Isaiah woke up early that morning and went to breakfast as soon as they opened. To his surprise, the one waiting in front of the Cafeteria doors was none other than Lia, still in her Pajamas.
"You're up early," Isaiah said, greeting Lia.
Lia Rubbed her eyes, waving at Isaiah.
"Nice hair scarf." Isaiah pointed out.
Lia was wearing a bright yellow headscarf with some of her locs coming out of it.
"You like it? This is one of my favorite ones." Lia said, touching the headscarf.
"It goes really well with your complexion," Isaiah said as they walked into the Cafeteria.
Isaiah and Lia began to make small talk until Lia started asking how he felt about the mission.
"So, what do you think? Like what do you think about taking on a mission and having to use your powers to hurt someone or something." Lia asked as she took a bite of her food.
"I actually don't mind. We have these powers, and they should be used to help people." Isaiah replied.
"That is not entirely what I'm asking." Lia put her fork down and Moved in closer, locking eyes with Isaiah.
"Are you prepared to kill someone to save another?" Lia asked, eyes unwavering.
"Of course… but only for the right reasons. But even then, death may be too merciful for some." Isaiah said.
Lia was surprised by Isaiah's answer. And decided not to press any further on the topic.
"Well, I hope your first mission goes well for you. Maybe next time, you'll be able to see me in action.Lia." said, getting up from the table.
"Yeah, hopefully, try not to miss me too much." Isaiah winked 😉.
"Shut-up, you ain't all that," Lia said, blushing
"But it is going to suck having you and my best friend gone. The mission shouldn't take too long, though." Lia said
"Best Friend? Who is that ?" Isaiah asked.
"Kat, of course, did you think I was just by myself for the 2 years that I've been here?" Kat said, Leaving out of the cafeteria.
"Of course, the 2 girls that showed the most interest in me are best friends. Now, if I go for either one, it will be a definite no from the other one."
"I had better tread this lightly," Isaiah said, taking a bite of his second plate of food.
…
Isaiah forgot where the teleporter was, so he decided to just wait outside Carly's tiny home until she came out so they could go together.
"Was I supposed to wear my school uniform?" Isaiah says, looking down at himself?
"Either way, I brought extra clothes. Should I apply this stat point that I got from the Daily quest, Isaiah thought.
"It's a good thing that I remember last night before 12, or I could have missed out on free points."
"I'm not sure when I'll be able to complete it next, so I should just do it now," Isaiah says, putting his bag down and starts doing push-ups.
[Daily Quest Choice:]
100- pushup
97/100 completed.
"What are you doing?" Carly said, confused
"Is this some weird way of trying to impress me?"
"No, no, I was just doing my daily workout," Isaiah said, trying not to make eye contact.
"In your school uniform? Why are you in your school uniform? We're going on a mission." Carly questioned.
Isaiah noticed that Carly was wearing a single light skin black suit. It had blue lines that ran through part of the suit. Isaiah guessed that they were charged with power.
Isaiah quickly noticed that Carly has been keeping up with her squats. 🎂
"Damn," Isaiah said, looking at Carly's figure.
Carly quickly noticed Isaiah was reacting to her suit and not what she was saying. Now she was the one trying to avoid eye contact.
"Anyways, let's go. I'm guessing you have no idea where the teleporter is since you're hanging outside my door." Carly asked. Walking in the direction, they're supposed to go.
"Exactly," Isaiah replied. Walking right behind her.
"Not too surprising, the Mission room is under the gymnasium. You need a code to get in. We only really use it to go on missions." Carly said.
"How come? A teleporter would come in pretty handy, I would think. Oh, and nice suit, by the way." Isaiah replied.
"Thank you," Carly said, blushing and covering her mouth.
"What is wrong with me? You already have a guy you like. So why do you keep getting so flustered over this one? Ughh, it's that voice of his he just makes everything sound so smooth and sweet," Carly thought to herself.
"We have another teleporter in the mansion. We just use the one in the Mission room because it is on a secure network." Carly says, trying to remember what he asked.
"Oh, so it basically has a VPN, Nice," Isaiah said, shaking his head as they arrived in the gymnasium.
They head to the side of the bleachers, and Carly presses an invisible button that opens the Elevator.
They both got in and started to go down for 10 stories.
"Am I going to get a suit too?" Isaiah asked.
"I can make you one if you want," Carly said, getting excited
"You can! Oh yeah, you're a nerd, Isaiah said as he laughed."
"Nerd? I see that as a compliment! Carly yelled as she folded her arms.
"I didn't mean it as an insult … I liked comics and anime BEFORE it was cool.
"Before? Anime is still uncool." Carly said as they both laughed as the elevator door opened.
"What are you laughing at?" Kat said, looking from the monitor.
"Woah, this place is like the bat cave," Isaiah said, looking around.
"Oh, so he really is a nerd too," Carly thought to herself after hearing Isaiah.
"Wait, I'm not a nerd. I just like math and stuff."
The mission room was a little bigger than the gymnasium. On the left side of the Elevator were 2 hallways filled with weapons. Isaiah walks over to the wall with the rifles on it.
"Dang, y'all packing some serious heat down here," Isaiah says, pointing to the rifles.
Straight ahead of the elevator was another weapon rack, but it was a field with old-fashioned weapons.
"Why the swords and spears? Even a bow and arrow? Isn't this stuff kind of obsolete now? Isaiah asked.
"You that until."
WHhoos
Kat appears right in front of Isaiah with a sword at his throat.
"You encounter a vampire," Kat said, smiling, showing her fangs and red eyes.
"Good point," Isaiah said, raising his hands.
Kat was wearing what looked like a dark red sports zip-up shirt with black leggings. With a sword sheath attached to her hip. She looked like she was about to go for a mourning run, Isaiah thought.
"Are you wearing your gym clothes Isaiah asked?" Isaiah asked
"Yea, I had Carly enchanted this for me cause I don't like wearing bulky armor like some of the guys wear," Kat said, sheathing her sword.
"I can't believe she can transform into a vampire. I bet she can transform into a dragon if she really wanted a too. How is she not the most powerful in the academy? Isaiah said with a shocked look.
They all walked to the right side of the room, where the teleporter and monitor stood.
"Ugh, you're in the school uniform? Did you bring a change of clothes?" Kat said, shaking her head in disappointment.
"Dude, it's a mission we're going to be fighting and killing things."
"Yea, I brought my gym clothes. I'll put them on real quick." Isaiah said as he opened his inventory and clicked on his gym clothes.
Isaiah instantly switched clothes.
"Alright, now that he doesn't look like a student, let's go," Kat said as they walked through the teleporter.
