Me and Layla shouted in sync.
"Yes in my world a crystal stone called Glantine was discovered, it improved the magic system, this crystal orb could be used as a magic source. The orb emit magic non stop, it made cloning a person possible and the orb could be used as a heart for the clone. It was also the only thing that can break the seal from outside as I will be unable to do it."
Every word she said made me tremble as I stared at Alice, my only family.
"What are you saying." I inquired in a harsh voice.
"Please trust me, I will tell you everything from the start so you can understand everything that's going on here."
'Is she telling the truth.'
"Yes, I can sense that she is not lying, remember the events that took place. When she changed personality, it had something to do with this and I did tell you that she has the same presence as Aeverie. Aeverie did clone herself. "
I guess I will have to believe her.
"All my life I was living a lie, having a sister that didn't exist." I lamented.
Her body turned into small particles that vanished entering Aeverie's body.
I was left hanging.
"I'm sorry it seems the crystal orb was destroyed the moment she unsealed me, they was nothing I could do."
"Sh- she- she's gone." My heart sank.
Layla held my hand.
"It's okay, everything will be fine." She spoke in a soft voice.
"Don't grieve for something that's not gone, I may look a little different but this is my real body, the real Alice."
"Alice, is that even your real name."
She shook her head. "No I'm Aeverie."
"I'm ready to listen to what you have to say."
Two chairs appeard out of no where, a long stunningly purple dress materialised in her body.
"You see I come from another world, which is different from this one in a lot of ways. The world I came from is called Macrin we coexist with all races, beasts, supernatural creatures and many myths which doesn't exist in your world.
Magic is very common. I grew up with Esther your mother, she was a human, unlike me an elf but she cared for me very much, Esther treated me more like a sister than just her friend.
Although she was six years older than me, she and I played together and trained day and night just the two of us, even though we where just kids. Your mother's family served an Empire called the Valgride. When Esther was sixteen she joined the army, I also followed her in the Valgride army when I was old enough.
We fought side by side and we where recognised as the best mages but Esther out stood me in everything she did. I wanted to be just like her, but a year after, I left the army in search of something important.
I spent two years without hearing from her as I was far away from Valgride Empire, but I did hear that she got promoted as her rank rose and was now the leader of the army, her name was known across all kingdoms. In that year Valgride Empire started a war with Kierith Kingdom.
Valgride had way more strength than Kierith, It's army numbers was far greater and also had many mages than any other kingdom. The weapons and armor they used was beyond advancement, but they still failed to defeat Kierith Kindom.
Kierith's army was weak but one person made everything seem possible, he made miracles become reality. Everyone trembled when they heard his name. He managed to slaughter hundreds of men alone. He was called Lloyd but on the battlefield he was known as the Dragon's Wrath.
I don't know much about him but the rumours said he had some sort of dragon abilities, and also he caried a deadly weapon that can only be held by him. It was called the dragon blade, it's presence alone was quite overwhelming.
He was the sole reason why the Valgride failed to conquer Kierith. As the war continued I heard some unexpected news, Esther and Lloyd secretly got married, no one knew about this even their families. I'm sure if they knew they wouldn't allow them to even see each other. The war ended in a stalemate, a year after when I was in my hideout Esther sent me a message that she needed my help."
"Wait, you said hideout, what where you hiding from?"
"That is a story for another time, anyway when I got there I was appalled to hear that Esther had recently given birth to a boy, on that same day I also got to know that Valgride found out that the child's father belonged to Kierith kingdom, they didn't even hesitate to send assassins to get rid of the child because they saw it as a disgrace."
Me and Layla both gasped in shock.
"Think about how ruthless this people where, to even think of harming an innocent defenceless baby over power. Lloyd didn't know that he had given birth, the person who was protecting her from the assassins was Fodel Altard. He was a sword man, a legend in the Kingdom. He was close with Esther's family that's why he rebelled to protect her. While we were in our hideout the Valgride discovered us and a huge battle took place.
We fought the soldiers and escaped in the woods, they was a bounty on us, even guild members where after us because of the huge amount of money promised. We fought day and night and unfortunately Esther didn't make it, she was killed while protecting you."
A tear dripped from my eye when her story reached to my mother's death, as always Layla was already comforting me.
"A Legendary Swordman and one of the highest ranked mage, we where the perfect duo. We fought hundreds of men but still the numbers were infinite, they was no guarantee for our survival. There was a spell that I recently discovered, know one knew it even existed, I myself briefly knew about it, and that it can send me to another dimension. We where surrounded by thousands of soldiers, guild members, assassins, everyone from low to highest rank. We could have fought them and fleed, but Earlier I fought a divine spirit and it placed a curse on me that can only be reversed by a person who awakened Light element. It kept draining my mana along with my life force so I had no choice but to try out the new spell.
A circle appeard, We both walked through it and the next thing we where in your world. The curse was eventually going to kill me within two days so I created a clone and altered her memories so that she sees you as her brother and her only purpose is to protect you no matter what, and when the right time comes she was supposed to find me like she did so you can inherite my powers when I die.
I know your curious gazes, to answer your question, when inside the Infinix cube you don't age, spreading diseases or curses stop, everything in your body is frozen. The Infinix cube literally stops time once you are sealed inside it. I have been sealed for 17 years and as you can see I'm still like the day I sealed myself inside, and sadly the curse has continued where it left. I guess that's all that I wanted to tell you."
After experiencing many different kinds of emotions, when she finally finished speaking I just sat there waiting for everything to sink in, I didn't know what to say or how to react at the moment. I was overwhelmed by everything she said.
"I need some time to be alone if you don't mind." I instantly stood up and walked away from them.
