Who knows since when Dana felt comfortable and used to having Jani in her apartment. No more awkwardness. Every time they watch a movie together, it's always filled with jokes and laughter from both of them. He could laugh out loud without having to think about what tomorrow would be like. After a long time, Dana was finally able to feel comfortable and being calm again with the opposite gender.
Jani is so attractive to him. Jani is not the type of woman who will maintain her image until it is too exaggerated in his eyes. For him, Jani always appears as it is. Jani is the complete package according to Dana. Beautiful, fun, patient, kind and genuine. Dana likes Jani, who rarely wears thick make-up. Very in contrast to his former ex in terms of appearance. Jani is more what she is and that is precisely what makes her attractive.
Dana walked with full of confidence. He immediately walked in after previously convincing his heart at the door of his apartment. He was looking for the person he asked to stay there for an indefinite period of time.
"What are you cooking?" Dana pulled up a chair while still looking at Jani who was busy with her spatula. The girl was so engrossed in her cooking that she didn't notice that Dana opened the front door of the apartment.
"Hey, ouu.. Dana, why didn't you tell me you were going home? I can prepare our meal earlier," Jani was a little surprised when Dana suddenly sat down at the dining table.
Her cheeks were flushed red, in stark contrast to her fair skin. She was embarrassed to be noticed by Dana with such a warm smile. If it's a dream, Jani doesn't want to wake up. Dana, still fully clothed in her work clothes, sat down and now continued to stare at her with a look that Jani couldn't figure out. There was a quiver in her heart that she tried to hide as best she could. However, Dana's charm actually makes Jani's attitude caught by Dana, clumsy and confused about what to do. Which made Dana chuckle. Jani is so cute when she's shy like she is now, Dana thought.
"You're so busy cooking that you don't even know I opened the apartment door," Dana smiled broadly. "Can I help you?" Dana volunteered.
"Ouw.. Well.. No need, thank you, I cooked lasagna, it will be done in a minute, the result of search the recipe this afternoon," Jani smirked because she remembered that she rushed home after feeling a little dizzy from the effects of work, then because she was bored she ended up in the kitchen.
They engage in small talk about coffee to their respective favorite writers. Jani grew happier just because she felt close to Dana. Although small talk accompanied by jokes and laughter can not necessarily be categorized as feelings of interest in Jani. It's just that at least Jani can be a friend who can make Dana feel comfortable in exchanging ideas.
In life, someone needs someone who can be invited to exchange ideas, whoever it is. Indeed, humans are social creatures and humans do need each other. Jani is no exception. Now that she thought about it, Dana was one such patient person and the type of guy who would listen to random chatter from her. Jani really likes to talk and tell Dana what's on her mind these days. Jani likes Dana who is mature in his demeanor.
After Jani's cooking was cooked, they both ate the lasagna voraciously. It was so much fun chatting earlier, Dana didn't even change his formal outfit and clean hisself up. However, his stomach rumbled after seeing Jani's mouthwatering cooking. He decided to eat first. After he done with the meal, Dana said goodbye and go to his room for a while to clean up and change into casual outfit.
Shortly after Dana finished cleaning hisself, she invited Jani to chat on the balcony over a cup of tea. It was a beautiful night according to Jani. With a beautiful man in her eyes too. The night breeze was able to make Jani feel a little cold so she reflexively hugged her own body. Dana saw this, rushed into the apartment and asked Jani to wait for a moment. Not long after, Dana reappeared with a blanket, which Jani immediately put on.
"Put a blanket on so you don't get cold," Dana then sat back in her chair.
"Eh? Thank you," Jani's heart was pounding.
"Hmm, you're welcome."
Dana is so sweet and caring. If Dana would become her boyfriend, Jani would be very happy. Isn't being able to be with loved ones very capable of making yourself happy? That's according to Jani.
"So?" Jani started their conversation after sipping her mint tea.
"You're still going to stay here as per my request when in the café, right?" it seemed that Dana wanted to be more confident in Jani's decision.
Dana didn't want it just because he asked for it. He wanted Jani to have the same desire. It's okay, Dana doesn't want to feel guilty about forcing Jani to stay with him.
"Hmm, you even heard my own answer that time right? What do you think?" said Jani then returned to drinking Jani's tea.
"I just thought you wanted to stay because my request burdened you or even because you feel sorry for me," Dana smiled at Jani.
"As long as you know I chose this decision because I wanted to. Even though my family doesn't know that I live with a man who used to be very stranger but now who even listens to my complaints. Sorry I'm annoying when I talk a lot huh?" Jani looked back into Dana's eyes.
Dana smiled. "You're not annoying at all."
Can Dana now make a move to have Jani? Because all Dana knew right now that he meant so much to the girl beside him. Dana was sure Jani was attracted to him. He didn't want to be late realizing that he really fancies to Jani. Even though he doesn't have a feeling called love yet, what's wrong with give it a try? Wise man said, love blooms because we get used to it, right?
Dana was silent for a moment. Thinking about what words are the right words to express what's in his heart.
"Uhmm.. I think I like you," Dana said firmly.
Jani gaped slightly because she wasn't sure what she was hearing. She's like dreaming. She remained silent as she continued to stare at Dana, not blinking without saying a word. Dana knelt in front of Jani. Holding her tiny hand, she smiled.
"Would you like to try make a commitment with me?" Dana asked to confirm.
Jani nodded happily without thinking it might go to either way. What Jani thinks now, what her wish came true. What she thought that it was impossible came true and what she had been hiding for so long slowly released, she didn't want to hold back her feelings anymore.
Only time will tell. Now Jani just wants to enjoy beautiful moments with Dana. The love in her chest was getting bigger and happier. She felt lucky to be with Dana. Hopefully, what she is wish for now in her mind will happen someday. Jani wants to tie the knot with Dana.
