After the ceremony, Obedience was guided by a maid to a large bedroom. There, she was sat on a cushion as the maids got to work brushing her long wavy red hair out of its braid, and donned her in a silk nightgown that went to her ankles. She takes off her bracelets and hands them to the maid, but keeps her rosary and the ring that belonged to her mother.
They finish up just as Allen walked in, dressed in brown pajama pants and a white cotton tee. The maids leave and Allen helps Obbi up from the cushion. He studies his new wife for a moment before approaching her. Obedience looked down, not knowing what to do despite being taught about becoming a perfect wife her entire life.
She's brought out of her trance as Allen places his large hand on her upper arm. She flinched, before forcing herself to hold still. "What's wrong..?" He asked, and the sensation that came with his voice was foreign to Obedience. "N-nothing. I-I'm sorry." She says, her stutter more prominent than usual.
"Do you want me to leave?" He asks and she shakes her head no. He then sighs and takes his shirt off, looking her in the eye with his emerald green ones. "Are you sure? Because seeing as this is our wedding night, we're expected to fulfill our duty." He says, voice gruff. She nods, and notices just how well built her husband is. "Are you sure, Obedience?" He asks and she nods again. "Y-yes, Allen." She replies. "Good. Because once I start I won't stop." He says before wrapping his arms around Obedience, pulling her nightgown down off her shoulder and placing open mouthed kisses where her neck and shoulder met.
He yanked the lace string holding the back of her nightgown softly, watching with a blush as it glides down her body mesmerizingly. He claims her lips in a kiss that leaves them both gasping for air. He pushes her onto the bed gently and hovers over her as her arms wrapped around his back, grasping his shoulders delicately. He gets rid of his pants and with one swift movement, they intertwine in each other's embrace.

It's been five years since Obbi had gotten married, and she hadn't dared take her wedding rings off. Although she was well aware that once he returned, now a hero, he may not want to be with her and may ask the church for a divorce.
Her Father entered the room she was in, and waited until a little boy with jet black hair and greenish grey eyes scampered out of the room after giving Obbi a peck on the cheek. "Boy certainly doesn't take after you." Her Father says snidely. Obbi sighs. "You h-hate me, yet l-love my son?" She chastises. "He looks and acts far better than you ever did or will." Her Father scowls, and lifts his cane. Obbi withholds a cry of pain as the cane is brought down and smacks harshly against her arm.
"He is the son of a Knight, and as my grandson he will be raised in this palace the same way I raised you and your sisters and brothers. Then, he will inherit my money and land. And become the next Duke when I'm gone." He snarls, his lip curling up distastefully. Obbi hated her Father with a passion. Her son wasn't even her son, because her father was so greedy of a man he had to take that from her as well.
"He comes back today, you know." Her Father says. "O-oh?" She asked, rubbing her sore arm. "Yes. And with the achievement of defeating the creature on his hands, three kings are offering him the hands of their daughters in marriage." Her Father says, turning his back towards Obbi. "Obedience Caroline Orchid, I swear if you make this marriage fail... I will not have mercy on you!" Her Father rages, slamming his cane onto the back of her head, forcing her to her knees. "Y-yes Father..!" Obedience yelped, her hands and knees hurting from the impact of falling.
"Grace. The Knight has arrived." A servant says, bowing at the sight of Obedience's father. "Very well. William! Help Obedience while I talk to the Knight. Escort him to my drawing room I'll be there in a moment." Her father says while walking out, leaving Obedience and the healer in the main foyer. "Is that better, Obbi?" William asks. "Y-yes. Thank y-you, W-William." She says, brushing a lock of scarlet hair behind her ear. "Your welcome, m'lady." He says, before taking his leave.
A little boy bounces into the room, his dark hair darker than usual and greenish gray eyes gleaming. "Momma! I just got out of the bath!" He says, bouncing into his mother's arms animatedly. "I-I see t-that." She says, brushing her sons hair back from his face. He was the perfect mix between her and Allen, he had black hair that held streaks of ginger, greenish gray eyes, light freckles decorating his cheeks. He also had his fathers handsome features, though in a more boyish sense.
It was moments like this that Obedience adored the most, moments where her and her son could just sit together and enjoy themselves. "Why don't y-you go p-play in the g-garden? I'm s-sure your g-grandfather w-wouldn't be h-happy s-seeing us a-alone." Obedience says. The boy nods before looking his mother in the eye. "Momma, why does grandfather hate you? Your my mother. Shouldn't he love you if he loves me?" He asks and she looks down. "I'm a-afraid that's n-not how I-it w-works, S-Sebby." Obedience says, and he nods before bounding towards the door of the foyer.
"I-I wish t-things w-were easier.."
