Eva hesitated. No matter what Max feels she was sure shot that she is jot really ready to end her immortal life for a crap. She tried smiling and curled up her lips making a wierd eye contact with Max and said,
" you don't have to worry about it... I'll take care of it", Eva said.
She was so fast and spoke so loudly that Max got confused. He was not even able to understand the statement but before he could ask Eva to repeat what she have to say, Eva left. Eva started ignoring Max then and was lost in her own thoughts. She was trying to find some other way to just bring Arya back to life without performing any ritual. She used to search for the witches books trying to figure out a way to bring Arya back however all her efforts were in vain. Slowly she started keeping a distance with everyone, stopped eating as she used to study and practice spells a lot. She used to lock herself in a room and keeps trying before she actually dies. She knew that she can run but the witches can try another trick and this time they would target Max himself. Eva didn't wanted to hurt Max.
It's been two days now since Eva has been experiencing the heat of her monotonous working brain. She didn't even eat today and it was all dark. Everyone was sleeping and she was the only one with candles burning in her room. Frustrated, she got up. Her legs felt numb and she lacked energy to go out but she wanted to feel the air. She slowly crawled out and stood in front of the crops. Her hair were open and were all messed up. She was wearing a lose sleeveless top with a ragged jeggings. She didn't look adorable but under the moon, the way her skin shined was immaculate.
Eva stood there in the cold feeling the cool breeze against her hairs kissing her soft skin but she was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't realise that Max was standing right behind her. Max had bought an overcoat and he pulled it over Eva. Eva felt the touch and was shook.
" I am sorry... I didn't mean to scare you but i found you standing in cold for a long time... this is not good for you" Max said sounding concerned.
" I was not scared...immortals don't need to be", Eva said trying to make it look hilarious.
She had a bit of tears in her eyes that were stuck in there and her voice seemed to be chocking.
" you are lost.... may I know why?", Max asked.
Eva was lost again and when she heard the question she started explaining her feelings,
" I was bullied, shunned for five years like a puppet under the merciless husband and when I was finally free I met a hilarious sacrifice that turned me immortal. I then found my family amongst a pack of wolves but the family didn't love me backa and when I was abandoned from everything, I was called again to sacrifice myself for a lunatic witch", Eva said.
" eva...? What are you talking about? What is the price for Arya?", Max asked.
He held Eva's arm and turned her to make her look right into his eyes. Eva realised that she had spoken a lot. She closed her eyes and rubbed her thumb with the middle making a sound and the next moment both of them were at the lake between the huge mountains.
Max was not surprised at all and was patiently waiting for Eva to open her eyes. Eva opened her eyes this time with a smile and said,
" have you ever loved me?",
" more than anything", Max answered
" thank you", Eva answered and raised her arm aiming it at Max.
Max was disappeared again. Max found himself back at the forest in his room but this time Eva was not with him.....
