It was a very bright and blooming environment. Life was all too common in this place, too frequent, yet the beauty of it never faded. Life was loved. The place had a certain fragrance, it smelled of nature and another smell unknown to any human. Many species could be seen roaming the place with no barrier holding them back from conversing with one another.
It was a place where many were welcomed and loved within no matter their defect but not many could be seen to have defects. It was as if only those without defects were welcomed. Most were flawless and looked perfect. It was a place where its name was very well known yet its nature was unheard of throughout the world.
To humans, it is known as HEAVEN.
In a distant fort among this environment, two men could be seen conversing in what looked to be a worried and demanding expression. The two men were standing next to what looked to be a rift of sorts in the middle of a fort, with walls that reminded one of the blue color of a sapphire.
With closer inspection, one could see that one was a high ranking angel and another a simple soldier. Both serve God as one would expect.
"Immediately dispatch a heavenbear and take care of it" said the general with a demanding tone.
"But sir, the danger this creature brings is high and unsafe" responded the soldier with a worried look on his face.
"It does not matter, there is a small fluctuation of demon energy on the human realms which violates the agreement made between the lord of heaven and hell. No demon nor angle is to enter the realm of the humans ever again." said the general once more in an irritated voice.
"Why not send a normal angle sir, this can reduce all collateral damages and also finish the task" cried the soldier once more in hopes of changing the mindset of his superior.
"No we do not know whether this is a demon that comes from the lord of hell, it might be a stray who has done such a deed after centuries by his own accord, we can not go to another war, the last was too devastating. Send a heavenbear and be done with it, there is no room for arguments, the bear will finish the demon without regard for its strength. AND DO NOT REPORT THIS TO ANYONE!!" yelled the general while turning around to walk away, ending the discussion without any room for negotiations.
"Yes s...sir" said the soldier while obeying the command of the general.
----------------------------------------
The elevated grounds were distinct from the rest of the forest in a variety of ways. For one thing, the trees were positioned differently, and the gap between each tree was becoming more obvious, yet it still had a forest feel to it. It was unique in a way that allowed me to be more calm than ever.
I felt as if I was no longer terrified of animals; they just went about their lives as I did, with no real way of harming me. They did not endanger my life. It is probably my power that is leading to such thoughts, the thoughts that one is invincible.
Even though I imagined myself to be a super strong demon, I maintained my alertness and kept my senses active during my journey through the forest while the sun shone brightly.
The trees were casting many shadows on the ground, which connected with my heart and existence as a whole, but I ignored it because there was nothing I could do about it. It was strange, but I understood why and how this happened. I knew it was related to my ability to profoundly understand shadows and create them.
As I journeyed through the forest in search of an appropriate exit, I also hunted certain animals that ended up in my path. I acquired a certain quantity of grains as a result of this, which made me delighted because hunting was now much easier. Simply run after an animal and catch it; after that, it's simple bone crushing.
After a day or two, I had reached a road, one where the two lanes could be visible going in different directions but no car could be observed on these roads. At least not within my limited vision.
I decided to wait a few moments for a car to pass, but no such thing happened; I believe this route isn't particularly busy, which is fortunate for me. I then considered my next step: should I take the road? Even if there are no automobiles now, one will pass at some time as I get closer to a town. Plus, as all highways are normally connected, I might just follow the road to get to my college's town and I do not want that.
So, since following roads is a no-go, do I cross this road and enter the forest on the other side, which may or may not be the same forest that humans just built a road through, causing it to split? Hmm, it is a risky yet rational option since my other choice would be to search for another exit of this forest which would probably be on another side meaning it would take days to once again travel through the forest.
Not worth it, I'll just cross the road to the other side and hope for the best. I once again scan the area for a sign of humanity, but thankfully none can be seen.
I then cast the darkest shadow I can muster on myself to avoid being seen if a car goes by. Even though it is right out in the open, with the light shining brighter than ever, it is still preferable for someone to see a black shadow moving rather than the actual me, which is terrifying. Even if the dark shadow is out of the ordinary and nothing object is casting it.
With the shadow cast, I raced across the 20-meter-wide road and into the woodland on the opposite side of the road. I continue farther into the forest, where I see the same overall terrain and trees as in the previous forest, confirming my hunch that this is the same forest and not something man made or weirder.
I walk through the forest until I am sure that I have at least travelled a couple of km into the forest. As it is evening now, I decide that it is time to act like a real predator and hunt for a bit before continuing my journey. Even though I have exited the previous forest, I still feel unsafe being near the location of a couple of missing young adults. I want to go further and find a better location.
I then heighten my senses and get ready to find something worthy of eating, something bigger than a rabbit. As I am in a somewhat rugged environment, I expect some kind of deer of sorts since I met one in a similar environment in the past.
I continue to search for a moderately large animal when suddenly I am hit, and thrown towards a tree. Ahh, I felt the presence of the animal too late and owww. What animal can hit this hard?
My senses were heightened, yet I couldn't feel the presence of whatever animal attacked me until it was racing at me from behind. Pain. All I felt at that time was pain, the hit had severely injured me as I could see a considerable amount of grains scattered all over the place around me.
As my gaze fell on the beast, I noticed it was a bear. A white bear? Polar bear? I understand my fear of bears, but how can they inflict such severe damage on me when I can fight five wolves and barely get scratched? In this moment, something was awry, something was not right.
