A black haird girl kept pacing around in a cave wearing a worried expression, the other girl with red hair was laying on a blanket staring at the roof with a calm face.
"It's been two hours and he hasn't came back!" Layla yelled.
"I'm sure he's fine, stop worrying." Alice replied.
"He doesn't have powers like us Alice, it's not safe out there what if he is in danger or even worse, let's go and look for him now!"
She spoke with a voice slightly breaking down along with sultry eyes.
Alice noticed Layla's emotions, she got up and walked towards her.
"I'm sure Kean is fine. He probably felt like taking a walk he would be back soon. We all know he's sly as a fox, just have some faith in him."
Alice comforted Layla while gently squeezing her shoulder.
"I guess I got a little paranoid thinking that something bad might have happened." She rubbed her teary eyes.
"If he still hasn't came back after late noon we will look for him."
Layla nodded.
"And stop being a crybaby." Alice sneered
"I'm not a crybaby! It's just that I–I—I I'm so worried."
"I know how we can do something useful while distracting ourselves."
"What do you have in mind?"
"I think we should be practicing, in order to get the hang of our powers."
"It's not a bad idea but I don't think right now I can."
"Don't you want to get stronger so you can protect Kean."
"Of course, I want to use my ability to the outmost potential." She spoke with determination as she curled her fist.
Alice smirked and used telekinesis to lift small rocks near her.
"Let's see how many you can dodge."
"Huh? Wait! Alice! what if you actually hit me, this is not the sort of training I wanted!"
A small stone flew near her ear.
"Ahhhhhh! Alice stop!"
"If you don't dogde I might actually hit you."
She paused as if she was thinking. "But since you have healing magic it doesn't matter if I hit you right?"
Alice rambled while taping her cheek with her index finger.
Layla flinched and cursed as more stones flew towards her.
After taking a thirty minute nap I went to the Magic stones and teleported back.
I walked inside the cave, Layla was laying on the ground helpless, breathing heavily as if she ran for kilometres.
"You are back!"
"What are you wearing, you look like an assassin." Alice stared curiously while approaching me.
"It's a long story."
Layla glanced to my direction, flinching in pain.
"Your sister is evil, I feel dizzy, my body hurt, I can't even walk anymore."
"Alice! what did you do?"
She flinched at my authoritative voice.
"We agreed to train using our abilities while waiting for you, I didn't even go that hard on her."
"It wasn't even training, she kept harassing me for hours." Layla whimpered.
"Alice!"
"Okay okay fine, I might have gone over excited a little bit and went a bit far, I'm sorry."
"As if you are. Where have you been anyway, do you know how worried we were." Layla spoke while getting up.
"It's a long story, I will tell you everything."
Both girls sat infront of me brimming with curiosity.
"Well first, I finally awakened magic."
Their eyes widened in excitement.
"I bet it's super strength." Layla spoke with entusiasm.
"Nop, lightning is very cool. you awakened lightning right?" Alice questioned.
"It's a bit complicated actually."
I started with my abilities, explaining everything about that I can use both fire and lighting, they thought I was messing with them until I made one hand burn while the other emitted sparks the girls stared at me like I'm some kind of alien. listing all the events that happened in the morning and the dimension part. I told them everything except for the system part. I will leave that for another day until I can fully understand it myself.
"I still can't get the fact that you awakened two elemental abilities, I mean how." Alice mouth hang open.
"That's nothing compared to the fact that he actually travelled to another dimension, and fought Dra- whatever those skeletons where." Layla scratched her head
"I actually need some time for my brain to process all this crazy stuff I'm hearing."
Alice and Layla kept throwing questions at me for minutes until they felt satisfied and left.
"Hey host you might want to hear this."
"What's up."
"Alice's presence, the energy radiating from her is different somehow it's almost familiar."
"You think she might be...."
"No definitely not, but they are chances that she might be related to Aeverie somehow."
My gaze fixed on Alice with puzzlement.
"I have lived with her for as long as I can remember, I still don't understand how she could be connected to Aeverie."
"By now you should have known that the world is filled with endless mysteries."
"Come to think of it, she has acted unusual. She once changed personality, talking like she was someone else. Yesterday she led us into this forest, the way she talked it was like something was calling for her."
"If that's the case, without a doubt I think she might be connected to her."
"I should try talking to her about it."
Ambling towards Alice I sat next to her.
"Can I ask something?"
She started at me in confusion before answering.
"Huh? go ahead."
"The feeling that made you want to come here, is it still there."
"I'm really trying hard to ignore it, we almost got killed because I followed my instinct telling me to go somewhere I don't even know."
"It's not your fault. Things will be totally different now that we can actually fight and protect ourselves. What if it's important, do you really think something will be telling you to go somewhere just for nothing."
Alice's eyes looked up like she was thinking before turning to me with a knowing look.
"What are you suggesting?"
I smiled. "It's time to find out the thing that wants to be found."
Sighing. "Fine we can't stay here any longer anyway."
