Captain Rose dodged another strike from the tail as she focused on hitting it away .. but no matter what she did .. she couldn't even inflict a scratch on its thick scales ..
she then looked towards Theo's direction ...
50 minutes had passed .. as he struggled to wiggle his sword out of the snakes mouth ...
everytime its jaw loosened .. it would chomp back hastily like a rat munching on cheese ...
as of now .. the only thing she wanted to do was to help Theo get the sword free .. because it was the only weapon capable of causing great damage to the snake ..
but she herself was occupied .. her face contorted as the tail slammed in her chest sending her crashing into the cave wall ...
rocks fell down on her .. blood trickling down her lips .. her eyes fixated on Theo ..
from behind him .. the snake raised its tail so that it can smash him to bloody mud ..
its head was hard enough to resist the damage so it didn't even care so much ...
and since Theo refused to let the sword go .. captain Rose tried to get and help him but her chest wounded so badly that her ribs were broken and dented ..
and the more she move .. the more blood gushed out from her mouth ..
.her lungs were punctured .. and ribs pierced through them .. causing her to suffocate ...
her eyes began to blur ... the scene infront of her became dark ... her sight dimmed ... but she held on ...
"Dammit!!!" Theo shouted as he dodged the tail ...
the impact it caused forced him to let go of the sword and fall back ..
his face turned to look at the spot he last saw captain Rose ...
but he saw no sight of her ... worry flashed in his eyes ... he panicked ... he spun his body as he dodged the tail from slamming into him ...
he suddenly looked back .. and there he saw captain Rose .. struggling to stay awake ..
he could feel her lifeforce waning slowly ...
he quickly fled from the snake and ran to her side ...
he pushed the rocks aside and held her in his arms ..
thick golden energy surrounded him and spread to her body at rapid pace ...
with his eyes .. he could see the ribs coming back to place ... her almost damaged heart healed ... it pumped her blood ... and recovered her BP ...
color returned to her skin as more and more energy went into her ...
it seeped in through her mouth .. and through all of her pores ...
her eyes met with his ... "Are you okay .... ??!" Theo asked with worry all over his face ..
Captain Rose struggled to speak and just nodded quietly ..
"That's good to hear ... I'm going to continue from here .. just wait .. okay .. just stay here .." Theo said as he stood up ...
his golden energy lingering and surrounding captain Rose's body ..
the latter tried to raise her head but she struggled and so she held out her hand and grabbed his arm ... "Be careful" she said ..
Theo nodded .. camly
but from the side .. captain Rose saw fury in his eyes ... blue lightning covered his hair .. eyebrows and eyelashes as his golden lightning flashed in his eyes ...
in a minute ... his whole body was encased with golden lightning apart from his hair .. eyebrows and eyelashes ..
his aura exploded with murderous intent ...
his hair straightened like a waterfall flowing uphill ..
the streaks of lightning flashed from behind him .. creating lightning doppelgangers ...
suddenly his body flashed ... he appeared infront of the snakes head and threw a punch at it ...
the air around him cracked and gathered at his fist ... creating a vortex swirling with lightning .. wind and the brown element ...
a scary presence enveloped the entire cave as the punch flashed with a scary light that made the snake try to flee ...
it's tail swung at Theo .. but no matter what it threw at him .. lightning would repel it's tail ...
although no damages were visible on it ... it couldn't help but screech as the punch came in contact with its so called hard silver scales ...
and unlike before ... the closest scale that covered the nose area cracked open and revealed the dark red flesh inside ..
the lunch went through the broken scale and penetrated the flesh like a drilling spear ...
blood flew everywhere .. lightning didn't churn its flesh though ...
it was worse than that ... after his punch went straight into its flesh .. his lightning hand .. sharpened like a new whetted blade ... and brow through its metal skull and cracked open a small hole ...
however .. it couldn't go further as Theo flee back and stood 4 metres away from it ...
his hand didn't even contain it's blood ... lightning burnt away everything that came his way ...
the silver snake kept squirming and wiggling in pain .. screeching in pain ..
it's tail blew up everything that it made contact with ...
rocks flew everywhere as blood squirted from its head ... Theo's sword was finally released and went flying towards him ...
he then caught it in mid air ... without a moment to lose ... he swung it with I'll force .. as a surge of lightning tsunami ... went towards the snake ...
lightning spears .. blades ... swords all kinds of weapons appeared in mini forms forming a elemental weapon wave ...
before the snake could react ... the leading lightning knife penetrated it's brain .. but didn't do much to it .. all it did was cause it more pain ..
but following from behind was a giant wave of multiple elemental weapons ... that went straight into the small hole from its head ..
blood squirted all over the place as the weapons continue to barge inside its head ..
small chunks of brain fell out and painted the cave walls with disgusting frames ...
Captain Rose looked at Theo with conflicted feelings ..
she thought that in the end ... they both wouldn't be able to beat the snake but all of a sudden the surge of power just killed the snake on a whim ...
although the snake had somehow been injured ... it was too hard to defeat ...
but now Theo had killed it ...
....
Theo walked towards the snake's dead body and punched inside the snakes head again .. and retrieved a hard deep grey silver metal emblem ...
before he could even analyse the emblem .. he saw something from the snake's neck ...
it was too hard to notice unless you put your gaze intently onto the neck ..
it was a tiny scale the size of his thumb ... it was dark black in colour and all this time .. it was loose ...
all he had to do was pick it up with his fingers and put it into his palm ...
and after collecting the loot he put the snake's body inside his storage .. and walked towards captain Rose ...
"Are you already healed .. if not let stay here for a while ... oh and here ..." he held out his hand and opened her hand and placed the black scale into her hand ..
"No .. Theo this is yours .. the loot is yours ..."
"No please keep it captain ... besides .. I said .. I'll give you something in return for refusing the villages reward ... " he said ...
the captain seemed convinced and squeezed the thumb sized scale .. and held it like she was going to lose it ..
"Thanks .. and don't worry I'm healed ... we can leave .." she then stood up .. and stumbled back ..
a hand then held her from behind .. and balanced her ..
"No I don't think you're okay ... " Theo said with a stern expression ...
Captain Rose looked at Theo for a while before turning her gaze away ..
"If you're so eager to leave .. then I'm going to have to support your body .. do I have the permission .. to carry you .. captain ..??" the lady didn't say anything more and just let Theo carry her on his back ...
a nice silent road awaited .. as they walked through the cavern that was created by the snake ..
and finally after walking for hours . he found a hole .. with light shining through it ...
he breathed in the air .. and jumped out ...
'I still didn't find what caused the water to vanish like that ..' he thought to himself .. as he looked at the puddle infront of him ..
with a sigh of defeat .. he jumped out of the pond and began walking away ..
however after walking seven steps .. he heard something like water gushing out violently ...
suddenly .. the earth trembled ..
and from the hole he came from .. a geyser gushed out .. and filled the pond with water .. with other small drops .. falling on them ..
"Eh ..?? what really happened ... was the snake .. the cause of drought in the village .. if that is the case .. how did that go past through my sight ...??" .. Theo muttered under his breath ..
"Maybe we should think about this on our way back ..." Captain Rose said and said into his ear ..
"Okay ... let's do that .." Theo and captain Rose travelled through the forest slowly .. as they tried to wrap their brains around what could've really happened ...
eventually they thought about solving the issue .. when they got back ...
Theo continued to think about everything that happened beneath the pond ...
he didn't see any blockages from within the cave that held water back .. or maybe something ..
it didn't make sense unless he understood the situation with the snake ..
