Chereads / Tricking The Vampire King / Chapter 3 - A Crossdresser

Chapter 3 - A Crossdresser

Reina scanned the King's chamber and realized that she had knowledge about where each item in this room was placed.

Her identity now was that of the chamberlain who served the King.

Therefore, these matters were all present in the memories of Rein Melk, the true owner of this body who had vanished from this world, allowing her to reside in this body.

This was how she also realized one more crucial piece of information about 'Rein Melk'.

'I don't know how she managed to do it but it appears that she has fooled the King into thinking that she was a man.' She rubbed her chin while certain memories resurfaced.

These memories clearly depicted various events where Rein was called a 'man' and did not bother to correct them.

This could only mean that the real Rein wanted people to think of her as a man.

'And she somehow succeeded as well.' She had high praise for the woman who had been able to trick the King of this land, making him believe that she was a man just like him.

This explained why the King had called her a man and scoffed when she had shed tears.

But she still could not understand how she had managed to do so when at one glance, her huge breasts were her biggest giveaway.

'All she did was crossdress.' She noted and wondered whether this was so effective that it had them all fooled.

However, she did not have the luxury of spending her time, lost in these inquisitive thoughts.

'According to these memories, Rein was a crossdresser so for now I'll just follow her and become a crossdresser too.' She pumped her fists, determined to continue things as they were until she could figure everything out about her current situation.

Not wanting to waste time and anger the grumpy King again, Reina used these memories to locate the bathroom which was on the other side of the room.

The King's bed chambers had four doors on four corners of the room.

The one that she had used to enter this room was the door that joined their bedrooms together.

Appointed as the King's chamberlain, Rein had to be present at his every beck and call, and serve him without any objection.

The door that Reina had seen him exit when she had first arrived in this room and now enter after their short interaction, was the personal office where he completed most of his paperwork.

This was his personal space as the true Royal office was in a different part of the Palace they resided in.

One could only enter this room if they were permitted by the King personally.

This was a forbidden area for everyone and the punishment for trespassers was dreadful to even think about.

Reina gulped and decided to keep this in mind and never even flutter close to that room.

The next door led to the outer corridor so the only one remaining was the one that led to the bathroom.

She raised her foot and zoomed towards the bathroom to complete the task that had been handed to her.

As she stepped inside, she marveled at the beautiful room which was larger than her entire bedroom.

At one corner was the large shower which could fit five bulky men at once while on the other side was a hot tub the size of a mini pool.

'The perks of being King.' She sighed as her feet swept across the room to finish her task.

She filled the tub with hot water, added aromatic oils that the King liked, and even blushed while setting out the robes and towels he would need once he was done.

Having completed preparations, she exited the bathroom and began her other tasks while waiting for the man to return from his office.

___

Inside the office that was forbidden for everyone to enter, King Zander sat behind his desk and had his eyes fixed on his hand.

The same hand on which his chamberlain, Rein had shed a tear.

The moment the tear landed on his skin, King Zander felt his flesh burn which caused him to pull away immediately.

However, after taking a look at it, he found no sign of injury in the area where the severe pain had arisen.

This made him wonder what was wrong and when he raised his head, he found his manservant with his head lowered in dismay.

As the King had been tricked by the real Rein Melk, he was still under the staunch belief that his chamberlain was a man just like him.

Therefore, he addressed him and treated him as one without any hesitation.

In his eyes, though Rein was a man, he was a timid and mousy young man.

King Zander was well aware of how his servant was being treated by most of the people in this Palace.

'Always silent and secluded.' He had never seen the young man ever mingling with anyone nor was he ever found having a conversation with another servant in the Palace.

This caused him to be ostracized soon enough as they misunderstood his actions to be his pride for being the King's close servant.

Zander sighed while shaking his head as he knew that this was not the reason for this reluctant behavior.

Even he had never seen his servant ever smiling or sharing a conversation with anyone.

Silent until spoken to was something that the young man followed strictly which was also one of the reasons why he had ascended the ranks fairly quickly.

Though he looked frail and had a feminine face, Zander did not disparage him based on his appearance but decided to train the young lad to be a trustworthy servant whom he could depend on.

Zander needed loyalty, something that was more important to him than anything else in this world.

This was why he was often strict with his servant, Rein, to teach him how to be strong and not so fragile that others could bully him.

Rein had been serving him for a few years now which meant that he had already considered this servant as one of his men.

Therefore, thinking of what he had noticed today made him clench the hand that had been scalded by Rein's tear.

"Molt." Zander's one word brought a flash of light into the room.

"Yes, my Master." A voice was heard in the room before the figure of a man kneeling before him appeared.

Zander nodded at the quick response he was acquainted to receiving from this man, his trusted aide, Treegan Molt.

Soft brown hair tied in a low ponytail, Treegan Molt raised his head once he completed his greeting filled with reverence.

"Find out everything Rein did last night. Timeline between my lunch and this morning." The King gave out his orders.

Treegan's handsome appearance contorted for a second when he heard the annoying name coming out of his Master's mouth.

But being the trusted aide that he was, he pushed down the animosity he felt just by thinking about that miserable excuse for a man and nodded in acceptance of his Master's orders.

As Zander remained in the same position, Treegan disappeared with the same flash as before.

It was not long before the man returned and brought with him the information his Master had asked for.

King Zander was attentive as he listened to his aide's words and with each passing second, his brows furrowed.

Treegan too did not have a good expression as he continued to report his findings in an orderly fashion.

From the moment King Zander completed his lunch yesterday to the moment Rein Melk entered his bedchamber last night, every single detail was placed before the King.

"Very well then." King Zander nodded after Treegan finished his report before looking up at his aide.

"Summon them to have breakfast with me." He gave out his next order.

Treegan understood whom he was referring to and was gone when the sentence ended.

King Zander's eyes flashed with a deadly glint once he was alone in this room.

'Dare to touch one of my men?' He sneered at the audacity of those who were trying to undermine his authority in this Palace.

He was well aware of the fact that people called him a frightening man who was swift to kill his opponents but no one saw that he was also a man who gave people the chance to improve.

However, if they did not have the heart to change from their wrongful ways then he never claimed to be a saint who would continue to forgive them forever.

He was a King, a mighty one at that!

So to make a move against his men was equivalent to making a move against him.

"And how could I ever tolerate that?" His golden eyes flashed dazzlingly before they returned to their normal state.

Thinking of the man who must have completed his task by now, Zander decided to head back to his room and relax with a morning bath before he could meet those people for breakfast.
