Let's just wait and see.....
Akalea went back to her spot next to the rest of the Rankers as they all look at Shawn who was going first then Dawn. Shawn went to the Archery obstacle and as he was watching everyone doing the obstacles he found a good strategy. Shawn used his strategy and finished the obstacle. "8 points." Kint says and jotted it down his paper. Shawn then thought that maybe it wasn't enough and that he'll learn more. Went to the Throwing obstacle, choosing the spear and finished the obstacle. "9 points." Kint says and jotted down.
Then Swords obstacle. Materializing his sword and starts the obstacle. Finishing it in no time. "10 points." Kint says and jotted it down. "27 points for Mr. Shawn." Kint says and Shawn nods his head, satisfied with the score as he knows he'll need to improve some more. Dawn came to the first obstacle. He starts by going to bow and arrow and finishes the obstacle swiftly. "9 points." Kint says and jotted it down. Dawn went to the next obstacle. He chose the daggers and in a little bit, he finishes the obstacle. "9 points." Kint says and Dawn went to the last one. Materializing his sword and starts the obstacle. He finishes fast and earned "10 points." from Kint.
"28 points for Dawn." Dawn nods his head and walks back to his supervising position in the Swords obstacle as well did Shawn in the Throwing obstacle. Akalea gulped down her saliva as eyes were then drawn upon her, waiting and expecting a lot from her as she's the last one and the only quadruple categorized student. Akalea breathes calmly as she walks towards the first obstacle. I'm going to do what none of the students did as I've been carefully watching and strategizing. Although it might be dangerous and tricky but will be fun for Akalea.
Akalea looks at Kint and he nods his head. Akalea starts to run towards the bow and arrow, avoiding the multiple shots of arrows fired at her. She silently waits for the moment the machines stopped firing so as to reload. She jumps and rolls forward, readying her bow and arrow to hit the shooter of the machine. She shoots her arrow towards the hole of the shooter, breaking it in the process while the other machine quickly fires an arrow which Akalea was waiting for.
Akalea jumps and her body twists in midair and prepares to shoot an arrow to the hole of the shooter again. She shoots, she scores, breaking the machine and she lands, rolling on the ground. She stood up and readies her bow and arrow, perfectly shooting the target's bull's eye. Akalea puts down her bow and arrows and looks at Kint, waiting for his score. Kint was flabbergasted and shocked at what just happened. Even the Rankers and the other students had their jaws drop down in shock by what she did.
"What the fuck?! How?!" Students exclaiming their words, not believing what just happened. "U-uhm.... 10 points." Kint says as he jots it down with a smile. Finally, a unique strategy. Akalea nods her head and walks towards the second obstacle. Akalea doesn't know why the students and the Rankers chose one weapon to use when they can use both.
"What is she going to do next? Will she choose the daggers or the spear?" Students begin to talk around on what will Akalea do. Or maybe I'm just weird? Akalea smiles at her thought and looks at Shawn as he nods at her. Akalea runs towards the daggers, some of the students watching were cheering her on since they like the daggers thinking she'll fight them with it but boy were they wrong. Akalea stood her ground, aiming at all the sack men's neck which Akalea found a little target in between the head and shoulders. She found this out while looking closely and figured it out since the third obstacle's sack men have targets around their bodies so why cant the second obstacle's sack men have one, too? Plus, why were there three daggers in the first place?
Akalea throws the one dagger each at the three sack men's target on their neck and that made them fall to the ground. Everyone watching had their jaws dropped down in shock again. Akalea then grabs the spear and ran towards a sack man, to use it as a stepping stone for her to jump, then throws the spear midair towards the target, hitting bull's eye. "Oh, shit!" "That was awesome!" "So that's how strategizing and critical thinking could help when it comes to things like this!" Students rambled on how she did her two obstacles as something no one has ever thought about doing.
"10 points." Shawn says as he writes it down, shaking his head in disbelief while laughing at how easily Akalea did what she did, amazed. Akalea went to the last obstacle and materialized her sword just like the Rankers did. The sword in her hand, glowed and gleamed in bright light as Akalea smiles at how much fun she's having. Akalea looks at Dawn who gave a nod. Akalea ran towards the sack men, fought them, stabbed the targets in their bodies one by one while using one sack man as a shield, swiftly finishing off the last one. "10 points." Dawn says, writing it down while a proud little smile got out off his lips and Akalea saw this, smiles at Dawn then at the rest. Emily saw this and felt her heart churn more and more.
"Wow, for the first time ever, someone got a perfect score! What a surprise!" Kint says and walks over to Akalea and gave her the 1 gold, congratulating her. "With that, the ones who failed, keep trying until class finishes. Those who passed can have a rest on the side. Mr. Dawn and Mr. Shawn can rest up, too." Kint says and those who passed, which were Akalea, the Rankers and three other students, walk over to the side and sat on the grass, resting.
"Hey, Akalea... What is really going on in that head of yours? How could you think of doing those things just by observing?" Marcus asks once they were seated on the ground, resting. "Oh, they just come out once I figured something out. They're like little pop ups whenever I discover something." Akalea says looking at Marcus like what she said is easy but not for others.
"Easy for you to say. How did you even think about shooting the arrows in the hole of the machines' shooters? Or even using both the daggers and spear? The two obstacles were really eye catching." Amy asks as she looks at Akalea in wonder as the rest of the people resting were waiting for her answer while Emily was just minding her business.
"Oh I just thought that since they're machines and the shooters' hole are big enough for the arrows to be shot in so I shoot the arrows inside and they happen to break like I expected they would. I used both the daggers and spear because why not? I mean think about it. There are three daggers and three sack men plus a spear next to the daggers. I also happen to ask myself that since the third obstacle's sack men have targets around their bodies so why cant the ones in the second obstacle have one, too? So I searched for the targets and surprisingly, I found them between the head and shoulders. It was like an inch long red circle which can be easily shrugged off. I betted on the idea to aim for the targets so I used the daggers, aiming for the red dots on their necks and they fell... I just like to observe carefully."
Akalea explains and ends it with a humble saying while hugging her knees shyly, the attention she's getting made her shy. "That's amazing. I would like to do what you do but its tiring for me..." Marcus says as he looks at the other students doing the obstacles. "No shit, that's cause you're a block head. You don't really want to think at all.." Eve jokingly says which made everyone laugh, but Dawn only chuckled a little, and Marcus turns to look at Eve, feigning hurt and shock putting a hand on his heart.
"You're mean!" Marcus says in a most sarcastic and girly way he could and this amused everyone as Marcus went back to his normal self and laughed. As they rested, they watched the other students doing the obstacles over and over again until the class finished. The students begin to pile back inside the academy to get lunch. Akalea and the Rankers, except for Emily who somehow disappeared, walk together towards the cafeteria and enters it. The cafeteria was noisy as always and they went to the food area to get their food.
After getting their food, they start to find an empty table to eat on. Dean found one and they followed behind him. They sat on the table and begin to eat their lunch. Akalea and the Rankers were talking to each other as well were the other students until something crashed to the floor with a loud bang. The noise and chatter died down to see where the crash was at. Akalea looks behind her and sees a girl on the floor with her food messed up on the floor as if the girl tripped over something.
Akalea could hear laughter from a table and sees there were five females and 6 males in that table, laughing. Akalea's hands balled into fists at what she saw. The girl on the floor was trembling in fear as she tries to get up but slipped on the milk that was messed up when it hit the floor. The laughter begins to grow as others found it funny as well. Akalea just found this wrong and she looks at those laughing as people who have no shame, bullying the weak instead of helping them.
Akalea was about to stand up to walk to help the girl but her sleeve was pulled back down by Dawn, stopping her from interfering. "Don't. They're the 1st-4th year students. We shouldn'-" Akalea pulls her sleeve back, ignoring Dawn's warning and stood up, hearing Dawn's sigh. Akalea didn't want to get unwanted attention but she couldn't just turn a blind eye. Akalea begins to walk towards the girl on the floor, she arrives after a few strides and kneels next to the girl, helping her up by grabbing hold of her arm gently. The girl had her head down and was trembling.
The attention that was on the girl, went to Akalea as she was the only one who helped. "Hey, hey, now. Don't ruin the fun-" Akalea hears a male voice and she turns to look at him with a glare. The guy shuts up, seeing that the look Akalea was giving him, gave him shivers down his spine and not the good kind. "Fun? You guys think bullying someone is fun?" Akalea asks as she pulls the girl behind her, to shield her from the eyes of other students.
"Come on, the strong preys on the weak here-" A female voice got out and Akalea's head snap towards where the voice came from. The girl went silent the moment Akalea's eyes landed on hers. "What a hilarious thing to say. Strong preys the weak you say? Then what about the stronger ones prey on those who think they are strong that thinks they can prey on the weak? Or..... Orrrr the weak fights the strong? Isn't that a concept?" Akalea says and ends up having a sarcastic smile on the last question.
"Or..... Why not prey on someone your own size? Strong prey on the strong? Hm? I mean why prey on the weak when you can prey on people who are strong like you? Its way more fun that way, don't you think?" Akalea steps towards their table as she asks them, the five female and six male students who were silent. The students inside the cafeteria was now watching the scene unfold.
Akalea slams her hands on the table which made the students on the table jump in surprise. "Or is it, you're preying on someone weak because you think preying on them makes you look strong? Intimidating?" Akalea's voice loomed around the table, the students on the table were sweating bullets unable to bark back. "Who do you think you are? We're not afraid of you. We're the 11 Rankers over all the 1st-4th years here." A guy slams his palms on the table as he says this, standing up.
"So? Without that Ranker position? What and who are you? I'm guessing you're also from a rich family? Without that background, who are you really? What are you really?" Akalea asks and this made the guy unable to answer as he knows what Akalea says was all correct. "What a disappointment. I thought the students here were all amazing but I guess not all of them are..." Akalea stands straight and turns to walk back to the girl who was still trembling in fear. "Why, you..." A female cursed under her breath and stood up to attack Akalea out of anger and pride. Akalea already expected this, hearing the footsteps running towards her, she pulled the girl with her as she side steps, avoiding the female running towards her and ends up putting her leg out to trip the female.
The female couldn't stop at that moment and her leg got caught up in Akalea's, tripping on it and falling to the ground. A crack was heard when the female crashed to the floor, face first. "Karma bit back hard, huh?" Akalea asks and grabs hold of the girls arm gently asking if she's alright. After checking the girl's condition, she pulls the girl with her to get her washed up and changed, heading to the cafeteria's double doors.
"I challenge you to a duel, you bitch!" The female who had a broken and bloody nose stood up and screamed the words out. "Oh, its not I, who will be fighting you. If you want a duel, this girl will fight you. In a month, she'll be ready. So get ready to get your ass handed to you." Akalea replies without looking back as she and the girl went out of the cafeteria doors. Dawn, Shawn and the rest of the Rankers were just silently watching as they were told to not interfere with the 1st-4th year students but what Akalea did really made them happy and proud. They are now looking forward to the duel in a month time.
The female holding her bloody nose went back to the table and was getting healed up by her friend who's a healer. "I'll teach that bitch who's strong." The female says, promising that she'll beat her in a month's time. The 11 Rankers of the 1st-4th years were consoling the 1st Ranker and telling her that she will win the duel which made the female calm down and smirk not realizing who she just talked to.
Every student now knows about the duel and are excited for what's to come. Since there were still time for the girl to wash up and change, Akalea went with her so as to not let anything else happen to her. Once they reach the girl's room, they enter inside as the girl offered her to sit down inside. Akalea and her enters the room and Akalea found the room rather spacious and clean. "My name is Clara Cross. I'm sorry about earlier..." Clara apologizes to Akalea who was shaking her head, disagreeing with her.
"You don't have to apologize. Its not your fault, its theirs. They're the ones who started it." Akalea says and Clara begins to panic. "What you said earlier about me fighting her instead of you, are you really saying that I'll be the one fighting her? I mean I'm not good enough to fight a Ranker, let alone the 1st Ranker at that! I don't know what to do! What am I going to d-" Clara panics and was walking back and forth when Akalea walks over to her and held her arm, giving it a squeeze.
"What I said is true and who says you're not good enough? You just haven't found a teacher to teach you, yet. Do you know where the double doors to the field is at?" Akalea says and asks at the end which the girl nods her head, remembering the double doors leading to the field which the 1st-4th years sometimes use in the mornings because they usually use the other field on the other side of the academy.
"Let's meet there at maybe 8-8:15pm. We'll begin to train by that time till 11 pm. But its up to you if you want to follow through and beat that bully yourself. I'll wait for your answer at 8pm. You should wash up and change. Hopefully, I'll get to see you later, yeah? Take care." Akalea says and gives another squeeze of reassurance to Clara before leaving her in her room to think about it carefully, then went to go to hers and Lisa's room to look for a bag to fill it up with long sleeves in case something will happen later in combat and power training classes.
Akalea arrives in her room and enters, quickly looking for a bag and found a black bag enough to fill three to four long sleeved shirts in it. She puts three to four shirts and closes it, walking out of the room. She walks down the stairs, hallways and towards the double doors of the field as it was almost time for Combat Training class. Akalea arrives at the double doors and pushes her way through, getting out of the academy and walks to the field area, right where they had the Combat Training and Power Training.
Akalea arrives at the area and sees no one around her, so she puts the bag down and begins to do some warm ups as she waits for the others to show up. She then heard the bell ringing and hears noise and chatter coming closer so she looks to her right and there she sees her classmates, the Rankers and the instructor, Josh. Akalea finishes her warm ups as they finally arrived where Akalea was at. The Rankers stood next or around Akalea while the other students were around the Rankers as Josh stood in front of them.
"Glad to see everyone here except for one but oh well. Yesterday was just the tip of the ice berg. Today, we will begin the actual Combat Training. There are three Phases in my class. Phase 1, The Basic Skills. We'll basically learn the basics of hand to hand combat, using your preferred weapons in battle and how to prioritize or how to fight against multiple opponents. Also expect to do some physical fitness training, some obstacle courses in the forest and learning the different Flares in case of emergency or needed reinforcements."
Josh says as he circles around the students to see if they were listening and they were. "Phase 2, Discipline, Values and Teamwork. You will be learning on how to be disciplined, to know your values and most importantly teamwork because there is no I in TEAM. You need to be disciplined enough to know what you should do, you need to know your values to do what is deemed right and you need someone or people you can rely on when it comes to an actual battle. You may fight alone but its better to fight with people you can rely on." Josh says, pushing through the students to get their attention as he talks.
Akalea immediately thinks about her father, the Rankers, the headmaster, Liliana, Lisa, the instructors and hoped she can rely on Colton and the siblings, the people who she can rely on. Akalea smiles at the thought of the people she met and are thankful for even though they haven't known each other for long but to her it felt like ages.
"Phase 3..... Will be told next time. On the day Phase 3 will be used." Josh says as he went back to his spot in front of the students. "So today and onwards, we will be doing Phase 1 for a month. Today, you'll be dueling each other with your preferred weapons. Be it swords, spears, bow and arrows, daggers, up to you. Just defeat your opponents, don't kill your opponents, okay? If you harm your opponent with the intent to kill them, I'll have to interfere and stop you myself and bring you to the headmaster. Now, go find a partner to duel with."
Josh says and the students begin to scurry off to who they want to be partnered with. Akalea was just standing in her place, calm and collected, waiting for someone to want to duel her. Its not like she's waiting for someone to duel her because she's strong but because she doesn't want to confront them herself as she is still shy when confronting people even with the Rankers. Akalea stood there and so were the Rankers following what Akalea was doing. Akalea finally found out that the Rankers were still around her and did not move one bit and gave them a look.
"What are you guys doing?" Akalea asks and the Rankers look at her with amused looks. "We're just following someone who was just standing there not moving at all." Bach says trying to hide his laugh as well did the other Rankers while Dawn kept his stoic and stern expression. "Move your asses before sir Josh will beat them up for you." Akalea says and the mention of Josh made the Rankers perk up, making them move to each other, finding their partners within themselves.
Akalea was busy watching the Rankers look for their partners as she then turns to look at Dawn, Shawn and Troy who were looking at her at the same time. "Don't tell me...." Akalea starts off with her hands up to her chest like she got caught. "I'm first! Come on, Akalea!" Troy quickly grabs Akalea's hand and pulls her away before the brothers could. "Hey!" The brothers exclaim at the same time then they look at each other, giving each other wicked looks.
"Let's see who's ass will be knocked down first." Shawn provokes Dawn who's eye twitched from the provoking. "Its on!" Dawn says as he and Shawn begin to materialize their swords from their rings. They began to walk to battle circle and begins to fight. Shawn is a tad older than Dawn cause Shawn got out first a minute earlier than Dawn.
The clashing of swords from both the brothers were loud enough to gain everyone's attention. The strength and impact of every clashing of swords made everyone there think that they really deserve the top 2 Rankers position. This gave Akalea shivers down her spine but the good kind. She felt excited for some reason. I mean I like to test myself and fight stronger people to see where I'm lacking and then improve from there. Akalea thinks to herself as she sees the brothers fighting.
She then looks at Troy who was looking at them too and nudged his sides to get his attention so they can start to battle since Akalea hasn't battled with Troy, let alone the other Rankers yet. Troy turns to look at Akalea who was materializing her sword from a ring so Troy did it as well with a nervous smile. They nod at each other and they begin to fight. Akalea was having fun fighting someone new because new things can be exciting because you don't know what it is at first.
Troy was also having fun because he's into fighting himself and always wanting to improve, with his serious and righteous self. Troy brought out 20% of his overall strength and ability in their fight while Akalea just barely used 3% of her own. Ever since Akalea was small, she was trained by her father to always improve herself and since she keeps battling and training with her father, the more power, strength and ability she gets. She haven't even used 20% of her overall ability with her father even though he gave her his all, when he wasn't beside his brother yet, because she was scared she might hurt him accidentally if more was used.
In hers and Troy's fight, she was carefully calculating on how much strength and ability she should use because she's afraid of hurting him. Troy was also calculating their fight and saw that Akalea wasn't breaking a sweat when he brought out 20% of his own. Akalea without using powers is strong on her own and with powers, she's amplified 10x. The only time she used more then 5% was when she was fighting Dawn and Shawn yesterday which was around 9% for both of them. Dawn and Shawn also used 20% of their overall strength that time which Akalea figured out since they don't want to hurt her that much.
Akalea knew that she's strong but that doesn't mean she got arrogant with that nor prideful of it but uses her strength to improve more to protect the ones she loves and those in need. She uses this strength for others who need them because there are many unpredictable things that might occur and there might be a time where she needs to use her full strength to protect them. She never once used her the power to see into the future because that scares her. She'll one day use it when the time comes so for now, she's training to improve and become better.
The battle between the brothers came to a draw though Dawn almost won but Shawn barely got it in. Akalea and Troy's battle came to a draw as well since none of them want to give more of their strength. "I feel like you didn't give your all." Troy says as he stabs his sword on the ground and Akalea does the same, following him. "I'm sure you didn't as well." Akalea says back with an arched eyebrow with her arms crossed looking funny.
"Touché." Troy says as he points at her and laughs. They grab their swords and left the battle circle. "Okay, my turn!" Shawn says, taking Akalea away before Dawn could. Now Dawn and Troy are to be partners. Dawn glares at Shawn as his and Akalea's figure went to a battle circle. "Come on." Troy says, patting Dawn's shoulder as he leads him to a battle circle. Akalea found herself in a battle circle with Shawn, who had a smile on his face.
"I'll try not to go too far." Shawn says as he points his sword at Akalea, jokingly taunting her. Akalea hits his sword with her own and arched an eyebrow. "You'll regret doing that." Akalea says and Shawn didn't get what she said until his eyes widen as Akalea suddenly pounced on him with 5% of her strength as a start, swinging her sword at him. Shawn barely blocked her swing with his sword and pushed her away to put space between them.
I get it. Shawn smiles and begins to become serious, bringing out 20% of his strength as a start. He charges at Akalea about to swing when Akalea ran at him as well. Shawn was hesitant to actually swing because he thought she wouldn't dodge and because of that Akalea used that hesitation to slide herself on the floor in between Shawn's legs, pushed herself up and strike his back. Shawn jumps to the side before the sword could hit his back. Akalea smiles at Shawn as if she won and Shawn became excited.
Shawn started to go up on his strength to 30%. His speed, strength and agility amped up as he dashed towards Akalea. Akalea feels his strength increasing and she calculated at that moment to increase hers as well to 6%. Their clashing of swords were increasing becoming like what Shawn and Dawn did earlier. Dawn and Troy stopped their battle including everyone else to watch Akalea and Shawn fighting. "Does this mean she's on equal terms with the top 2 Rankers?" Student begin to talk and ask questions which were surprising since she's just a 2 day old new student who happens to be the first quadruple categorized student.
The seniors/students were becoming used to the surprises that Akalea kept showing but Steffan and her posse didn't believe one bit that she's strong. They kept denying it as it hurts their pride knowing they can't compare to Akalea when it comes to combat and power even the looks which Steffan and her posse just right out hated her. Emily was leaning on a huge rock a few meters away watching this scene, watching Akalea closely and tried to figure her out but the more she tries, the more she gets irritated.
Emily looks at Dawn, seeing him watching Akalea and Shawn's battle so intently made her look away and leaves her post, walking away. Someday. I'll let you see who's better. One day, Dawn is going to look at me like he does to her. Emily thinks to herself as she leaves with an angered and determined expression on her face.
Akalea and Shawn's battle concluded to another draw. Shawn and Akalea were sweating as they were at it for at least 30 minutes. It was now an hour and a half into the class where students kept battling each other to improve and see where they lack while Steffan and her posse plus a group of boys were slacking off on a side where they were 'battling' each other. More like not caring whether they learn something or two. It'll bite back on their asses if they don't realize that this is crucial for the future. Akalea turns away from that group and shakes her head.
Shawn and Akalea went to a rest area in the middle where they sit on the ground and take a breather. "That was fun but I get the feeling you didn't give me your full strength." Shawn says and Akalea looks towards the students battling then to Dawn and Troy's battle which is still on for more than 30 minutes. "You weren't either so why should I? The next time you're serious about fighting me, will I then fight you seriously and equally. I don't want to just fight, but I want myself and my partner to improve." Akalea says and Shawn looks at her as she was talking, his eyes twinkling and his heart flutters from what she said. His feelings deepened.
"Well, unless the person I'm fighting is a bad guy and has the intent to kill me, I'll immediately kill him/her/it with no hesitation." Akalea says with a calm expression and then looks at Shawn who was taken aback. Shawn just laughs knowing he would do the same and looks at the other students fighting. Combat Training class ended with Josh clapping his hands to get everyone's attention. "That's it for today. Get ready for the next class." Josh says and the students made no hesitation to sit on the ground and have a rest while Akalea and the Rankers were chilling after their prolonged battles.
After a little while Newt came walking towards the students and Josh to start his class. He stood next to Josh when he arrives and he has his usual stern look as he looks at every student on the floor resting. "Today, we'll be doing some actual battle using our powers. Power Training will basically be like the Combat Training's Phases 1-3 but along with powers." Newt says as the students were listening but Newt saw the students at one side not listening at all which were Steffan, her posse and the group of boys.
Newt sighs angrily but ignores them, not caring if they'll listen and learn or not. "You guys will be choosing a partner to battle with. Use the main power you use in battle and only one for now. If I see two or more powers being used then don't blame me for interfering your battle. But for the first 5 battles will be chosen by me because some people need to know how crucial learning and listening about this is." Newt says as he glances over to Steffan and her group still talking, the students following his glance and sees Steffan and her group on the side.
The students had one same thought. They're screwed. Akalea just shakes her head as she turns away from looking at Steffan and her group not taking the classes seriously. "Ms. Steffan. Ms.... Ms.... Mr.... Mr..." Newt begins 5 people from that group and their heads snap to where Newt was at, confused as to why they were called. "Please come up." Newt says sternly but they didn't move an inch.
"Why?" Steffan asks with a dumb look. "Don't ask why, come up here or you and your group of friends will all fail and will never ever take this class again." Newt says giving them a hard look and made the five people called up, to move without hesitation. The five students made a line on the side near Newt and in front of the other students.
"These five students will be the five you guys need to defeat. One defeat each will earn you a point. You know how precious and crucial these points are." Newt says and looks towards the students and then at the five who were lined up. "What does that mean? Do you think you can do this to us- no to me?! Do you know who I a-" Steffan tries to argue but Newt cuts her off. "I do not and I do not care to know. This is my class. Everyone is equal here. Statuses are shit to me so don't bother using those to me." Newt says firmly which made Steffan tremble in anger.
"If one of you dare touch me, my family will take you and your family down!" Steffan exclaims with the intention to frighten the other students. Akalea scoffs at that and Steffan heard her scoff making her more mad. "What the fuck are you laughing at? Just because you happen to be good at fighting and the only quadruple categorized student here doesn't mean you're all that! My family will-" Steffan gets cut off with another scoff from Akalea. "Without that kind of background or family of yours, what are you then?" Akalea stood up as she asks and slowly looks at Steffan with an amused look, knowing Steffan won't- no - cant answer.
Steffan went silent unable to utter a word out. The other four students who were with her stayed silent because they know what Akalea meant. The other four students are the same like Steffan, having big background and a rich, powerful family to back them up but without them, they're nothing but trash. "Cat got your tongue?" Akalea asks and Steffan wanted to retort back but couldn't find the right words.
"Why are you even in this academy in the first place? The students here want to learn and improve themselves while you and your rich asses, no shame selves think you own the place 'knowing' your strong because you have back up? I maybe the newbie who's doing okay here and maybe the only quadruple categorized student doesn't mean I get to slack off like you lot. I don't take this opportunity nor anything that comes my way for granted. I used to live in the middle of a forest with only my master and me while you and your rich asses get to live in big mansions, living like the spoiled brats you are, being students here in this amazing academy due to your family background. My master trained me my whole life to be the person I am today and was dragged into this place because some knights came barging in our home taking my master away and luckily the headmaster here wanted me to stay and become a student. My master told me a lot of good things about this academy and how the students here were also amazing but I keep seeing disappointments here and there which makes me mad."
Akalea bursts out her frustration from seeing a lot of disappointments since the day she came until now. "A great amount of students came from little family backgrounds and no family background at all but were able to get here because of their hard work. You shouldn't hinder other students' process to improve and learn just because of you ungrateful brats. There are some rich students and those who came from big, powerful family backgrounds but they don't let that get to their head which I am thankful for because what they're doing now is becoming strong and improving themselves in this very academy. Don't you dare filth this academy's reputation for your own." Akalea says and the other students and the Rankers were amazed and were at awe by her words and confrontation. Some of the seniors have small family background or not at all and they managed to get in because of their hard work while there were rich seniors who are like what Akalea says, wanting to improve not minding their family background.
They were thankful for what Akalea says and noted what she said, encouraging them to become stronger and better. "Now, either you get serious about being a student here in the academy or just fuck off and leave the academy." Akalea says and she looks at the five students in front of her who kept silent, then looks towards the group where Steffan was at earlier giving them a look.
"Why don't we start, eh? I'm sure a lot want those precious points by defeating you five. Defend yourselves well."
