Chapter Twenty-Seven
We get to the living room and my sisters are alert. They have heard the screaming too. Then I tell them not to go out because I don't think it's a good idea.
The door is pushed almost immediately, and Henry walks in, in a hurry. This cannot be good. He opens his arms and I run into them.
''I am sorry for letting you down.'' He tells me calmly. I didn't expect this to happen, but it has.'' He adds again and I can feel how sad he is.
''What do you mean, Henry?'' I ask calmly expecting him to explain.
''I went to the main house to speak to the king and the queen about the incident that just occurred. I was hoping to find some truth on this, but before we spoke, one of the guards came to call us and he informed us that the two guards that were holding the man died a mysterious death, and the man disappeared just like that. They have no idea where he went to.'' He explains sadly. ''I am so sorry, my lady.''
