Lilac struggled to keep up with the arrows she had to hit in rhythm as they flew onto the screen faster than the speed of light. How did people manage to play games at this speed? It was a miracle her feet didn't fall off from how fast she moved.
Stealing a glance she saw that both Luka and Pixie were keeping pace with the game almost as if it were nothing. Hitting perfect on every note.
"Come on Normie! Gotta keep up!" Pixie taunted as the song seemed as if it were starting to get faster and harder. From the goods and near misses that Lilac was barely managing to get, she was starting to see misses, watching as her score quickly began to fall behind the others.
"Come on Lilac! You got this!" Carter and Kersay yelled in unison. Cheering Lilac on.
Loki had barely finished explaining everything that had happened over the course of the last couple when Abigail, or what she usually went by around the others in Thorns. Wrath. Came from behind the coffee bar with a tray full of freshly brewed coffee and teas.
The smile she always wore on her face widened as soon as she caught sight of Loki. "Hey Loki! How've you been?" She spoke almost as if she genuinely thought of him like a friend. Like someone in their right mind would do such a thing.
"I've been better, can't wait for things to slow down." Loki sighed taking his seat at the conglomeration of tables that were pulled close enough to form a decent sized circle.
"I hear you on that. Haven't had a day off in three months spending all my time working on my second shop. Hard to believe that a year ago the first one opened, and now it's a franchise. In two different kingdoms no less" She smiled handing everyone their drinks. "Would you like me to get you your usual?"
"If you wouldn't mind." Loki answered as respectfully as he could.
Giving him a small smile in return she nodded before turning and quickly making her way back behind the bar.
"So you are on a team with the fall maiden you say? This definitely does allow us to keep tabs on her at all times." Rosen hummed taking that information in stride, speaking only when he knew Abigail was out of earshot before turning his gaze to the others. "Seems like Rampage didn't completely ruin everything after all. Turns out our luck is still good."
"Our luck is still good you say?" A man with flowing dirty blonde hair questioned looking up from a sketchbook. "Then how about I take my luck and continue my work, after all being around HIM doesn't mean my good fortune will last now will it?"
"You're so afraid of the boys semblance for no reason at all, most of us can touch him without needing to even touch him." A man who wore preachers garb said eying Loki conceitedly.
"Reverend, Sight. That's enough, no need to pick on the boy like that. After all, I do it more than enough for everyone." Trader chuckled as she eyed Loki with a devilish smile.
"I didn't come here to be tortured." Loki snarled at the three eying them each with an infernal hatred he felt for them. Hell the only reason he was here, was solely because he owed his life to Rosen. The leader of their little terrorist cell.
"You're no fun" Trader practically pouted at Loki crossing her arms over her chest as she looked away.
"This isn't about having fun, this is about doing our job." Shepherd would say pulling her gloves tight on her hands. Eyeing all of them to see who would be the first she would need to handle and when.
"Here's your hot cocoa." Abigail spoke in a sing-songy tone as she placed the tiny saucer that held a rather sizeable mug of genuinely good Hot cocoa. It was definitely the best he ever tasted. All the time and effort that went into making just a single cup. It brought him back to when he had first met Abigail.
She was so nice, so warm and tender. That he had genuinely been caught off guard by how she treated him. After he had completely refused eating or drink anything they made for him, for way too long.
The first thing he had accepted from he was the hot cocoa. And she made it for him every single time he came into her shop, and every single time he came home.
"Thank you." Loki said offering her a soft smile before taking a small sip from it savoring the creamy chocolatey flavors, all the while not giving the fact he enjoyed the drink so much away.
Lilac sat on the couch of the karaoke room that Carter and Cayde had got for them to have their fun. Though what Lilac wanted much more than anything in this moment was a cigarette. Between finding out that Loki was apparently with some form of extra stalky-stalker.
Worst of all she lost to Luca, which was surprising given the fact that she seemed like the reserved shy type. One thing out of all of it bugged her more than anything. Why didn't Loki tell her that he was seeing someone? Was it because he was wanting to avoid the paparazzi?
Or was there something else that he wasn't telling her?
