Arthur was taken aback. Then he pondered on Alex's words seriously. 'What he says is not wrong. If I become the King then I could at least win honour to my Mother'. He was hesitating.
Alex looked at this fired again. "Plus, have you confirmed that your Mother is dead? She could be alive for all we know". Alex said as he hit the nail in the coffin.
This time, Arthur was truly hooked. 'Yeah, I never saw her die and even Vulko never confirmed that she was killed in Atlantis'. Atthur thought to himself.
His thoughts quickly churned as he thought about everything and decided his next course of action now.
"Yeah, you are right. I will go look for my Mother and end this farce". Arthur nodded his head while agreeing. He might be a buffoon but he still loves his family.
"That's great". Alex nodded happily as he stood up from the chair with a jump.
"Thank you". Mera smiled gratefully as she thanked Alex sincerely.
"Hehe, take this as my repayment for the punch". Alex laughed as he said in her ear while passing by her.
His hot breath tickled her ear and made her blush a little from the close contact. She didn't allow her Fiancé to ever do this to her.
This was the first time that a male except her father has been this close to her. She didn't feel particularly uncomfortable as he could be considered her friend after helping her like this.
"So what's the plan now?" Alex asked as he looked at the both of them.
"Now, we need to find the Trident". Mera took a deep breath as she replied seriously.
"Oh interesting, a fairy tale adventure. Count me in". Alex said as he clapped his hands like a child.
"That's just a fairy Tale". Arthur shook his head as he replied back.
"It's not. It's real, Vulko told me the way". Mera replied as she looked at Arthur.
"Oh really then please". Arthur bowed comically and said a bit sarcastically.
"Why be like this dude. We are all friends here right". Alex said cheerfully and everyone just ignored him.
"Hmph, party poopers". Alex said sulkily and just sat down quietly.
'Why am I acting like Tobi while wearing a mask?' Alex thought himself as he rubbed his chin.
'Heh, doesn't matter. It's quite fun actually'. Alex shrugged his shoulders and didn't pay it mind any longer.
"So where is our adventure's destination?" Alex asked as he butted into their conversation.
"The Biggest desert". Mera said as she took a deep breath.
"Let's go then but first we have to take care of the Old Man". Alex said as he got up but then he remembered and pointed at the Old Man.
"I have a place to keep him hidden while we can go freely". Arthur said as he picked up the knocked out Old Man and started walking towards the back of the house.
Alex and Mera shared a look as they followed behind him silently. They arrived at the back and Arthur put the old in the car while the other two sat down on the trunk.
"So are you a patriotic soldier of some kind?" Alex said as he faced Mera while sitting on the trunk of the car.
"No, I am the princess of Xebel". Mera shook her as she replied with a smile.
"Oh nice, a princess huh. I have also met a strong princess like you before". Alex nodded his head as said with a smile.
"Hmm that's intriguing. Mind telling me?" Mera kept her beautiful smile as she asked.
"Yeah, it's not a big deal. She is the princess of Themiscyra". Alex nodded as he replied.
"Oh the Amazons huh". Mera said as she nodded her head in understanding.
"Yeah they are quite the quirky bunch but get better if you mix up with them". Alex said as he remembered his first experience when he went there.
"Guess you had their royal treatment for men". Mera laughed as she said.
"Oh you know about them". Alex asked as he was a bit intrigued.
"Yeah, Atlantis once tried to establish some trade with them but the Men that we sent over were only returned in coffins". Mera replied as she smiled a bit strangely.
"Well my experience wasn't as strange as that but I can't say it was all that good either". Alex scratched the back of his head as he laughed with her.
Both of them laughed merrily as they finished talking about the topic. The awkwardness between them had completely disappeared and now they can be considered good friends.
"Shit". Alex suddenly said as he Caught Mera by the waist and took the truck as he jumped away.
He had the truck on one hand while holding in the other arm while he glided through the air. They were already a distance away from their initial spot.
"That's one hell of a Tsunami". Alex said as he looked at the big tide coming towards at a brisk pace.
"I will control the wave. You leave quickly". Mera warned as she got ready to act.
"No need for this". Alex waved his hand carelessly as he again took her waist and just started running at the fastest speed that he can muster.
With a couple Sonic Booms and shockwaves. All of them were already gone from the area before the Tsunami was even able to hit the shore.
"You guys will really need my help with the way you guys act like dumbasses". Alex said as he looked at them mockingly.
"Thanks man". Arthur patted Alex's shoulder as he looked at him gratefully.
He knew that they were only able to escape this predicament because of Alex's quick thinking. He was grateful for that.
Mera blushed in embarrassment as she heard Alex's words. She was just truing to help protect them.
"Alright leave this now. We quickly need to hide the Old Man somewhere and solve this issue". Alex said as he waved his hand to stop this soapy drama.
"Alright". Arthur nodded and they quickly took off to their intended destination. Though they had to remove the wind shield first as it got smashed from breaking the sound barrier.
