Chapter 11 - CHAPTER 11: THE CONVERSATION

(ROSIE'S POV)

I was blushing after the call ended. I felt different with this guy even with my body getting seriously ill. I felt lightened a little after the call but my temperature was still running. I was planning on placing a call to my mum about my health when Jerry objected he's coming to see me tomorrow. Thanks to God for Maro that has always been there.

I have already informed Maro about Jerry. He said to me that "I'm in Love with this guy," though I was trying to deny that fact but he caught me blushing. I couldn't help myself but smile back at him in confirmation. With me reminiscent of the call I had tonight I slept peacefully like a baby.

The morning dew was cooling the environment and here comes the birds to be greeted by a choir of flinches and robins who sit in the tree outside my window and serenade me soft and sweetly as usual but this time around, it was disturbed by the neighborhood being noisy.

I felt lightened but still having running temperature, the neighborhood was becoming a nuisance to me that I tucked myself in the duvet but it didn't lessened a bit. then I took the decision to go and see wants going on but the moment I got to the escutcheon, I felt pain on my joints that I have to fall back to the bed and tucked myself in without locking up the escutcheon then, I was contemplating on what to do when I heard a knock at the door.

*rat-a-tata!*

*rat-a-tata!*

who could that be this early as I thought within. who's there's? I questioned without confirmation within on who the person was but then the response came in.

it's me Maro! oh Maro ...! I exhaled in relaxation. please do come in, I said to usher him in.

Rosie! why is your door not locked as he asked in curiosity. the noise from the neighborhood was not comfy at all...so I went to confirmed what the noise was all about but after opening the escutcheon, I couldn't move an inch further because of the pain I felt in my joints.

Rosie, the noise was from those final year students that just passed out. They are hosting a party today in the evening and we all are invited. It's okay! Maro....I just couldn't sleep fine with the noise. it was becoming a nuisance to me.

Never mind that, soon you will become one as he said in encouragement. But Rosie! you have to put through to your mum now. You have two more papers to write and you can't be sick. You need a good treatment because health is life!

I know that Maro, Jerry called last night and he told me to hold on for a while that he's coming today. is it the one you told me about that you met in that classroom? Yes Maro! and have you forgotten so soon already?

No! Rosie! The guy seems different and genuine from others, am I right about that? Yes! you are right Maro. I am so comfy with him and we talked to each other like we've known for long. we are just so connected Maro! and to top it all, he's from your local government area.

wao....! That's means he's my brother then! and besides, Isoko men are good you know and we can take good care of our lady too. we don't joke with that aspects. I hope he's has a good place in his heart that you can call a home.

Exactly! Maro. that's all I ever wanted because when you don't have the right partner, it's like hell on earth. I don't want to fall a victim of the wrong man and that's the main reason for my abstinence all these years, despite that, I can't endeavour to make mistakes now.

You won't Rosie! as he said in encouragement. so for now, I have to get you hot water to bath with and prepare you breakfast so that you can have something in your tummy.

Thanks Maro! you're the best of all.
