"Lilac?" Loki questioned as he pushed passed his two teammates rushing over to her with a towel. Quickly wrapping it around her. "Take a deep breath. Tell me what's going on." He whispered into her ear as soft as he could. For the last thing he wanted was to do was to make her panic worse.
"I don't know.." She breathed her voice breaking some as she tried to piece any of this together, to try to fight the tingling feeling that washed over her body, and seemed to intensify.
"Do you really think this is a good idea?" A ghastly voice whispered sending a freezing chill through her body.
Her eyes widening, Lilac pushed Loki away before looking around feeling her heartbeat pumping harder and harder in her chest. The sound became deafening, her vision blurring to the point she couldn't even see Loki holding her.
Instead. She saw the last thing she ever thought she'd ever seen.
Death.
[Meanwhile at Abbies Brew]
Loki slowly sipped from his glass of Hot cocoa listening intently to Rosen as he laid out the plans for everyone's next operation. Including his own.
"Murder. You're going to continue acting as our inside man. Our contact in the heart of the beast. I want you to tell us everything you find out, no matter how miniscule it may seem. It could be worth everything for us. If they have you leave the school for a mission I want to know. We must do whatever we can to get the Maiden and her abilities on our side. Should worse come to worse." Rosen said as his gaze slowly went towards Abigail who was off on the opposite side of the establishment continuing to work on getting it brought up.
"Does it have to be through call? Or can I text it?" Loki asked holding up the scroll that had recently been given to him.
"I would prefer you call, but if you can only manage to send a text. Then that's fine too." Rosen would nod looking at everyone else. "You all know what to do correct?"
"Yes." They all spoke in unison before standing and giving Rosen a respectful bow.
As he began to walk off. Loki was stopped by Sight grabbing his arm.
"There might be a little problem for you next door if you catch my drift." Sight spoke his chocolate brown eyes glowing a slight caramel color. "Your lunatic of a girlfriend is using her Semblance again."
"First of all. She isn't my girlfriend. Second of all, how could you possibly know that?" Loki spoke his mood that he thought was improving being slammed right back down into the asphalt at the mention of Pixies presence.
"Like Trader, I know things. Lots of things, and also it's being livestreamed." Sight said holding up his scroll showing the state of the Arcade. And what Loki saw was enough to make his blood run cold.
He saw Carter barely managing to stand from laughing with an intensity that was causing him to actively cough up blood between laughs, worst of all. Loki could've sworn that he had blood coming from almost every oriface on his head. Which definitely wasn't a good thing.
The next thing he saw. Was Kersay, she apparently drew the best stick of the whole lot as she seemed to be tending to the member of team CLVR, as they all each reeled from the effects of Pixies semblance.
And finally. The sight that made Loki's stomach tighten so hard, he was certain he was about to create a diamond in his gut.
Lilac was hugging the security bars of the DDR machine that it seemed at one point she was playing on. But instead of the look of the Lilac he was used to, she looked absolutely awful, almost as if she were in some kind of trance, or contact high. Her body jolting every now and then as if it were attempting to shock her inner-systems into bringing her back.
But to Loki. It definitely seemed like Lilac was on the verge of an Overdose, one so severe that he was sure it was going to kill her. And it was something he couldn't allow to happen.
"I really hate her sometimes..." Loki growled under his breath as he felt around his body counting the amount of sharp objects he had at the ready. A mighty total of one. One knife to try to persuade Pixie and her crew to not create an even bigger crime scene. Or especially one that'd definitely get Thorns on this kingdoms watch list.
"The feelings mutual. She insulted my clothing brand the other day. If I had my say, the bitch would've been gone weeks ago. But lord knows Boss keeps her here because of her semblance, and literally nothing else." Sight would say handing Loki a rather large napkin. "This should help stall your innevitable high."
"Oh boy. How considerate of you Sight. It's almost like Pixie has to touch me to activate my high. Which would result in my semblance activating on her." Loki would say somewhat sarcastically, and somewhat serious. All the while tying the napkin around his face. He was just happy Abigail went with the high quality stuff this run around, or else this would've been increasingly more uncomfortable.
Though the situation could've been infinitely more worse. The Reaper twins could've been here, and with their presence. Everyone in the Arcade would've been as good as dead.
Taking a moment to gather his wits. Loki proceeded to leave the coffee shop, and head next door into the hell he dreaded dealing with more than he dreaded going into class everyday. It was time, he had to deal with Pixie, all the while avoiding blowing his cover. Loki was starting to believe this night couldn't possibly get anyworse.
That was however. Until he saw the calling card of the Twins presence. With the moment he opened the door. Loki found himself thrown into a world that threatened to ruin him.
As Loki's vision focused on the greens and browns of the familiar forest that surrounded him. He finally felt an emotion that he was glad no one else he particularly cared about would see. The genuine feeling of true fear.
