After the Angels fled, the area began shifting and changing again.
--------
This time Aeron and Godfrey were transported to an elegant palace.
The room was large enough to fit a hundred people. There were a vast variety of weapons neatly placed around the room.
Razor sharp swords; golden gauntlets; long silver spears; shiny and polished metal armour of different shapes and sizes; etc.
"Where are we now?" Aeron asked while admiring the beautiful change of scenery.
"Where would the Angels flee to? Heaven of course. Specifically the Armoury of The Angels." Godfrey answered with a hint of sarcasm.
"Ah yes, of course. How could I have possibly missed that? Any other human would come to that conclusion immediately.
Sorry to have disappointed you." Aeron retorted with his arms crossed.
"It's fine, I'm not disappointed. I wasn't expecting much from you since I first laid eyes on you." an amused grin appeared on Godfrey's face.
Before Aeron could reply, the doors of the room burst open with two people walking in.
One was a female Angel with long black hair and a expressionless look on her caramel coloured face and the other Angel behind her had an infuriated look on his pale face, his blonde hair stained with a thick and black substance.
The former yelling at the latter.
"We were close to reclaiming The Forsaken Field from those beasts and you make us flee!" the blond Angel yelled and chased after his sister.
"They blindsided us with a giant on their side which caused several casualties on our forces. We had to retreat, Samael." she responded calmly.
Sariel walked towards a rack containing a collection of long swords and placed her sword along side the others while Samael leaned against a wall nearby, staring at her with contempt.
"We're Angels! We are children of God! We would have managed!" Samael shrugged his shoulders.
"Are you questioning my leadership, Angel of Light? May I remind you that Father put me in charge of our soldiers, you will follow my orders with question." Sariel raised her voice as she walked towards her brother and poked him in the chest.
"Oh for fuck sake! He put you in charge because you're His favourite! The golden child!
You're not capable of leading this army, you barely have experience in the battlefield.
You were always hiding in the shadows, masking your incompetence by being a diplomat." Samael slapped her hand away from his chest.
Sariel's aloof expression changed into an angered frown when she heard her brothers words.
She raised her hand in an attempt to slap Samael and swung at his face but was surprised when he blocked it with his forearm.
He raised his other hand and slapped her in retaliation.
The smack echoed through the room as Sariel recoiled at the impact, a stinging sensation in her left cheek left her shocked and enraged.
"Oooooooooooooooh, damn." Aeron cringed when he saw how hard Samael hit her.
"Don't you ever even attempt to strike me, you arrogant waste! You can't hide behind Father anymore." Samael spat out and walked out of the room.
The tension in the room could be cut by a blade. Sariel still cupped her cheek in her hand and glared at her brother.
He stopped at the door with his back turned towards her. "Father made the wrong decision choosing you as leader." He said in a cold tone before finally leaving the armoury.
