"I wonder exactly how tall this building is." a young man uttered under his breath as he gazed down into the busy streets below. He was standing on roof of his apartment building, mere inches away from certain death. His pale face and snow white hair were bombarded by the night rain.
Aeron Kershaw, twenty four year old college student was always an outcast, whether it was at school; his family; his friend group, he always felt he didn't quite fit in and was practically drowning in his loneliness. He had no motivation to do anything, didn't try hard at school which led to him barely making it through high school and didn't do anything other than what was required of him.
"Whatever, seems tall enough for the job." the cold, lifeless look in his emerald green eyes could bring the most joyful child to tears.
Aeron couldn't explain the empty void he felt inside, unable to find the words to properly describe the feeling of hopelessness, self hatred and bleak existence.
"Sorry, mom. At least you'll have one less burden to deal with." the words escaped his cold lips, hoarse and dry. Aeron took one step forward and plummeted to the busy street below. He closed his eyes with a peaceful smile on his face, accepting his end.
Falling....
And falling...
And falling...
'Jesus, how long have I been falling for' he thought to himself as he opened his eyes in confusion.
To his surprise he found himself suspended in mid-air , the cars and people below simply stopped moving, even the rain drops were had completely stopped in their course.
And Aeron paid no attention to this sudden stoppage of time, instead he was completely memorized by the dark object in front of his face.
It looked like a helmet from medieval times, something you'd see a brave knight wear to battle. It gave off a eerie and icy feeling, completely enveloped in pitch black fire and smoke. Aeron couldn't help but reach for it, his hand seemed to be moving on it's own but he didn't fight it.
"For Samael." Aeron's eyes slowly went from emerald green to a dark shade of red as his hand got closer to the dreary helmet.
