Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: flower crown

"-love you?" She snickered before penetrating the dagger in the ground, giving him a small cut in the cheek that he winced in pain.

"-you are so funny to expect that…The only feeling I have towards you is pure hate…no offense Kieran." She stood up leaving for him the space to do the same.

She smoothly took the white pocket square of his tuxedo and started to clean her dagger. Once she finished she put it back, looked at him as nothing happened with a bright smile on with her hands behind her back; making her collarbone more visible.

"-so…why did you ask to meet me?" he reminded speechless for awhile, licked his dry lips to collect his thoughts before answering:

"-that way." She followed him till she found a cute grey stone bench with a comfy light pink cushion on, and grayish marble pergola on top of it, with plants that was decorating the sides with hanged candles on, making the place ethereal. In front of the bench there was a mysterious big table covered with a white cloth.

"-Why… I don't know about that part of the garden?

-I guess Ayana did a great job.

-Wait, she knew.

-yeah, she helped me with the decoration while I was out doing some business." He answered her with his smirk but she curled her lips and crossed her arm at him before she demanded:

"-can your highness tell me what was that important business that made you busy for the whole day that you didn't tell anyone about it?

-well not anyone though…

-is that your definition about trust and how we should NOT hide anything from each other.

-you really love ruining surprise let's go…" he had enough and started to push her to the sit on the bench, but she held his hand and told him to stop pushing her aggressively or she may fall. He stopped for awhile and picked her up in a bridal style to put her gently on the bench then fixed her dress to make her more comfortable

"-touch me like that the next time and I will cut your hands.

-cut them then." She threatened him but he replied with unbothered attitude; took out the dagger and held it in her hand before he continued:

"-do it…I don't really mind, it will heal anyway." She was shocked not because of his act but how fast the injury on his cheek healed, she put the sharp knife on her lap before tracing his soft cheek with her fingers delicately as if it wasn't injured few minutes ago.

She noticed his intense eyes staring at her action that she moved back slowly and tilted down her head feeling embarrassed and mumbled:

"-I promised I won't hurt you…but I guess I broke up my promise…I am sorry I didn't meant to do it…you really got on my nerves.

-wow…did Ayana taught you how to be sincere, because I think she should give you more lessons, I like it." Ayana hit his arm and he chuckled before he declared:

"-but I love my feisty queen more.

-I am not your queen.

-not yet.

-why did you bring me here?

-take off the cloth." Mal looked in front of her at the big table before she removed to find different bunches of flowers.

She looked at him then at the pile of flowers trying to understand the hint he is giving her, but she was clueless as a little pappy.

"-teach me how to make a flower crown.

-you want me to what?

-teach me how to make a flower crown, you understand the language I am speaking with you right.

-yeah…I am just shocked and…a little bit surprised.

-why so? You know I love to learn different things and I want you to teach me how to make a flower crown now…please." He said handling her; a tulip that she smelled before playing with it between her fingers.

"-I don't want to turn you down but…I don't think I know how to make them anymore…it has been a long time." He smiled sweetly before holding her hands making her look at his eyes and reassured:

"-I don't want to push you but I just want to learn from the best. Would you try to remember for me?

-if I say yes and you won't tease me about it then I will.

-promise." He made pinky promised with her, Malin chuckle before looking around the fresh flowers.

"-sea lavenders, misty, strawflowers, dragon flower, tulips, orchids…you brought every flower but not a single rose.

-As if, you love roses.

-I don't, how did you know.

-you are the type of persons who prefer a sword over a bouquet of red roses or stupid romantic letters.

-make sense…but you should stop stalking me." He chuckled but she ignored him.

"-Ok now…pick any flower you like." Mal picked a white daisy so did Kieran, he looked at her innocently while she just blinked twice before taking two other daisies and the prince copied her move again.

"-hold them in your hand in a row leaving space between them while the stems are together …then let's braid.

-are you not going to show me how?

-you already know how to braid perfectly Kieran.

-So you liked your hair back then when I did it for you.

-I'd rather keep that to myself.

-come on girl…I am living my moment now.

-before you reach the end start adding other flowers." Kieran just sighed then giggled while Mal hid her smile, biting the inside of her cheek.

They have been braiding for a while, silence filled the air, enjoying each other company till Kieran decided to break it.

"-Mal…" she just hummed in response

"-do you think the chain is long enough to fit in my head?

-try it on…it looks perfect…let me try too.

-Yours prettier than mine…I am jealous.

-you shouldn't be. For your first time, you should feel proud.

-thanks miss… And now what?

-now…we will fill in between with more flowers AND DON'T copy me.

-okay…fine…but I will use the pink tulip.

-no it's mine I saw it first…add to that, it's the only colorful tulip." Kieran smirked while the girl was concentrating in making her flower crown.

"-we need a ribbon to secure the bond.

-I will call…

-no need." Mal took the white ribbon around her tight and used the dagger to cut it in half then secured it hers and Kieran's crown.

"-you didn't put the tulip.

-I left it on purpose to put it at the end." Mal explained then bend to take the flower and something fell from it. She grub it from the ground only for her surprise to find…
