"What will you do now? M'lady?" Fina asks, Katara looks at Fina.
"I told you to stop calling me M'lady, just call me by my name. Ave." She said, fina nodded.
"I apologize Ave." She said,
"That's good!" She said, fortunately Fina can transform herself into different animals. It was one of her abilities, so now she's just a small dog that follows her around. You won't believe it but she put the other wolves inside her pouch, good thing they fit because of that she needs to pull out her other things.
"I need to save energy, and I need to learn how to control my elemental."
"I thought you're just ordinary?"
"I Lied, but because we have bond now I'll tell you my secrets. After all we are one." She laughs, they're talking to their minds. She knows the droplets recorder is everywhere, she choose the blind spot when she summon Fina earlier.
"That's right, I'll tell you mine too."
"No, it's my choice. If you don't want to, it's okay. It's not your obligation." They continue to walk in the forest, Katara looks at the map. She no longer sees the red dots everywhere, seems like they hide themselves from the map to trap someone or something? She discovered that, using their abilities they can hide their aura that will make them invisible to the map.
After an hour of walking Katara saw a river, and she immediately approached it. The whole place is silent, but it's not peaceful. All she heard is the bird chirping and the water river flowing. She feels like if she lets her guard down someone will attack her, she looks at her reflection on the water. She's so messy, she started washing her face and hand. Katara saw fina drink on the water, she looked at the water again her eyes widened for what she saw.
A massive eyes is looking at her, she stops moving, she looks at fina and seems like she also saw what she saw.
"At the count of three, let's run!" She whispered softly, Fina with her form nodded.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three! Go!" She said, and then ran. Fina changes her form into a wolf and grabs her to run. She rides at the back of her, and holds her fur. She looked at the mermaid, it was not typically a Disney mermaid. It has shark teeth, a fish ear, and a gills on her neck. It has a size that is two to three times the size of an adult human being. Her tail is so big, she moves her tail to create waves to wash them back to the river. The water hit them, it hurt. They are now wet from head to toe, fortunately the water hitting them is not enough to wash them back to the river. Thanks to Fina's wolf form, they run even faster.
She looks at the mermaid, she doesn't know where her lips are. She smiles genuinely and raises her arm and waves her hand. She saw the mermaid eyes widen, and then the next thing she saw was that she turned into like a fire embers flew to her skin and she felt the hot something buried to her skin.
She looked at her arm, and suddenly she saw a tail mark.
"Congratulations, you just earned the mermaid tail. You have a good heart, the mermaid princess is ready to serve you." She blinked her eyes when she heard a voice.
"Finally, did you just talk?" She asked, fina shook her head.
"Did you hear that?" She asks her in her mind.
"No, I didn't hear anything." She said, Katara blinked her eyes, someone just talked! It can't be, did she go insane?
"No, you're not!" Her eyes widened, she really did hear someones!
"Who are you?! Where are you!" She looked around.
"Idiot, I am inside you." Inside me? What the hell?!
"Yes."
"Another person is on me?! I'm pregnant?!"
"No, stupid. I am your core spirit."
"Huh? Wha- What?!" She read about core spirit, she can't believe it.
Core spirit will be summoned once a person contains the four elemental powers. It was the spirit of elements in one, what the hell?! The book says that one in one million years a person will own the core spirit because it's so rare that one person owns the four elemental powers.
"Oh Shut up!" Katara dramatically said while her eyes widened.
"Are you for real? As in reaaaaal?" She asked.
"No, you're just insane." He sarcastically says.
Katara decided to rest for a while, she look at the map. Just a little bit, then she will reach the next territory.
"Like you are here, with me? Since I created my core?" She asks her core spirit.
"Yes."
"Then why do you just appear now?!" She said,
"It's because I love to see you suffer."
"Then what do you mean about the mermaid tail? I almost forgot to ask you about it."
"You gain the respect of the mermaid that's why they give you a prize."
"Then, it's that a real thing?"
"Of course idiot I am always right, this dungeon is full of treasures. The mermaid earlier is one of them." Woah! Then that makes sense, that means those treasures exist in the real world not just in this game like Fina. That genius professor did this? Does anyone know about this?
"Then why did you decide to appear?" She asked.
"I'm sick of you doing stupid things, you can't control your power and you enter this game?! Huh you have guts, if not because of that young man you'll never reach here." Katara rolled her eyes.
"Tsk! Then teach me how to control it. Can you?"
"I don't have a choice, but let me clear you something. You will never be as equal as me, you can call me a great great master. I am great after all. I choose you, so you don't own me."
"But you're inside me!"
"So? I can get out anytime."
"Really? Do they have form?"
"Of course, nothing I can't do. I am that enormous."
"So tell me different kinds of people you've been with in all those years." She read a book about core spirits. Some core spirits are known to the world because of people they're been with in history. It says that the core spirit is a king maker, it can bring you to the greatest fortune or positions.
"I don't have anyone. Now get rest, we will train tomorrow." And the line gets off, she can't hear him anymore and can't communicate. She slapped herself if she wasn't dreaming, how did this happen?
Katara opens her pouch and picks bread to eat, after that she drinks water. She decided to climb on the tree to sleep, she didn't use any lights or anything that could warm her body. The night arrives, all she can hear is the insects in the forest inside of the dungeon. The howl of monsters, she must not let her guard down.
The time passes too fast and the dawn arrives, Katara felt like someone pinching her nose. She can't breathe, she opened her eyes and was surprised when she saw a kid in front of her. She was about to scream when the kind covered her mouth and put his finger on his lips.
"Shhhhh!" He said, how could this kid be up here?!
"This is me, stupid. I told you I can transform in any form." He said Katara heard something that made her understand why her core spirit was covering her mouth.
She saw two players running and chasing someone, she didn't move and make any noise. And just a second she witnessed such a bloody scene, the other one captured the woman they were chasing and the other one killed her. They brutally cut her head and then hang it on a tree.
Katara didn't blink and watch them for the whole time, the woman earlier begs her life for them to spare her but they just laugh pathetically. The blood was all over in the place, she felt her blood boil. She gritted her teeth and she was about to move when her core spirit stopped her, he held her shoulder and looked at her saying to settle down using his eyes.
She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself, that's right she can't let her emotions drive her out. It will worsen her situation.
After the two of the players vanish from the aria, pay respect to the lifeless body. A warrior will not be able to protect their county if they will not kill, but then being cruel and evil is a choice.
She can't bury her body because the family will get it, but at least that's a thing she could do. She looked at the map, she could only see four dots. Now there's two reasons, maybe because they hide or they die.
Katara continued to walk, her core spirit transformed into a black crow that was standing on her shoulder.
"Thank you." She said in her mind.
"That's not free." He answered.
"By the way what's your name?" She asked.
"Angus."
"Very well then, I am Ave but I am Katara. I am pretending to be Ave but I am not Ave, and I am not real Katara either." She explained.
"I know, that's why I chose you."
