Running down the hall. Lilac could hear the sounds of gun shots and crackling flames. Deep down she hoped that Loki would be okay. Yet at the same time, there was something that told her he would be fine. And oddly enough. She trusted that feeling. Trusting her feelings where his skills were concerned. She didn't even know him that well, but she knew he would be fine.
The only question there was now. would she and Carter be fine?
Turning to Carter she'd take notice that he was beginning to fall behind. Probably because of his injuries.
Slowing down some she'd wait for him to rejoin her. Before looping his arm over her shoulder and aided him through the halls.
"You don't need to hold me. I'll be fine!" Carter would say personally feeling embarrassed. Firstly because he had gotten his ass kicked when he should've been able to handle a fight. And secondly because now he was getting help from a girl. In the natural order of things. He should be the one helping her!
"I'd rather you not fall behind thank you very much. Don't want miss pissy britches to get you before we even get close to getting out." Lilac would say pinning him with a serious look. "Kinda hard to strut hot girl stuff around if it gets to a situation where I can't even apply it. As they say should always be ready for hot girl stuff."
With that being said. She would lead them towards a pair of double doors. The doors looked to be solid steel doors, with the windows being tinted too dark for them to see through it at this distance. And at this rate they didn't have the time to really question how safe this path was. Running into the doors. The two would use their combined body weight to force the doors open, only to end up pausing once they reached the other side.
What they saw were several work stations filled to the brim with electronics and dust. And teams of two set to each station working on separate parts for something. It was hard for them to tell. As they were too far away to even notice. What they did notice though, was the man dressed all in white who stood over watching everything that was going on. The one thing that Lilac hoped was that they hadn't been spotted by the man.
"Come on you half-wits! We haven't got all day! Hurry the fuck up and finish the devices!" The furious bark of a woman would ring out. As a woman in black and green walked onto the floor holding some kind of electrified rod in her hand. Stopping next to a woman who was obviously moving slower than the others.
The woman with the rod raised it slowly before viciously beating the poor girl down. Each hit creating a loud zap sound as the rod electrocuted the girl with each contact.
The girl cried out in pain. Pleading, and begging for the woman to stop. Promising that she would work harder and keep up with the rest. But for her it was too late as with each plea the girl gave. The woman increased the severity of the beating. Swinging with all she was capable of. Making each following zap louder and louder.
"Who said you could fucking talk to me?!" The woman would roar as she jabbed the rod right where the girls was. Shocking her mercilessly.
The woman only stopped as soon as the girl stopped moving. No sign of life in the girls body as the scent of fried flesh wafted into the air.
Turning in a wide circle the woman would glare at everyone in the room. "Who the fuck said any of you could slow down?! Pick up the fucking pace if you don't want to end up like this bitch!" She would roar as everyone began to pick up the pace. Not wanting to be the next victim of her ruthless assault.
"What did we just witness..?" Carter would whisper as Lilac slowly backed them up in the hope of going through the door. But for their continued bad luck. The doors were closed behind them.
Closing her eyes tight she tried not to let her fear overtake her as she reached behind her for a latch or something that could be used to open the door. Which there was not. Whimpering low in her throat. She'd look to Carter trying not to freak out.
"Do you happen to have your scroll on you?" She'd whisper back to him. Hoping that at least one of them had a working Scroll.
"Yeah I have my Scroll. But what use will it be here? What're we going to do call the authorities?" Carter would question before pausing, wanting to smack himself in the face. "Of course. Call the authorities."
Lilac would nod furiously leading Carter out of the obvious path of vision they were in.
Loki rolled out of the way of another round of fireballs. Gritting his teeth in pain as he tried to ignore his injuries. She was better than what he assumed she would be. And that was one of the biggest mistakes he made the entire fight.
"We aren't your enemy! Why won't you get that through your skull?!" Loki would yell drawing another set of daggers. This set not dust infused.
"How am I to trust a single word out of your mouth? For all I know you could be after my abilities!" Kersay would yell manifesting more fireballs, this round of them seemed to falter a bit. Almost as if she were overusing her semblance. But the weird thing is her aura had yet to show the evident overuse.
"If you need some kind of information that'll make you feel better. The three of us are due to be Beacon students! Why in the hell would Beacon students be kidnapers?!" Loki would yell hoping that she would see some form of common sense.
She would pause considering her words. He did have a point after all. And now that she was able to get a closer look at him. She realized she had seen him and the girl before right outside of Beacon. He was the one who had pushed the girl into the fountain just the other day. And now here they were willing to risk their lives just to save hers. How peculiar.
"You have a point. I'm sorry for judging you in the moment." Kersay would say as she let her power diminish allowing her to stand on the ground normally. "Where did your friends run off to?"
"That was the next thing on my list to figure out after having you kick my ass with that crazy semblance of yours." Loki would say turning around looking in the direction they must have ran towards. "hopefully they haven't done something way too stupid."
