Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7: The door to Extreme Chaos

I could finally feel what being invisible meant, we left a mob of undead corpse littering everywhere, time was precious to us or the rescue team might depart, we just crippled the undead and rushed ahead.

The glass door glitterd with many colours that radiated from the light outside, it looked like a door way to freedom. Away from this place where we had to fight every second with our lives on the line.

The group beamed with gleaming smiles, the only thing we all wanted was to leave this cursed school.

I forced open the door.

The sun shone brightly in the beautiful blue skies but the atmosphere was horrific, blood curdling screams of women, men and children who where fleeing from the undead was too much to bear.

Those with weapons tried to fight back but it all ended in misery.

The air was filled with smoke from burning buildings and cars who seemed to have caught fire. The world was flipped upside-down to the chaotic side.

"So much chaos in the city, I hope my mom is safe." Ace muttered

"We all have families, but i'm sure they are all doing the same thing as us."

We proceeded climbing down the stairs only to be greeted by our fellow enemies.

"Should I throw a bomb."

"That will attract many of them but we don't have choice".

The bomb threw by Layla killed three undead and crippled two, we didn't bother putting them out of their misery as we shoved them to the side.

After our descent from the stairs, we needed to go all the way around the school in order to reach the parking area.

"Freya how long do we have to reach Clinbay in time."

"Huh, let me check. We have about 45 minutes left."

There was still a little more time, we immediately made a haste to reach the left corner of the building and the car park was roughly about three hundred metres away.

The undead wondered everywhere, the path to the car park was blocked by horde of them.

"Layla! Throw as many as you can to clear the path ahead."

Layla threw two bombs which manage to clear a path killing five undead at the same time Isla burned the undead which tried to attack us from the side, the flame didn't instantly kill them, it took time and also managed to make it hard for them to sense us. The undead ended up going to the wrong direction while burning.

We didn't stop our massacre as we continued marching forward, Ace and I used our wooden swords to make a way from the undead which approached infront, Dexter and Freya watched our back while the two guys and isla watched our sides.

I panted! My shirt drenched in sweat, I felt like my arms could give up on me any second.

swing after swing they kept coming, the bombs cleared the path and at the same time attracted more. I gasped for air as if they was no tomorrow, I looked on my right side and I could see Ace facing the same fate.

An agonising scream echoed behind, turning my head to locate where it came from I saw Fraya screaming while the undead grabbed her by the leg.

Dexter tried to pull her hand but two more undead neared, the other one grabbed her neck and bite her.

She let out another painful scream as her hand slipped from Dexter and she was lost in the horde of the undead.

"Freya!!!!"

Isla scremed but it was too late, the undead started devouring her.

Her screams echoed in the whole school,

everyone looked shaken from what just happened.

Another loud scream occurred as one of the two boys was caught and instantly bitten on the neck.

The group was now falling apart.

My heart convulsed as the thought of everyone dying like this crossed my mind.

They where all terrified for their lives and the hope of survival was slowly dying out.

"Everyone! focus, the enemy is ahead don't loose composure, or all this might have been for nothing, her death won't be in vain!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I snatched their attention as they started to calm and Layla immediately threw bomb after bomb, we rampaged every undead until we finally reached the parking slot.

We all rushed to Isla's small porsche.

Sigh."Are we all going to fit in there."

"We will get another car and follow you, I can start some cars without a key."

We eyed Dexter suspiciously. Isla's car was rather fancy and comfortable, as expected from a kid descending from the rich. Isla, Layla and the blond girl from before were in the porsche while the rest rode with Dexter.

The road was blocked with a lot of traffic so we took the longer route, many people pleaded for a ride along the road but we didn't stop for anyone.

We ain't heartless... The world is.

"Stop here!"

"Why?"

"This is my neighbourhood, I'm going to check my sister."

"I will also like to look for my mom." Layla spoke with worry.

We lived in a low density area, it was a quiet place with not much people, my parents loved to lived a secluded life.

The streets were empty with a few undead, we did not bother with them.

I hurried towards my house, a huge two story house painted white and grey, with wide windows, a medium sized glass door which was blurried, the yard was small and the lawn outstretched everywhere on the ground.

My sister didn't attend school because she woke up with fever, I insisted that she should stay home.

The door was locked, after I knocked countless times no one answered.

Her room was upstairs, so I swiftly ran to the back of the house and yelled her name. I saw someone peek in the curtain before immediately vanishing out of my sight.

I rushed back.

The front door opened wide showing a stunningly beautiful red head with hazel blue eyes and pale pink skin. Her figure was very alluring to the eye, Alice body possessed uniquely wonderful qualities.

She hugged me tightly while sobbing.

"I'm so glad you are okay, I knew you would came for me."

I hugged her back.
