(Clary's Pov)
The next morning, I woke to see Jace sitting at the end of the bed, looking at my sketchbook. The light captured his face, it sat there for a few minutes thinking about last night. I get up and walk in front of Jace grabbing my sketchbook out of his hands. I put my arms around his neck looking into his eyes.
"What are you doing here this early?" I said, leaning in to kiss his cheek.
"I came in here to wake you up, but you looked so peaceful I didn't want to ruin that." He said putting his hands around my waist pulling me closer.
I kissed his cheek one more time than I pulled away walking into the bathroom. I turn on the shower and wait for it to heat up. Once I'm done, I get dressed and put on some basic makeup.
I head downstairs and outside to get in my car. On the way down I passed by Jace and I gave him a wink. I start the car and wait for the others to get in. When we got to school, this random guy opened my door for me. I get out, giving my friends a confused look. When I turn around, he is right in front of me and he starts to speak.
"Hello beautiful." He said flirtatiously, smirking at me. I pushed past him, but he grabbed my wrist to stop me.
"Where are you going?" He said walking in front of me putting his hand on my cheek. I backed up and I turned my head to look at Jace and he was pissed off.
"Anywhere away from you." I spoke. Before I could walk away, he kissed me. I suddenly felt sick as my eyes widened. I pushed him off and kneed him in the groin, which made him fall to his knees in pain. I stumbled as I rushed into the school, tears threatening to pour down my cheeks as I tried to keep it together. I rushed near where the bathrooms were and sat on the floor. The waterworks started to catch up to me as my vision started to blur, that horrible memory suddenly being the only thing that lingered into my mind. Then, my vision went white.
I lay in my bed silently crying just waiting for him to come in. I hear footsteps coming towards my door. I hear my door swing open, and there he is, comes towards me pulling me closer to him. My whole body is shaking, I can hear my heart beating. I start kicking vigorously, I kick him in the stomach and I get up to run, but he pulls me by the hair bringing me back to him. He holds me down while I scream and kick, and he ties me down. He starts to unbutton his pants, pulling them down. He starts to undress me; he kisses down my stomach, making his way into my pants. He unbuttons them and pulls them down along with my underwear. I started screaming, begging him to stop, but there was no use he wouldn't stop. When he started to touch me, I felt so sick that I blacked out. A few hours later I woke up sticky, I felt so gross.
"Hey-hey Clary." Jace said, hugging me.
"Yeah, what's up?" I said, looking up at him.
"Why are you crying, are you okay?" He said, wiping my tears. I wipe my tears away, grabbing his hand to hold it.
"N-Nothing I'm fine." I said, leaning forward to kiss his cheek.
(Jace's Pov)
We get to school and I see this guy flirting with Clary. I start to get pissed off; she is mine. I just sat there watching, he put his hand on her cheek. Come on Clary don't let him do this. She then moves back and tries to walk away, but he grabs her wrist getting in front of her. I then saw him kiss her; I was about to kill him. That was until she pulled away so fast and kneed him in the groin. I was so proud; he fell to the ground in pain. When Clary runs inside, I can't help but realize that she looks upset. I follow her and watch her enter the bathroom. I wait outside waiting for her to come out. What could make her so upset? I'm worried about her. I wait there anxiously waiting to come out. I finally hear the door open and close and I see tears coming out of her eyes.
"Hey-hey, Clary," I said, hugging her.
"Yeah, what's up?" She said looking up at me.
"Why are you crying, are you okay?" I asked, wiping her tears. I wipe my tears away, grabbing his hand to hold it.
"N-Nothing I'm fine." She said, leaning forward to kiss my cheek.
"Are you sure you seemed pretty upset, I'll always be here for you," I asked, moving a strand of hair out of her face. She didn't say anything, just nodded.
"Do you want to tell anybody about us?" I asked. She took a second to think about it.
"I-I think I want to keep it a secret for now." She stuttered. I just nodded.
The rest of the day went by fast, by the time we got home I had tons of homework. By the time I was finished with it, I had a splitting headache. When I was done, I laid on my bed, thinking about how much better my life has gotten since I met Clary. A few hours later I get an alert telling me there's a demon outbreak at pandemonium. I grab my seraph blade and stele and I go downstairs and tell everyone about the mission. After Clary grabs her weapons, we make our way to pandemonium.
As soon as we enter pandemonium, we see some warlock fighting the demons. Clary and I look at each other making our way to the demons. I pick two demons; I finish one of them but have trouble with the other demon. Clary then flips in and stabs the demon in the heart. She turns around giving me a look. I then notice that there is a huge gang of demons behind you.
"CLARY watch out!" I yelled, running towards her piercing one of the demons. Next thing I know I see the rest of the demons go down. I turn around and see the high warlock of Brooklyn standing behind us, with his cat eyes out. We walk towards him.
"Thank you for your help," Clary says. He looks at Clary, like he knows her.
"Clarissa Fairchild, you look just like your mother," Magnus says. I looked at Clary and she was shocked.
"W-Wait, you knew my mother," Clary said, stuttering while tears came out of her eyes.
"Yes, we were very close, how is she?" Magnus asked. Clary's emotion quickly switched from sad to mad.
"Dead, Valentine killed her then took custody of me," Clary said.
"I'm so sorry Clary your mother was a great Shadowhunter," Magnus said, he then turned to look at me. "You must be Jace Herondale, I also knew your parents. I'm sorry you lost." He spoke.
"Don't be that happened a long time ago," I said, remembering the time I watched my father get killed in front of me.
"Anyway, we should go, but thank you for helping us," Clary said. After that, we turned and made our way back to the institute.
