Chapter 9 - Sudden Eye Contact

We were given a whole month holidays before the results. I went back to my hometown as I had some stuff that I left in my house with the plan of packing them at my holidays. So, I took the bus and went  there. I unlocked the door of my house and went inside . I switched the lights on and looked inside. I looked at my room and felt sad as many memories were associated with it and I almost spent 15 years of my life here. The place where my things were used to be ,was empty . I unpacked my luggage because I planned to spend sometime at my house as I wonder if I would be sent on mission , at least, I could see this place last time before leaving . I didn't knew that if I would return or not because it was the war of life and death.

Next morning, I took my bicycle and went to the park near my house where I often used to visit. Unconsciously, when I turned , my eyes were wide opened and the scene seemed unreal . I knew that I was standing but couldn't seem to move . He was standing in front of me and looking in my eyes.

John' s POV

I wasn't able to believe my eyes .It was her. I got hopeless after searching for her everywhere. My wait was over and she was just in front of me. I searched for her at every possible place where I could find her but now she appeared when I could not even imagine . She seemed more weak and tall then the last time, I saw her . Her dressing sense improved more and her hair were short in length then the last time when I saw her. I wanted to tell her everything about my helplessness , how I worked hard to get the position where I am now . How I followed those strict rules against my heart .But when I looked into her eyes I wasn't able to find the Ayan , whom I left , that delicate and clumsy girl . She looked more mature and I felt like she grew in a lady during those years.  I remembered that I was meeting her after two and a half years. I tried to find the love that used to be in her eyes for me but she looked at me like a stranger and looked like she wasn't able to recognize me. I felt stinging pain in my heart through her gaze . I knew that I was wrong ,I should have at least informed her about the situation so that she would not misunderstood me but it was not also in my hand because when I signed the slave contract with the company , I lost all my control on my life and handed the rope of my life in their hands .
