." the two guards then bowed down with their hands stretched towards the inside of the other side ...
Theo and Rose quickened their pace inside ... and right infront of them was a tall gigantic man standing 9 foot tall ... with a shining chest piece ... made of the same black metal the spear had been created from ...
and from a distance they could see the chest piece releasing visible aura making the lines and inscriptions on it to glow slightly red ... and for the first time .. Theo and Rose just encountered someone using an energy different from the villagers outside ... although they weren't sure if the brownish energy was related to the red one .. they were at least surprised that the chiefs in the past had this power with them ...
"Welcome ... to my hut ..." the giant man said in a deep voice ... before sitting on top of the large rock chair made for him specially ...
"Greetings Chief of the Rock Village ... we've come to help you after receiving your distress call ..." Rose said kneeling down on one knee her hand in a fist placed on her chest ...
but Theo stood there with his arms folded .. looking at the aura the chief was releasing ... and for the second time in his life .. he had met someone way stronger than him ... not only was he stronger but the red energy was violent ...
the moment it came in contact with his skin and his insides .. he could feel his muscles twisting .. causing pain to run all over his body ...
'Damn it ... why do I have to meet with these monsters ... and why do they turn out to be so strong ...!!?' he exclaimed with anger and his strength fighting against the red aura ... and whatever the aura was it was dangerous ... and very overbearing ...
gritting his teeth he forced all of his aura to repel the red energy trying overwhelm him ...
when he was struggling the chief on the chair was only sitting there nonchalantly with his eyes shimmering with a brownish aura ....
'Theo can't you just bow .. once in your life ...!!?' Rose shouted internally looking at Theo in the corner with sweat running through all of his pores ...
"Insect why do you not bow ..." the deep voice resounded in the hut making Rose flinch from her spot ... whilst Theo wore a smile of confidence ... unfolding his arms walking towards the chief with a dominant aura ...
"I'm not an insect .. if I was an insect I would've already kowtowed from your red aura ... but here am I .. I'm still standing .." Theo said dumbfounding the other guards inside ...and Rose as well ..
"You don't make people who are going to help you bow down to you ... you're using your power wrongly ... Hmph ..." he snorted before walking back to his spot ...
as calm as he looked he was panicking inside ... whether it was tiredness or loss of energy ... he was trying to hang on a little bit more ..
'Hmm this one is interesting ... not only did his aura repel mine .. he's also confident and strong as well ... ' the chief thought narrowing his eyes on Theo's back ...
"Stand up ... I'm going to show you our problem ..." the chief then stood up walking behind his chair ...
Rose walked right up to Theo with a frown on her face ... she then smacked the back of his head ... "What's wrong with you .. he's a chief ... bowing down is just a respectful greeting ..." she whispered ...
Theo looked at her and averted his gaze before snorting coldly .. "We should just let them eat rocks ... they've been at it for years .. why help this arrogant guy now ..." he said making sure Rose heard him clearly ...
"They don't eat rocks ... they ... ugh nevermind ...let's just follow behind him .." she said waving her hands in the air defeated ...
"And you tell me we're having fun ...Hmph ... good trick captain Rose good trick ..." he said following behind her pondering about his comeback for her in the future ...
When they got close to where the chief was standing .. another diamond door appeared and opened instantly ...
'Hmph .. They don't eat rocks ... she's kidding me ... *tsk* ... look at those biceps and muscles ... she thinks vegetables and other greens create those muscles ... *che* ... inside those biceps dwells rocks .. ... why's everyone not paying attention to what I'm saying ... ' he sighed deeply lowering his head down as the chief walked inside the other room ...
and unlike the chief's throne room this room had treasures ... consisting of gold and mysterious herbs glowing around in large containers ...
and there in the middle was a large black caldron .. or at least Theo saw it that way ..
it stood 7 foot tall in the room with a nice smell coming from inside of it ..
"This is our Treasure Guard ... it helps protect every treasure inside the room you can see ... and inside of it are our crops and plants that are slowly dying from not seeing soil for so long ..." meanwhile at the back Theo was snorting coldly at him cursing at him ...
"Of course they're dying why'd you make this rocky flat ground your home instead of finding a large area filled with loamy soil ... sometimes I think we don't deserve brains ..." he said in a low voice ..
"In what way can we help Uhm chief ...??" the chief then turned back and looked at captain Rose ...
"Abir ... " Rose nodded in response before nudging Theo on the shoulder warning him not continue anymore ..
'*Che* ... this woman thinks this is fairytale land ... does she think this guy wanted to plant all of these inside the rocky ground .. and what else ..? expect them to grow into healthy crops and plants ... yea right ... ... next time I'm picking the quest ... this one isn't fun at all ... and why is this chief stealing glances at her like that ... *sigh* ... perv ...' ...
the chief then opened the lid of the so-called caldron revealing the brown plants and crops ... with their roots shrinking with each minute passing ...
"My people haven't been eating since last month ... and this Treasure Guard is our best hope in keeping them fresh and healthy again ... " he sighed deeply before retrieving some sort of a potion from his pants ...
he pour down the liquid inside the caldron .. and immediately after the liquid got in contact with the plants ... the plants got back to their greenery ...
'You shouldn't mess with nature ... ...' Theo thought ... watching the whole process ...
"What is the problem though?? ... the serious problem ... here ...?" Theo asked seemingly getting annoyed ...
"Our ground was of fertile and healthy soil ... and crops grew healthier and fresh ... but one day ... the soil suddenly solidified .. and made the ground hard as steel ... preventing us from planting more ... and then again we've formed alliances. with villages to help us with this problem ... but alas ... our efforts were all in vain ... " Theo widened his eyes with surprise ...
'Oh ... I guess they did have loamy soil then ... but if the soils just solidified out of nowhere how can we help them without even knowing the reason for all of this in the first place ...??'
the chief then went up to the wall and pressed his hand on it causing the lines to light in a blue glow instead or brown or red ...
the hut started opening showing the outside and the beautiful blue sky ...
"Hmm this is going to be a tricky situation ... if we don't know the reason to how and why the soil solidified in the first place ... infront your people and ask them what do they think could've caused this ..." Theo thought with his index finger on his chin ...
"Okay ... I promise to reward you with my treasures once you help us ..." the chief said carrying a saddened expression ...
"Thank you Chief ..." before she could go any further Theo interrupted ..
"No .. with all due respects ... we're not here for your treasures ... your people are what matter in this case .. accepting treasures form you will just show how desperate we are ... and fortunately .. I'm not desperate ... I'm worried about your people and your land ..." he said with a solemn expression causing the chief to force a stiff smile ...
on his right hand side .. Rose's eyes was filled surprise and disbelief ... 'I need those treasures to get 'it' back ...!!' she shouted inwardly as the chief emerged from the hut ... going outside to meet his people ..
"Don't worry captain Rose ... there are other ways to get treasures and pecuniary ... helping these people is our priority ... I'll be ashamed if I accepted anything from them ... they need our help .. we don't need their help .." he said walking out behind the chief dumbfounding captain Rose ...
'Hmmph ... you better keep your promise ..' she sighed deeply before following behind Theo ...
and there infront of them was the whole village gathered infront of the hut ... with the villagers either carrying weapons or bricks ...
'Im sure these people have high power .. and I'm pretty sure they don't need food ... or is it because they really do need the food ..??' Theo thought standing on the chief's side ...
