Kal stared at Dante's left leg smiling. When Dante checked what Kal was grinning at, he looked at his left leg and was dumbstruck to what he saw.
"H-how?" Dante stuttered in his words. He was surprised to find out that the cloth of the torso in his left ankle has been torn a bit showing his skin that revealed a red mark. Although it didn't left a scratch, the red mark was a sign that something had hit it.
'I definitely blocked all of his attacks but where did this mark came from? No way, was it..' Dante then scanned Kal who was still lying in the ground and when he check his belt, the scabbard for his knife was empty. He checked at where the knife had gone to and he went back to the position he was standing. There he saw the knife stuck in the ground with some cloth from his torso stuck between the dull blade of the weapon.
'While he was airborne, the reason he purposely aimed all his attack to my upper body so that I would lower my defense in my lower body since he knew from the first attempts he made that all his low aimed attacks didn't work. While I was busy blocking my attack, he used the bulk fires of arrows to hind my sight and laid a sneak attack in which I wouldn't realize! Not only is he able to do two different roles but by using the different traits of the roles, he is able to use it to mix the traits to his advantage! Just learning two different types of roles that doesn't connect to each other is already great, mastering it would be considered undoubtedly amazing but to be able to do the two things at the same time is astonishing! This kid's monstrous talent is scary! If I can polish his techniques, I could probably raise a legend in the making! Just thinking about it makes me shiver!' Dante exclaimed in thought staring at Kal. He grinned back at Kal realizing that he had been planned out from the start. He then proceed to lift Kal up and carry him to his shoulders.
"I admit my defeat, what you did was something that should be praised. That was supposed to be an impossible test and I was just trying to get you to join so I can examine your skills by putting stakes but since you win, you get to choose a martial skill and since you have also exceeded my expectations, I'll grant you an equipment of your choosing." Dante said with a light tone as they walked out of the room.
"Thanks..." Kal replied with a grin. He suddenly fell unconscious so Dante had to immediately carry him to a nearby treating facility.

Kal woke up the next day. As he opened his eyes, he was lying on the bed of his apartment, beside him was Dontrelle. He was playing with his phone and when he saw Kal waking up, he retrieve his phone on his pocket and greeted him.
"You've been asleep for a day, you seemed really drained after defeating Dante in a bet when I couldn't even win against him in any challenge." Dontrelle said as he played it out as a joke but Kal was more of in shock seeing Dontrelle sitting beside him.
"Brother Dontrelle?! How are you here!? Your sister?" Kal exclaimed in shock after seeing Dontrelle. He scanned around his surroundings to check if there were eyes watching around him so Dontrelle patted his back to assure him.
"It's fine, my sister was assigned in an expedition along with all of his subordinates so she won't be coming back for a few weeks." Dontrelle replied.
"So does that mean we can hang out?" Kal asked with a smile in his face.
"Yeah, but we still need to be vigilante, there might still be eyes around." Dontrelle replied as he stood up from his seat. They left and went straight to the Shelter Hall where Dante was waiting for them. He gestured to his hand to greet them and both shake hands in response.
"Your awake now Kal, it was my fault for making you go all out with your reawaken ed body when you should have been resting. Are you okay now?" Dante asked with a worried look.
"I'm fine now, by the way, what with that suitcase?" Kal asked staring at the suitcase in Dante's hand.
"Oh this? Here." Dante gave the suitcase to Kal.
"This is for me?" Kal replied in confusion.
"Didn't you forget? You won against teacher so this is the rewards." Dontrelle said chuckling. Kal in excitement immediately opened the suitcase and inside was a purple book and a dagger.
"From what I have observed from our last fight, the martial arts you learned is "The way of a marksman". In such a young age, you were able to master a very complex martial art that could onky be mastered by a decade of experience and training. The martial skill I gave you is "Composite Fire", it's a martial skill that let's you fire 2 arrows at the same time. I would've love to give you a spell scroll but you need to be a D-rank for you to be able to control your mana." Dante said. Kal opened the book and a window panel appeared in his view.

"It's okay, I'm happy about this skill and thank you very much!" Kal bowed down to Dante in gratitude.
"You deserve that. Oh and this dagger, Dontrelle personally choose this so think of it as a gift from him." Dante said as giving the dagger to Kal.
"You bought this for me?" Kal asked with a teary eyed to Dontrelle.
"I bought it when I heard that you won against teacher. It might not be any use for you since you are better at using a bow and arrow. Ah! I should've bought you a bow not a dagger!" Dontrelle exclaimed realizing that Kal was more suitable in being a marksman.

"Thank you brother! I had never been given a gift from a friend and I'll be sure to use it!" Kal had tears fall from his eyes in response to his joy as he tightly hugged Dontrelle.
"Your....welcome.." Dontrelle couldn't muster the words he wanted to say due to the sudden affection towards him so he just slowly pat Kal's back.
'This is the first time someone has given me this much affection and it's from my friend! I'll be sure to treat him better!' Dontrelle said to himself.

The three of them entered Dante's office as they had a nice talk. Dante explained to Dontrelle what had occurred days ago regarding his sister and he was happy to learn that everything has been cleared out.
"Kal, the reason you are here is because 2 months from now, Dontrelle will undergo his reawakening and that time he'll become a D-rank. After reaching D-rank, he will have to enroll in a Hunter's academy so he can classify his role and get a hunter's card. In that 2 months, I want you to assist Dontrelle in every hunt he'll do." Dante said to Kal.
"He had already given me a contract so it's nothing to be worried for." Kal replied.
"Huh? Dontrelle gave you a contract? Dontrelle why didn't you told me about this!?" Dante exclaimed as he looked at Dontrelle.
"You said that I should do everything to someone who would help me! And cherish that person as a brother!" Dontrelle exclaimed in response.
"This is not what I meant! You can't force someone to be your friend by putting them in a contract!" Dante spoke out. They began arguing about the contract so Kal tried to explain but suddenly, a person burst out of the door panicking.
"Shelter master! A dungeon has been discovered in the northern edge of our sanctum!" The person exclaimed. They were stunned hearing the news and immediately stood up from their seats including Kal. A discovery of a dungeon was a big deal. A dungeon is a labyrinth full of monsters and treasures. This is and also where many mana crystals can be found and mine. A dungeon has a portal called dungeon gate that'll guide one in a different dimension. They frequently spawn in sanctums so shelters can detect using the barriers of the sanctum but sometimes, they spawn outside the sanctums so when this happens, the hunters association will be on high alert to quickly subjugate the dungeon to avoid outside casualties if ever a dungeon break may occur. Dungeons can be evaluated depending on the size of the portal and dungeons in respected sanctums could still be roughly evaluated even without a portal scanner by the level of the sanctum, if a dungeon spawned in an E-rank sanctum, in can be foreseen as an E or D-rank dungeon.
A dungeon will only close after defeating the boss.
"What's the level of the dungeon?" Dante asked.
"It's a high E-rank dungeon." The man replied as he wipe the sweat in his face.
"Has the association already dispatch their forces?" Dante asked.
"They said that we'll do the the subjugation so we already have members on standby waiting for your orders." The man replied.
"Good. Kal, Dontrelle. Do you want to enter the dungeon? This will be a good experience for the both of you." Dante said to Kal and Dontrelle. Immediately their eyes sparkle in excitement and a smile grew on their face.
"Yes!" Both of them said in the same time. They immediately went out and gathered their equipments and left.
"Are you sure about this shelter master? I mean they're still kids, I don't think they're ready for this." The man whispered to Dante. But Dante just chuckled in response and said to the man.
"Don't worry, those two kids are geniuses in their own way and this experience will help them strengthen their bond. I want you to take care of them and if something bad happens, your team must take care of it." Dante said.
"Yes sir!"

The sanctum in Iron shelter is an E-D rank sanctum, the monsters found on the entrance level are E-rank monsters so E-rank hunters could still enter the sanctum but they are prohibited from going over the mountain ridge since over it are where D-rank monsters inhabits.
The two arrived at the portal momentarily where they saw a group of men standing by next to a floating portal glowing in blue. The dungeon gate was the size of the front of small truck and it was spewing an aura that breezed through the air.
"We will be accompanying Dontrelle and his friend Kal inside the dungeon." The man said to the hunters on standby and had a dull look on their faces. It was obvious that they didn't want to protect some kids but they didn't have a choice since the person they were taking care of was a son of prominent figure.
'Again? We can't even properly hunt last time because we had to protect this golden spooned kid while killing monsters and he's bringing another spoiled kid?' A hunter said to himself. Everyone had different opinions to the matter but most of their spiteful talks directed to Kal.
"No buts, this is a direct order by the shelter master himself so I don't want to here anyone complaining." The man called out to the hunters. They had no choice but to comply with his words and shut their mouths off. The two went nearer to the portal and Kal felt a bit of shiver.
'This is the first time I've come near to a dungeon gate and though it doesn't feel the same as confronting powerful monsters, the vibe it's releasing gives me goosebumps.' Kal said to himself gritting his teeth in excitement.
"Kal, have you entered a dungeon before?" Dontrelle asked.
"No, this is my first time. Have you?" He responded with a curioused look on his face.
"Yes, this is my 6th dungeon raid but this is my first high-level dungeon." Dontrelle said. Kal was shocked after hearing this and couldn't help but be in awe.
"Don't worry, monsters inside dungeons are just the same ones you can find in sanctums, the only difference is that there's a boss monster in every dungeon." Dontrelle said to Kal.
"Are the boss monsters strong?" Kal asked.
"They're ridiculously strong! A group of hunters of the same rank would be needed to defeat one." Dontrelle exclaimed. He continued to explain what dungeons are, the monsters, treasures, how to subjugate dungeons, and everything intel he needed to learn before they would enter the dungeon. After Dontrelle's explanation, a window panel appeared in Kal's view.

"We will now enter the dungeon!" The man exclaimed and soon,the group of 10 E-rank hunters entered including Kal and Dontrelle. As Kal entered the portal, his body felt a cooling breeze that seeped into his skin and as his entire body entered the portal, he found himself in a gloomy cave where mana crystals could be seen embedded in the walls of the caves lighting the entire tunnels up.
"So this is a dungeon!" Kal exclaimed in awe.
