"-just one stab…one stab and everything will end…you can do it…hold yourself together" He wiped his sweat looking at the laying body of the king in front of him, not a single move due to his illness. His job is easier that way, the sick man can't fight back, why the hesitation now when he did the hardest part, accepting the mission. What is he waiting for? Getting caught…
"-the king…someone is there with him… and the door is locked." The maid yelled catching her breath and tears falling down her eyes.
-WHAT?" everyone shouted and ran to the king's bedroom…
"-open the door!" Ray shouted but no answer.
He glanced at the door horrified…they caught him…no…he still got a chance…he moved a chair in front of the door lock, trying his best to earn more time…more time to fight his endless hesitation…more time but he know well deep down he won't make it but, he is lying to himself and he know that…however he remembered them and their faces…he have to do it for them.
He raised his hand up, the dagger shimmering in the light on the candles, but the door opened revealing three angry men with a furious woman leading them.
He dropped it and ran to the balcony to escape but he wasn't fast enough; Ray caught him and Ellie punched him that he lost consciousness and fell on the ground.
"-wow… I expected better though.
-yeah…a locked door with a chair on." She snickered before she finished:"-weak.
-you should have gone easy on him.
-maybe later…while the interrogation."
Throughout the time Ray and Ellie was taking care of the beginner assassin, Pryor was checking if the king is safe and Howin was checking if the gem in his ring still there with a furious look on.
"-you are lucky that time old man…you'd better keep a good eye on him or it will cost you your life.
-don't tell me how to do my job young man.
-we will see then commander."
Pryor couldn't take it anymore when the three left he fell down. His legs couldn't hold him anymore, everything is messed up and overwhelming.
His little girl is going to marry the devil himself, the king; his old friend almost died, the kingdom is a mess like his status. Any mistake will cost him his life…what should he do now?
"-take him down we will take care of him tomorrow." Howin ordered the guard coldly and they took the fainting man with them.
"-what are you going to do now?" Ray asked casually.
"-I have to sleep.
-but you didn't eat anything." Howin interrupted and Ray just rolled his eyes.
"-thanks Howin…I don't feel like it.
-but…
-you can't force anyone to do something they don't want to do.
-it's not good for her health, and you call yourself he friend.
-I am better friend than you.
-yeah I see through the way you care for her.
-it's none of your business.
-if you are not going to stop your stupid argument I swear I will keep you starving for the next month. Am I clear?
-yes madam.
-yes madam.
-no go do your thing and don't disturb me till tomorrow morning.
-goodnight
- goodnight"
Ellie left them both and went to her room while the other two glared at each other before taking their way.
Few hours later,
"-wake up." And the man got splashed with water. He gasped catching air.
"-I thought we had an agreement dear Willy.
-sorry I couldn't kill him…I am not a murder." Willy begged between his sobs at the stranger who was standing in the dark only his red eyes glowing, making his look more horrifying for the poor man who was swallowing his salvia and cold sweat formed on his forehead.
"-oh…the righteous good-mannered farmer couldn't kill the evil king to save his family…how pathetic…but a deal is a deal, you didn't kill the king, say goodbye to them…oh wait, how mean I am, you can't wave them good bye, you are locked here…FOREEVER… unless they will have mercy on you and hang you…at least you will meet your family." He then started to laugh as a maniac and the poor man fought his tears back.
"-please master, give me another chance…I promise I won't disappoint you this time…please I will neglect my manners and step on my morals…just give me a second chance that's all what I am going to ask for." Willy cried his heart out but the stranger didn't move he just smirked before he replied:
"-hmm…stepping on your morals you say…but unfortunately I don't give second chances…you already have yours. Goodbye.
-NO…NO…please I beg you…I will be your faithful dog…I will do any work you assign me to do… I am just asking for this chance please master." Willy yelled his lungs out while the strange was facing him with his back and a look of satisfaction formed on his face but soon turned to a warm one.
-thinking about it…maybe…I can give you another chance.
-thank you…thank you…I won't disappoint you.
-you'd better not…you should consider yourself lucky but…" the tied up man felt his brain about to explode, his eyes about to get out of their sockets, about to go insane and yell from pain but the stranger covered his mouth smiling mischievously at him before he continued:
"-if you failed this time, I will make your life miserable, you will wish for death but you won't have it…understood?" Willy couldn't speak he just nodded and the man's dark eyes brightened with joy and stepped back to his original position.
"-that's your last chance Willy…don't waste it and before I go…if anyone knows about our little conversation consider our deal over.
-yes master.
-great and now goodnight…sleep well dear Willy.
-good night." The mysterious man left and the poor Willy collapsed and cried his heart out for the rest of the night regretting his life decisions…
