Snow blinked her eyes open, only to find herself in an unfamiliar place, far from home. A serene sense of happiness washed over her, yet she quickly noticed the absence of her beloved Chalee. Anxiously, she stepped out of the car, her gaze sweeping across the beach as she searched for her precious senbae.
Without warning, Chalee appeared behind her, enveloping her in a loving embrace. Snow flinched at first, then smirked, a warm smile taking over her features. Even without seeing him, she knew it was Chalee.
"Senbae, how did you..." she began, only for Chalee to cut her off with a gentle chuckle.
"How did you know it was me, even when you didn't see me coming?" he asked, his voice filled with playful curiosity.
Snow turned slightly to glance at him, her eyes sparkling. "Senbae, you're my soul. How could I not recognize you?"
Chalee's laughter filled the air as he tightened his hold, resting his face against her shoulder. "If I'm your soul, Snow, then you're my heart. How could I not know how you're feeling? Now, tell me, what had you lost in deep thought yesterday?"
A wave of panic surged through Snow. Should she tell him? Her hesitation must have shown, because Chalee leaned in to whisper in her ear. "Happy anniversary, my cute Snow," he murmured tenderly.
Her heart fluttered as she grasped his hands, whispering back, "Happy anniversary, Senbae."
The day unfolded with both of them playfully splashing in the sea until the sun climbed high in the sky. As the afternoon rolled in, Snow said, "I want to eat ice cream."
Chalee's eyes twinkled with amusement. "Coming right up," he said, and off he went to fetch the treat. Snow waited on the beach, watching the waves rhythmically kiss the shore.
However, the peaceful moment soon shattered as two strangers approached her. They began teasing her, their intentions turning sinister as they tried to drag her away. Tears welled up in Snow's eyes, and she struggled against their grip.
From a distance, Chalee spotted the commotion. Anger boiled within him as he discarded the ice cream and dashed toward Snow, leaping high to deliver a powerful kick to the assailants, sending them reeling.
Pulling Snow into his arms, Chalee looked deep into her eyes. "Why do you have to be so beautiful that I can't leave you alone anywhere?" he said, his voice a mix of frustration and adoration.
Snow's gaze softened, her inner thoughts swirling. Instead of scolding her, he's praising her and expressing his jealousy. Before he could say more, she leaned in and kissed him, leaving him momentarily stunned.
As their lips parted, Snow whispered, "My baby will always be my only teddy bear."
The week they spent at the beach became an unforgettable memory for Snow. She felt a shift within her, growing stronger and more confident, realizing that no matter what happened, Chalee would always be there to rescue her.
They continued to bask in the joy of each other's company, their love growing deeper with each passing moment. As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, they held hands, knowing their story was only just beginning.
