After Adams woke up, he got out of bed, took a quick shower, went to the fridge to eat, and then straight into the capsule.
Once Allan entered the game, he appeared directly in front of the library, right where he had left.
The first thing he saw was Carl with a young girl whom he recognized as the receptionist at the inn that Carl recommended.
Carl was the first to notice Alan's arrival. The moment Carl and the girl saw Alan enter the library they headed towards him.
"Hi Alan, let me introduce you, this is Sara, the daughter of the head of the Inn that I recommended to you" said Carl
"Come on, introduce yourself. Don't be rude," Carl admonished Sara
"Ye-YES!! I'm Sara, it's a pleasure to meet you" said the girl, although she seemed a bit nervous.
"Likewise" said Alan
"You see Alan Sara has something to tell you" said Carl while looking at her.
"I am sorry!!"
Sara bowed down and apologize to Alan.
"Lower your tone, we're in a library" Carl reproached her again.
"Ye-Yesssss" Unfortunately when Sara was responding to Carl, she accidentally bit her tongue. It seemed that she wanted to cry as he could see that the tears were leaking from her eyes.
Seeing this, Carl could only breathe a resigned sigh. Sara was still as clumsy as she always has been.
"I have already found out everything. Sara did not know that I had sent someone to the inn. So when the guards came, they arrested everyone in the place without distinction"
Carl sighed again. After that, he raised his head and looked at Alan in the eye.
"I have checked the time when Sara called the guards. At that moment you were in the library with me. I know that everything has been a misunderstanding and that I had no right to treat you as I did, but could you forgive Sara? She did not know anything about all this"
Watching Carl defend the nervous young Sara, Allan smiled and said:
"Of course, while everything is resolved I am fully satisfied"
"Thank you" Hearing Allan's reply, Carl bowed his head and thanked him deeply.
"G-Grandpa !!!" Sara said in dismay, since as long as she could remember Carl had never bowed his head to anyone.
"Grandpa?" Allan asked
"Ahh, I'm not really her grandfather. since she was very young, Sara has always liked to cook, so she used to come to the library to find books to learn all kinds of recipes. I still remember the first time that Sara came to this place. She approached me and told me that she wanted to cook a cake this big to celebrate her mother's birthday. I still remember the punishment that she got for walking alone through the town. She only had 3 years old" Carl said as he laughed while remembering a little girl reaching out to indicate the size of the cake.
"G-Grandpa" Sara said ashamed that Carl had told that story.
Seeing Sara's appearance, Carl and Allan burst out laughing, which only made Sara feel even more embarrassed.
After everyone calmed down, Allan asked:
"So, what's going to happen now?"
"I have already called a guard to take testimony from the three. Once a couple of procedures are resolved you will have a clean record, as if nothing had happened" Carl said.
Hearing this Allan breathed a sigh of relief that there were no more problems, I hope that with this I can finally get rid of those damn titles.
(Except innocent title, that's fine) Allan thought.
Knock Knock
"Ahh, they must be here by now, only the guards knock on the door before entering the library. Come on, we are going to greet them" Carl said as he headed towards the entrance.
"Ye-Yesssssssss!" Just as Sara was heading for the door, she bumped into Allan's leg and fell toward the ground.
Luckily, Allan was there and was able to catch her before she got hurt.
"Are you fin- "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO SARA!!!"
Allan only had time to turn his head and see something glowing in the corner of his vision when...
You are dead
Allan woke up in the capsule of his house, got up puzzled, and wondered if there was something wrong with the machine.
Seeing that everything was fine, he began to recall the events that had just happened a few seconds ago and came to a conclusion.
"The unlucky title also works within the town" said Allan
Normally after death, you have to wait a whole day in real-time before being able to access the game again, however, in Tutorial Island one can return to the game immediately after dying. The goal is to teach players to be more careful before entering the real game world.
Upon re-entering the library, Allan saw Sara and Carl staring at a seemingly uncomfortable guard.
When the guard saw him, he sighed in relief and spoke:
"See? I told you it was fine. Whatever we do, these outsiders don't get a scratch "
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT! You can't go around killing all the people you come across! And what do you mean it's okay? No one will be okay after being stabbed by a sword!" A thunderous voice rang out from Sara. No one would think that such a small person could scream like that.
"In my defense, I will say that I thought he was attacking you!!! Besides, I wasn't going to kill him, you were too close, what would have happened if he had hit you?" The guard who seemed somewhat intimidated by the five-foot-tall girl started to defend himself.
"Is that what you call not wanting to kill him? YOU SPLIT HIM IN HALF!!!" Screamed again Sara.
"It's not my fault he was so weak" said the guard in a low voice, with such bad luck that Sara heard him.
"YOU DARE TO MAKE EXCUSES!!! APOLOGIZE RIGHT NOW!!!"
"Okay, okay" said the exasperated guard.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know what the situation was and I acted without thinking, forgive me" said the guard, but we could all see how little convinced he was of what had happened was because of him.
"TOM" Sara yelled again.
"Well, well, enough is enough. Tom has already apologized and Allan is fine. We can move on to the matter that we are all here for" said Carl when he saw that if he did not intervene the situation would continue indefinitely.
"Yes, yes, the theme of the outsider-"
"Allan" said Sara
"Hnn?"
"His name is Allan" Sara repeated again as she stared at Tom.
"R-Right" replied Tom-
"As I see it, the matter is not complicated, I will ask you some questions and communicate it to my captain. In a couple of days, everything will be resolved"
"A couple of days!!" Allan exclaimed in exasperation.
(I don't know why I had the impression that the bureaucracy here would be faster) thought Allan.
"Sorry, but that's all I can do" said Tom.
Suddenly Carl's voice sounded:
"Hey, Allan?"
"Yes?"
"Do you want to learn how to use the sword, right?" Carl said with a smile.
