Suddenly a multitude of messages began to appear in front of Allan at a very fast speed.
Before he realized it, the messages had disappeared and the scene had changed.
The square where he was standing had disappeared and in its place was a great wall. The wall stretched on both sides, was about fifty feet high, and seemed to have no end. Allan started walking to see where this huge wall ended.
After walking for several minutes, figures began to be observed in the distance. When Allan got a little closer, he realized that what he was seeing was the entrance to the city.
A huge line of people was waiting to enter the city through the huge gate which was guarded by many guards.
Unlike the Tutorial Island guards, these soldiers were better equipped. Low quality leather armor and swords are nowhere to be found, instead the guards are equipped with iron armor and glowing spears.
It is evident that the guards of a city are superior to the guards of a town, at least in equipment.
In other circumstances, Allan would have stood in line and relaxed around the city before going to the city headquarters and completing his mission. However, Allan hadn't slept all night and all he wanted to do was sleep.
As the mission does not have a time limit, there is no need to worry about arriving a handful of days later than expected.
With that mentality Allan disconnected from the game.
...
When Allan returned to his capsule his consciousness returned to his body that was in his small apartment.
He calmly emerged from his capsule to go to bed to relax a bit after yesterday's exhausting night.
Or so he would have liked if it weren't for the heartbreaking images that he witnessed.
In front of him was an ogre staring at him from his bed with murderous eyes while next to him an angry woman served him a tea.
If you concentrated, you could see a doorknob on the tea table and scraps of wood on the floor, but Allan was too distracted to notice such small details.
At that moment Allan's brain knew he was in grave danger, his breath caught momentarily before his heart accelerated, his thoughts increased in speed and he felt the world around him slow down as he tried to make sense of what he was watching and the way out of this crisis.
Only a few seconds passed while both figures silently watched him, after which Allan adopted the procedure by which he thought he would have the best chance of survival.
Allan smiled and said, "Mom! Dad! What a nice surprise! What brings you here? "
His father got up, approached him and ...
BAM
Allan chose wrong.
"HOW ARE WE? YOU WOULD KNOW IF YOU CAME TO VISIT US" Allan's father hit him on the head and started yelling at him.
"W-well, I've been busy with som-"
"Hoo, and what's that so important that you can't even come home?" While he was trying to explain his father what he was doing, a calm voice asked him. Another person might have thought that the person who had just spoken was relaxed but Allan knew that his mother only spoke like this to her when she was angry.
Nothing good happens when his mother is angry.
"M-mother is not like that" as Allan tried to appease her mother a hand came up behind him and grabbed his head.
"So a misunderstanding," his father said from behind him.
"Makes sense. After all we are your parents, something immensely important would have to happen so that a son does not visit his parents "said his father as he pressed harder.
"Imagine our surprise when we came to see you, worried if something had happened to you, only to find you playing video games"
"AH, stop, it hurts, it hurts," Allan said as he tried to get rid of his father's grip.
"I hope that is not your excuse, that you were too busy playing video games to visit your parents, I have not raised a child like that. Right? "
Just when Allan thought he couldn't take any more, a voice rang out.
"One more thing" said his mother.
"We have received a notification that your face-to-face classes are going to be changed to virtual classes. This has nothing to do with the video games you were so busy with. Right? "
At this moment Allan's back was covered in sweat.
...
"That will be it for today"
In one class a teacher had just finished his lesson.
After the teacher left, the students began to get up one by one to go to their next destination.
"Oe Loner!!! Come with me "
Suddenly in the quiet class a voice sounded, the owner of the voice was a boy of 1.70 meters tall and with long hair. Strangely the few people who remained did not seem to mind and left quickly.
All but one. In the small class there was only a short boy around 1.50 meters shaking.
"Didn't you hear me? Come on" said the person who was yelling.
The boy who was left in the class followed him with heavy steps as he clenched his fists since he knew the fate that awaited him.
"Walk faster!" the long-haired boy told him.
Soon they reached a secluded corner where they met two other people very similar to the previous one.
After talking for a while, the three kids started to surround the little boy.
"We haven't seen each other all summer Marti, have you missed us? Asked one of the trio.
Seeing that Marti did not respond, another approached him ...
"Arg"
... and hit him in the middle of the stomach.
"Answer when I speak to you !!!"
Marti now kneeling on the ground got up from the ground little by little while she held her belly and answered with difficulty.
"Y-yes, I have missed you"
"Hahaha! It's true, we've missed you too "
After laughing at Marti one of them said.
"Well, that's fine now. This has only been our reunion, we will have the whole year to catch up. Right Marti? " asked the one who seemed to be the leader.
"R- right"
While the three guys left laughing, Marti was left alone in the corner of the hall watching them go without nobody being able to know what he was thinking.
