I don't care what my mom said. I didn't believe that Makai had pulled me from the water. He hated me. He had hated me from the first day he got here.
I know that I hadn't been the nicest person to him, but he was trying to steal my girlfriend from me. He did steal the number one spot on the team from me. He was already insanely popular. And, I heard someone say they were nominating him for student body president. He would probably win that and steal it from me too. He was literally taking everything from me. How could I be nice after that?
Still, he had made it clear that he didn't like me the moment he first saw me. He was glaring at me in the classroom. He was constantly glaring at me too. I would catch him glaring at me in class, in the locker room, at the pool, everywhere. He hated me. I could see it in his eyes.
