As soon as Isaiah got to his room, he threw down his backpack and went to sit on the couch to look at the strange notification that popped up.
"Open system," Isaiah thought
Immediately the system appears.
[Psychic System]
[Stats] [Abilities] [Quests]
[Inventory]
"Open quest." Isaiah thought.
[Quests]
Daily quest choices:
100 pushup
100 setups
2-mile run
Reward: 1 exp point
Life quest: Make The All-Mother your wife.
Reward: All abilities within the system are unlocked.
"What! I have daily quests. I have to pick ugh why." Isaiah says complaining
[ Host things that are not growing or improving are simply dying. The system's job is to bring out the host's best self in terms of combat abilities.
"I didn't actually want an answer,'' Isaiah says, rolling his eyes. 🙄
"So I'm guessing the All-Mother is Lia. What does Lia have to do with my combat abilities?" Isaiah asked
[ The All-Mother is the reason for the system's existence. She is also the key to the planet's survival. So your mission is to protect her and the planet at all costs. And frankly, you like her, and she aligns with your dreams. Which makes you the perfect host for the mission.]
"Yea, yea, I was told that already. Is that important information? Of course, it is. It's the planet we're talking about. Wait! How would you know what my dreams are? Isaiah said suspiciously.
[ The System has completely integrated with the host to learn the host's past and combat potential and future aspirations.]
"That sounds like you, my wife already," Isaiah growled.
"In a weird way, that makes sense. But the whole marriage thing is out of line. I'm 16, I'm not worried about marrying anyone yet heck, I haven't even had a girlfriend."
"This is honestly too much information in one day, and it is only the afternoon.
All this seems way too convent too. I might be trusting when it comes to the system. How do I know that Lia can't see or manipulate the system?"
"She is the one that gave it to me. Could she be the one pulling strings without me knowing?"
" There is just too much that I don't know. Would life be easier if I just decided not to act on any of these things and just focus on the fastest way to my goal of living a comfortable life?"
"No, that not right."
"The greatest triumph of evil is when good men do nothing." Again, Isaiah recalls the words of his father.
"Well, that's enough self-reflection for one day." Isaiah thought.
"Time to focus on the task at hand combat," Isaiah said out loud, smirking.
