"What do you mean? They are rabbits" Allan said, obviously confused.
"Rabbits?" Tom asked
"You mean this bloody rag with holes all over it is a rabbit?"
"Yes?"
Tom and Allan looked at each other for a moment and smiled, a few moments later there was a scream that echoed across the meadow.
"BUT ARE YOU IMBECIL OR WHAT?!!!"
...
"Yes, that's right, now cut through this area"
After Allan was verbally abused for ten minutes, Tom began teaching him how to skin rabbits.
First, you hang the rabbits from a string with an incision in the neck so that they bleed out. After that, you use a knife to remove the skin without cutting the meat.
"How is it possible that you have left them in such a state? Forget about selling them, I would not want those skins as gifts.
Hey! What are you doing? Cut over there, over there" Tom continued admonishing as he watched Allan work.
"Then why am I doing this if I am not going to be able to sell them?" Allan asked as he continued with work.
"Even if they are useless this will do you good next time, besides, it is not that you are doing useless work" said Tom
"Hey? But you just told me that these furs are unsellable" Allan said with obvious confusion on his face.

"Who told you to stop working?" Tom looked at Allan as if he was going to hit him again.
"The meat! The meat! Although the skin is not usable the meat is still edible" Tom began to explain as Allan returned to work.
"The rabbit can be sold more than just for its fur; skin to the tailor, meat to the butcher, and bones to the alchemist"
"Bones?"
"Yes, bones. Some potions include as ingredients not only plants but also certain parts of animals or monsters for their elaboration"
"How is it possible that bones are used in potions?" asked Allan

"Do I look like an alchemist to you? As if I knew why bones are used in potions. I only know that alchemists buy them, if you want to know more, go see an alchemist"
...
After a while, Allan finally finished work and they headed to town. Once they reached the entrance Tom said:
"We part here"
"Eh?" Allan turned his head in surprise and looked at Tom.
"You really believed that what I said before was a joke, you have already learned how to use the sword and you have a way to pay Sara your debt, so my work with you is over. I am free" Tom said while stretching his arms.
"Mm, Tom" Allan began.
"Oe, oe, don't be like that either, it's not that we're not going to see each other again, you can come to visit me at the guard post whenever you want" Tom smiled.
"Mmm Tom"
"Also, if you stay at Sara's inn, I will stop by to see you from time to time, but don't even think about going until you have money to stay there or else my visit will be much less pleasant" said Tom jokingly.
"Where is the alchemist?" Allan finally said.
The air between the two of them froze and Tom's smile slowly faded from his face.
And in that moment Allan knew what he had to do.
Allan ran off into town.
The sound of the guards at the gate trying to hold back their laughter was what woke Tom up, when he realized Allan was not at his side, he saw him disappearing into the crowd.
"DAMN STRANGER, I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!! DID YOU HEAR ME? NEVER!!!"
...
Fortunately, Allan managed to flee in time, he did not want to imagine what would have happened if he had reacted a little slower.
Allan headed towards the butcher, it wasn't difficult since he had passed his shop a couple of times and remembered the way.
Tom had already explained everything to the guards regarding his arrest, so no one in the city would look at him with hostility, even so, that did not make the titles of ex-convict and innocent disappear, they continued on his list, making fun of him.
When he discovered that the titles were still there, he really wanted to cry.
After finding the shop, Allan entered the interior of the store and an intense smell of meat invaded his senses.
"Welcome! Wait a moment" sounded a voice from the inside of the shop.
Allan observed what type of meat was sold in the store, all types of meat adorned the place, wolf, rabbit, wild boar, and all the meats that were seen for sale.
(Luckily there was no goblin meat) Allan thought.
While Allan was waiting, a six-foot-tall man in a stained apron emerged from the back of the store.
"What can I do fo- Uh. A foreigner, huh?" said the man who had an abnormally large knife in his hand.
It is quite easy to recognize players from other people by the NPCs, the players are always armed, they are abnormally beautiful and they always seem out of place compared to others.
All players meet at least one of the three conditions, usually all three.
In small towns like this, it is even easier because everyone knows each other, so one can identify strangers at a glance.
"What do you want?" continued the butcher, as he continued speaking as if nothing happened one could appreciate that his tone had hardened a bit. Evidently, he had not had good experiences with players until now.
"I want to sell meat" Allan said as he looked the butcher straight in the eye.
"Hoo, and what kind of meat do you want to sell me? I do not accept goblin meat, if you think that meat deserves to be sold in my store, I invite you to eat it by yourself "replied the butcher while he balanced his huge knife as if it did not weigh anything.
"Rabbit meat"
"Then show it to me. If I think it's worth it, I'll buy it for you" said the butcher without changing his tone.
Allan pulled out the meat that was in his leaf-wrapped bag.
When he saw the meat well treated, the butcher moved his eyes a little, it seems that the fact that the meat was not exposed surprised him, probably the people who came before brought him the whole rabbit and asked him to prepare it for them.
"Ho, not bad, not bad, you can see the work of a rookie, but at least it is cut" said the butcher.
"I can't offer you much for it, rabbit meat is very common in this area, but I can give you a silver coin for the two rabbits, and that's me being generous" he said after examining them.
In Idle Online there are three types of coins; copper coins, silver coins, and gold coins.
One hundred bronze coins equaled one silver coin, and one hundred silver coins equaled one gold coin.
A slice of bread is worth two bronze coins.
Taking into account the expenses of an average common man, he could survive for a month with ten silver coins, and a family of three with twenty silver coins. Of course, this is only if they live frugally. The meat is definitely more expensive than bread, so considering the poor condition of the meat by Allan's technique, the butcher was offering him a price within what could be considered fair.
If the rabbits had been in good condition Allan could have gotten double for them.
"Okay" Allan said without thinking too much after calculating that the price was not unreasonable.
"Hahaha, very good" said the butcher as he took the meat.
"My name is Alfred but you can call me Fred" said the butcher as he extended his hand.
"Allan"
"Nice doing business with you Allan. Just some advice before you go. Next time you want to sell me meat come early in the morning and walk in the back door, customers don't like to see how I buy meat in the hall" said Fred in a calmer tone than before.
"Sure" Allan said as he left.
At the last moment, Allan turned around and asked Fred:
"Where can I find the alchemist"
Fred's face flipped a bit:
"Why do you want to know about a guy like him?"
