Chapter 24 - CHAPTER 24 : Unsealing Aeverie

The Water continously hitting my feet from time to time, distant birds chirping, and the unsettling sand I was lying on also pulled me back from whatever slumber I was in.

Slowly opening my hazy eyes I blinked owlishly.

Oh right, that's what happened, we fell from the waterfall and the water dragged us to the coast.

I lifted my body to get up, my head was throbbing. Ignoring the pain I turned my head in search of the person who was holding my hand.

My hand stretched to try and reach for her face, Alice's eyes shot wide and at the same time she grabbed my hand.

I asked if she was okay, taking her smile as a yes I helped her stand and hastily rushed to Layla.

I tried to wake her up but she wasn't responding. Her heart beat was very shallow, and she wasn't breathing.

My lips touched her's as I initiated mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, I continued doing CPR. as I was doing chest compressions she instantly started coughing water uncontrollable.

I helped her sit up.

Seeing that she was alive made my heart dance in bliss.

"So what now?" I asked walking towards Alice.

"This is the place." Alice calmly addressed.

"You mean this place?" I turned around gazing at the river and thick green bushes.

"Take my hand, you can't see the gate but I can."

Layla lumbered to Alice's side and grabbed her hand, I also did the same.

The three of us walked hand in hand, my mind was racing with curiosity every step we took.

Brilliant White light suddenly enveloped us, in the next moment we where entirely in a different place.

It was like we where in space, surrounded by stars that glitterd everywhere, but different because there was a huge magical door few feets away from us and we where standing in what seemed like glass floor.

"Wow! did we teleport to space." Layla proclaimed in amazement as her eyes lingered everywhere.

'This is probably a space built by Aeverie.' As that thought emerged my assumptions where answered correct by the system.

I proceeded to the door, a small screen on the door appeard, It contained some sort of letters written in a strange language I have never came across with.

Alice ran her fingers at the mystical door. "I don't think I know the key combination to open this door."

I gently squeezed her shoulder. "This place has some sort of connection with you, I'm sure you can figure out a way to open it."

She sighed dejectedly. "I wish it where that easily. The language looks familiar but I can't recall where I have seen it and what it means."

I stared at the door in deep thought.

'How can I figure out the password if I can't even understand the language it's self.'

"I can translate the language for you." The system blurted.

'That's great, start translating now.'

I started typing the letters in the door, I wrote Aeverie as she translated the letters for me.

'If her name isn't the passcode I don't know anything else that will be.'

We all waited anxiously for something to happen.

The door gleamed as it opened, or should I just say it started fading into small glittering particles.

"How did you now the password?"

"That was a lucky guess."

"Do you really expect me to believe that."

"It's time to explore." I intentionally changed the subject.

She sighed and followed behind, when I was wondering around something familiar came into view.

A huge cube floated in the air and someone seemed to be trapped inside.

My heart jerked as the realisation stroke. If these is exactly like my dream does that mean?

They is only one way to find out.

"I was not expecting something like this."

Layla bug eyed at the cube while overflowing with curiosity.

Alice slowly reached out for the cube, the moment her hand touched the cube, some kind of light emitted from her heart to the cube.

The cube instantly glowed purple with a strong intensity, the cube continued to drain energy from Alice. Her skin started to changing to milky white.

I tried to reach for her but some telekinetic energy pushed me back.

The blinding rays of light continued to emit from her heart to the cube.

The purple cube shuttered revealing a girl who seemed naked as she was out of the cube, but her long hair rapped all her private parts, she had two toned hair colour. Silver which dominated most of her hair and red at the ends.

Layla gasped as she stared at the girl who I'm guessing was Aeverie. She looked exactly like Alice but a lot more different to be precise.

besides the hair she had pointed ears like an elf, a lot more taller and very alluring body, charming to say. I could swear she was a goddess of beauty, even Layla seemed to be stunned by her.

I got up rushing to them, the silver head girl was laying on the floor, Alice fainted at the process.

As I held her in my arms I could feel that she was dying.

I felt like my heart was getting stabbed over and over, my emotions where twisted.

"Alice! wake up!." I screamed while holding her.

Layla tried using her healing magic on her but it wasn't working, her body was burning and her heart beat was slowing down.

"Is there any way to save her?" I asked the system in a broken voice.

"I'm afraid they is no possible way I can think of." As I heard the system reply I felt my heart freeze.

Aeverie finally blinked and got up.

I shifted my angry gaze towards her.

"What have you done!"

She gently smiled. "Don't be angry, I'm here."

"What the heck are you talking about. You may look like Alice but you can't tell me that crap! Now save my sister please!" I shouted as rage and fear of losing Alice filled my heart.

"I know you must be confused, but I will explain everything. Alice isn't human, I made her to protect you and for this sole purpose, that is to unseal me in the cube so I can tell you about your origin and give you my power. I want you to know who your true parents are and everything you need to know."
