Afew days after the opening day of the competition began, all they did was a survival exercise. Back then, based on each order of registration, they gained their territory. Each participant is transferred with a teleportation move to their respective territory.
It just so happens that Anko and his friends get a region called Kien, a valley-like region and foggy snow. The area is arguably like the area around the north pole that is always cold (because it leads north) while there are several other areas used in this competition, namely: Kien, Mien, Nien, and Hien.
All regions get different seasons.
In Kien there is winter.
In Mien there is summer.
In Nien there is spring, and...
In Hien there is autumn.
All get different seasons (indeed in such settings and do not apply to the tropics.
