Chapter 32 - 32. Forgetful

''Did something happen at home?'' Lyle asked concerned.

''No. They just want me to come back to meet up with their friends I guess...? Anyway, mom said everyone has to be there.'' Ivy sounded nonchalant as if it really wasn't a big deal and happened all the time.

''So... are you leaving on Friday or...''

''Saturday, after class. I'm not missing it at all cost. I have to get into a nice college so I better not bunk.''

''Oh...'' Though the words spoken wasn't more than a sound, his eyes did seem to be smiling.

'Atleast I can see her on Saturday.'

But then, Saturday came real quick. Lyle had come to see her off but he no longer wanted to. He knew it wouldn't be too long before he would meet her, just a day to be exact but who could tell that to his heart which seemed to be getting heavier at the thought of her leaving.

But what could he do. He couldn't hold her back like he wanted to nor could he go with her. But he really wanted to go with her.

''Bye Lyle.''

''Take care. Don't eat too much that you get bloated.''

''Hmm... Bye bye.''

After sending Ivy, Lyle's phone rang.

''Hello?''

''Lyle, come back quick. We are going to visit a friend.'' His dad said through the phone and there was obvious shuffling noise on the other end.

''Why so suddenly?''

''It wasn't supposed to be so sudden but your mom forgot to tell you because she had some work to attend to. I also just knew it right now.''

''Oh... okay. I'll be home in around ten minutes.'' What could Lyle and his father do. That was how Mrs Wilson was. Always forgetful.

When Lyle reached home, he found a house completely messed up as of a hurricane just swept by.

''Lyle, get your things packed for a day. We will be staying there for the night.'' Mrs Wilson said as she quickly picked up he cup.

''Mom. What do you want the cup for. I think it should be the keys you should be grabbing.'' Lyle said helplessly.

''Oh... right. I came to get the keys. Why am I even picking up this cup. Urg... Thanks darling.''

''Honey, you shouldn't call him darling. You promised not to call another person by that name. You can only call me that.'' Mr Wilson said as he back hugged Mrs Wilson.

''He is my son. Not some random turnip.''

''Our. He is our son.''

''Bleh... Enough of your sweet talks. I'm going to go pack or I'm going to vomit out everything out here.''
