"1, 2, 3, 4, John you have to pay Arlo 300 you landed on his property"
Slapping a hand on the table he stood up, pointing at the blonde boy.
"What the heck! I'm not giving that asslo my money!"
"It's in the rules John, just give him the money"
"No! He's in jail! I'm not giving money to a criminal!"
"That's not how it WORKS!"
Glancing towards an awkward queen, Isen lets out a sigh, leaning his chin on against his hand. "I'm guessing this isn't the kind of fun you had in mind, huh?"
I let out a chuckle as I watched Remi let out a tired sigh, dropping her cash on the table. "You guys didn't want to make gingerbread houses so what was I supposed to do?". The orange-haired boy just rolled his eyes before stuffing his face with Doritos that were placed in a small bowl beside him.
"Hey, I've got an idea" Blyke muttered suddenly, everyone turning in his direction curiously. I hummed in response as he glanced over his shoulder looking out the window. Snowflakes continued to fall from the sky as the ground was covered in this cold, white, and thick layer of snow.
"How about we spend some time outside? It's not every day you see snow afterall." My eyes lit up in excitement as I eagerly nodded my head. "Yes! We can do all sorts of stuff there too!"
"Yup! And after that, we could go back inside, get some hot chocolate and proceed to open gifts!"
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement as Remi stood up from her seat with a wide smile on her face.
"It's settled then! We're extending this Christmas party outside!" We cheered in excitement as we all quickly got up from our seats and slipped on our padded jackets.
"Come on Crystal! Let's build a snowman together!" Remi shouted from the doorway, Blyke, and Isen, Elaine, Sera peeking at me from behind her as I just smiled and waved a hand at them. "You guys go ahead, I just have to do something real quick!"
The four just nodded their heads before disappearing out of the house. Remi linked her arms with the other two girls as the other two boys trailed close behind them. I turned back around, approaching my paper bag filled with presents, picking it up, and slowly placing it down beside the Christmas tree. A smile made its way up to my face as I stared at the many presents laying under the Christmas tree, including mines. It's my first time spending Christmas with my friends and I couldn't be happier.
"If you're going to keep smiling like an idiot, I suggest not doing it in front of me"
Turning my head to the side my eyes laid on a familiar blonde boy, a book in between his fingers as he just casually sat on the couch, a leg over the other with his eyes glued on his book. I raised an eyebrow at the boy, a smirk made its way up to my face as I made my way over to him.
"You aren't going outside?" I asked the boy, looking down at him as he just kept his eyes on the book, occasionally turning the pages.
"Why would I? It would just be a waste of my time-"
"Pfft" Finally looking up at me, he narrowed his eyes at my smirking face as I tried holding in a laugh. "A waste of my time he says," I said mockingly, raising a hand over my mouth, completely ignoring the glares Arlo shot me.
"Excuse me?" He says suddenly closing his book shut and placing it on the table beside him.
"Well, you say it's a waste of your time yet your here, celebrating with us" I stated crossing my arms across my chest, as the boy just scoffed before standing up making me back away.
"Don't get the wrong idea, I just came here to keep an eye on everyone. In case something like before happened again." The boy said staring at me in the eyes as I just let out a chuckle. "How nice of you to do that"
But before Arlo could respond a loud shout interrupted us as I turned my head to the side, meeting eyes with a familiar pink-haired girl. "Crystal come on! We're burying the boys! Join us!" Nodding my head at the smiling girl I waved my hand at her.
"Be there in a minute!" I shouted out to the gurl as she nodded her head, going back to the group as I turned my head back to Arlo, and to my surprise he just kept his eyes on me, staring at me.
"Do you always do that?" I curiously asked the blonde boy as I walked away from him, grabbing my purple padded jacket with him trailing behind me confused.
"Do what?"
Slipping on my jacket and zipping it up, I glanced over my shoulder to see him still staring at me. I scoffed at his response before turning around and approaching him, stopping right in front of him as I tilted my head up from how tall he was.
"Stare at me" The boy's eyes widened in realization as he turned his head to the side, covering it with his hand as his face flushed red. "I wasn't- I didn't- whatever!"
Chuckling at his reactions I poked him on his side making him flinch before turning on my heel and towards the doorway.
"If you change your mind you know where we are," I said glancing over my shoulder at the boy as he just stared at me from the corner of his eye, slightly nodding his head.
And without another word, I made my way out of the house. Taking in a deep breath, I closed my eyes feeling the cold night air caress my face as the voice of my friends shouted out to me in a happy tone.
"Crystal! Finally! Please help us! It's freezing cold!" My eyes snapped open to see a pleading Isen completely covered in snow like a snowman, and right beside him looking tired was a familiar redhead covered in snow too up till the neck.
"She won't help you, she's on our side! Right Crystal?" I happily gave a thumbs up at the pink-haired girl as she grinned my way, and right beside her was Elaine who just looked at the two boys' sweat dropping, and Sera who just smirked at them crossing her arms over her chest.
"Come on Crystal, let's bury John" Sera jokingly said to me as a black-haired boy began running over to me with a terrified expression on his face.
"Oh, no way! I'm not gonna get buried like those two over them. Nu-uh!" I chuckled at the boy's attempt to hide behind me as I took a step forward about to make my way over to the group.
"Aww, it won't be that bad-! Ahhhh!" Not noticing the snow-covered rock in front of me, I let out a surprised shout as I tripped over it. Caught off by it I didn't respond quick enough and before I knew it I was falling face-first onto the ground.
Closing my eyes shut, waiting for the impact to come but it never did, instead, I felt an arm hook around my waist tightly as it pulled me back up. "Careful Crystal, you almost fell."
As soon as I was back on my feet I turned my head around, my eyes meeting a pair of yellow ones as his arm was still wrapped around me. Our faces just inches apart. "You okay?"
Surprised, I blinked a few times at the boy before finally realizing what just happened. My face flushed bright red as I brought my hands up to my face, attempting to hide the blush on my cheeks. My heart pounding loudly in my chest. "John, y-your arm"
The boy hummed confused before also finally realizing what has happened. His eyes widened in embarrassment as a tint of blush spread across his face. Hesitantly retracted his hand back to him as I peeked at him between my fingers, still covering my face. "S-sorry Crystal! I-I didn't realize-"
"It's okay John, thanks for catching me" I interrupted him, still embarrassed as I lowered down my hands to the side. The boy just smiled at me before slowly backing away. "Anytime Crystal"
"Ew! Get a room!" Snapping my head around, I glared at a gagging Isen who was still buried in snow. "Oh, shut up orange head!"
"You can't make me" I clenched my fist in annoyance as Isen just turned his head to the side. I was about to make another remark when all of a sudden I got an idea. I glanced at the other four with a smirk on their face as Remi and Sera smirked back, Elaine sweat dropping hiding behind Sera.
"Hey, stalker!" I shouted out activating my ability as my eyes glowed a bright gold shade, the two girls just grinned excitedly, slowly making their way behind the two boys. Isen curiously turned his head towards me. "What grape head?"
"Eat this!" Without giving him any chance to respond I quickly form a snowball in my hand throwing it right in his face as Blyke just sat there laughing hysterically beside him. "Dude! Hahaha! She got you good!"
Smirking wickedly at the two boys I began creating more snowballs in my hands.
"You ain't seen nothing yet. Fire!!"
"Wait what!?-!" Before the two boys could react Remi and Sera immediately threw multiple snowballs at them from behind, earning a surprised scream from the boys. Letting out a chuckle I noticed Elaine scooting away from the 4 as she slowly made her way over to me. Curiously, I quietly approached as she just leaned against the wall of John's house a few feet away from us.
"You okay Elaine?" Flinching, she turned her head at me before giving me a small smile, nodding her head.
"Oh- yeah, I'm okay" I tilted my head to the side to see Elaine nervously fidgeting her fingers, looking away.
"You don't wanna join in the fight?" I asked trying to think of things to talk about with her.
The girl just shook her head before glancing over at the group of friends playing around in the snow, throwing snowballs at each other laughing. Blyke and Isen out of their spot, throwing their own snowballs at the other two as John suddenly joined in too, throwing balls at the others.
"I think it's best for me to stick this one out, I'll just be here to make sure they don't get injured," the aqua-haired girl said smiling at them as a smile made its way up to my face.
"Alright, but if you wanna join your always welcome to." I smiled at the girl as she looked at me surprised for a moment before returning a smile.
"Okay, thank you Crystal" Waving at Elaine I slowly walked away from her and made my way over to the group.
"Crystal watch out-!" Before I could even lift my head up, I felt the freezing cold ice of a snowball colliding with my face as I let out a surprised yelp. Taking a step back I shook the ice out of my face as I snapped my head towards whoever threw it. And to my surprise, my eyes landed on a familiar magenta-haired girl grinning at me.
"Oh ho ho! You are on!" And before I knew it I began creating multiple snowballs at the same time, and not even in a blink of an eye I practically created an ice snowball machine.
"Oh come on! That's cheating!" Isen screamed at me, his eyes glued on the machine as I just nodded my head at him smuggishly.
"All is fair in a snowball fight unless you're scared," I smirked at the boy, as he just glared at me with a smirk.
"Oh, you're gonna regret saying that"
