Chapter 7 - Even a God's true self Appears in War.

Well you decided to take a dip in the fresh water sea? Crazy is not the right word to describe your tenacity towards finding me but I have seen most fools waste their time with crazier goals...Not many have found even the slightest amount of success. Only one found everything he ever wanted. Since I told you above what I'd be leaving here it is time to get into the story of Price, Last son of Poseidon and the elder three. The god of fresh water and the second in command of the rebellious gods against their parents. If anyone who reads this knows his name and he has offered you power, refuse it and run. Unless the feeling of drowning in land makes you curious, turn and never look back. Here are some of the many reasons for this.

While the other three demi-gods he roamed with were very open about what they had planned. It always bothered me that Price did not. Lucius wanted to see his father suffer. Not a respectable goal, but a true and open one nonetheless. The other two you may ask about them but they are for another rambling. Price was peculiar to say the least. If any had heard the stories of his father and his looks, everyone always said he was the spitting image of him. A shifting blue leather armor was his attire. Never changing even in times of peace. His hair unkept and long but natural shaped his head perfectly in its chestnut brown. His sign of being who he claimed? A staff made from what for the longest time I believed to be Elven wood but it was made from something far more precious in this time. Protoral. The first magical substance that came into being and able to shift and bend to its master's whim. Factor in the fact he was very skilled with the waters he manipulated in all ways then...You must see where my distrust came from.

The decades I swung my fists alongside them made me learn about a deity's life in finer details. The feeling of pressure of continuing the family honour. These were not called by that though unlike every demi-god I meet with them. No, instead they were driven to make their own names known. None more than Price from the still and cold glare he gave to people. No matter how close you became his face never seemed to change. There was a night where I saw him smile. Over near Freedawn in the dead of night. We had taken some olden orb from its catacombs and Price grabbed my shoulder and spoke, The words he spoke will burn in my head forevermore,

''Thanks to you I can complete the final mission...Thank you my friend.''

Only once more would I ever see that orb again, The last day I saw Price on this plane.

The day I left them all was sad and a few days after that the era ended. I saw none of them except Price after that day. With the gods and the great evil they faced gone, Price stood as the only one left and claimed the titles of all who reigned before him over the remains of a broken world, his mission finally showing for all left to see. The death of the older gods was definitely part of it, the death of his father was probably more so but...His true goal was to be the one that no one could ignore anymore...His life was a testament to those who work in the shadows but for me...It was just wrong.

For you reading I should say now before you think ahead of me. None of his allies died in that war. Rather simply found a new realm in which they could rule. Well now with my goals for ending this curse now gone. All I can do is hope they have the power fully in this world. Only then will I see them again, The words I'd speak will burn in my head forevermore,

''Please...Take me with you.''

They probably don't even remember the speck of light that I was to them at all anymore. Price still lives on the plane but not since a month after the war in the start of the new era have I seen him...Makes me wonder if he still rules a domain or he fell like many gods before and after him will...He was still a friend at the end of that life so I can only hope for him...Trust him I don't...Respect him however? More than most I will ever meet.
