"You Fucking brat!! How dare you kill my little brother!!" The fierce and loathing voice from Mo Fan resounded in the surrounding as it contained his baleful killing intent.
Wang Lei who was standing not far from Mo Fan felt the change in the surrounding and gasped in surprise.
A moment later, Mo Fan unleased his fifth level Spirit Apprentice cultivation base and ignited his Spirit energy as he dashed, disappearing from his current location.
Wang Lei was still shocked from the events earlier and also the sudden killing intent released by Mo Fan, so he was in a disarray and before he noticed it, Mo Fan had already disappeared from where he was standing and when he saw the direction he was heading, he realized his intention and hurriedly spoke, "Shenyan!! Watch out!!"
However, Shenyan was still shocked from a moment ago when he realized that a casual punch from him ended up killing one of the bandits, so he ignored the screaming voice of the bandit Leader, but a few moments after, a different but familiar voice resounded in his ears and when he noticed that it belonged to Wang Lei, he looked up only to see Mo Fan in front of him, his sword a couple inches away from reaching his face.
When Shenyan saw this, his mind suddenly went blank for a moment. It was at this moment unbeknownst to Shenyan and everyone else, his eyes flickered with golden light releasing a mysterious energy that surrounded Shenyan and Mo Fan's figure and when Shenyan came to, he was already in a strange place filled with darkness, but strangely enough, he can still see.
"What is this place?" Shenyan mumbled to himself.
Shenyan turned his head up and it was then that he noticed the frozen figure of Mo Fan in the air with his sword in his hand as he aimed at his head trying to decapitate him. Shenyan felt a chill down his spine as he broke into cold sweat.
He then pondered for a moment what this strange place was, but soon gave up thinking about this matter as there is no one to ask about this kind of thing anyway and he focused his attention on Mo Fan wondering whether he can attack him in his frozen state. He thought for a moment before he decided to give it a try as this might be his only chance at surviving this crisis.
Shenyan mustered all his strength into his right hand as he aimed his punch at the location where Wang Lei attacked Mo Fan before— the chest.
"Boom!!"
The next moment, Shenyan felt his vision blur the moment he landed his attack at Mo Fan's chest with all his strength hoping to kill him.
When Shenyan came to, he saw the flying figure of Mo Fan who had a clear look of disbelief on his face as he had no idea what had happened just now.
The moment he thought he had succeeded in killing the brat, suddenly his vision blurred and the next moment he was sent flying with his already crushed chest crushed further from the sudden attack that came out of nowhere.
"Arghhh!!"
"Boom!!"
Mo Fan felt that his lungs punctured from the impact of the attack and his heart also got crushed by his ribs as he felt immense pain all over his body. Mo Fan felt his vision darkening as he was smashed into a nearby tree.
The feeling of resentment and indignant towards death washed over him as he gave the brat who did this to him— Shenyan, one last look before he said, "W-Who t-the h-hell are you?"
With these last words his voice turned silent as he breathed his last.
Shenyan watched this scene with a solemn look on his face, before thinking to himself that if he had not killed him, he would have been the one lying there just now.
Although, Shenyan always maintained a calm expression no matter the situation, it does not mean that he was a ruthless person who would kill people without feeling anything, in fact, the moment he killed Mo Hei, he was shocked and felt a strange feeling in his heart after realizing that he had killed someone accidentally.
As for the others, they were only unconscious after they received his attack so he did not expect that Mo Hei would suddenly die from his casual punch.
After thinking for a while, Shenyan turned and looked at Wang Lei, who was standing in the distance looking at Shenyan with a face of shock, disbelief and relief.
After a few moments of silence, Wang Lei suddenly spoke, "S-Shenyan, I had no idea, that you were this strong." He said before continuing, "You don't have to worry about their deaths as they were the ones who attacked us first—we were only defending ourselves."
Wang Lei said trying to assure Shenyan that he does not have to feel guilty about the outcome of this situation.
"…"
A moment of silence later, Shenyan nodded his head without saying anything and he proceeded to walk towards the old coachman's side and Wang Lei decided to finish off the other unconscious bandits before they proceeded to head back.
It was at this moment that a loud scream resounded—
Ahhhh!
It was Shenyan's voice. As soon as he bent over trying to pick up the old coachman, he felt all his muscles aching with pain almost like they were at their limit after the previous fight just now.
Wang Lei was shocked by this, and he hurriedly asked, "What's wrong?! Are you hurt?!"
But he did not hear a response as Shenyan continued to scream in pain; wailing around for a few minutes before suddenly calming down and saying, "I-I'm hungry."
He said in a slightly hoarse voice. Hearing this, Wang Lei's mouth twitch from his sudden response. He had thought that Shenyan was hurt from the attack just now but who would have thought that he was not hurt and instead he was just hungry.
Thinking about this, Wang Lei couldn't help but shake his head helplessly before helping Shenyan get up and he decided to carry the old coachman instead of Shenyan and they proceeded to head to their carriage to see if they still had some food left in their storage pouch— although it was a low quality storage pouch and it could only store a few miscellaneous things inside, but it was still enough to carry the food they would need for their journey.
But before they left, Wang Lei suddenly thought of something and decided to head back after putting the old coachman down. He went and dug a hole in the ground using his punch and later place the bodies of the bandits inside before covering them with soil.
Although they were bandits, they were still humans, so Wang Lei thought that they at least deserve this much. After looking at the grave for a while with a solemn look on his face, Wang Lei turned around and left with Shenyan as they headed to the location of their carriage.
