She stopped herself when she looked to the clouds as she was quick to realize, not all of the colors were gone; she saw the unnatural clouds that had formed above them had been a bluish grey color instead. "What in the world?" She said aloud. Yuno couldn't help but have a look of shock as he saw that Prism's eyes weren't of a lavender purple like before.
"It's just like how Feodora described it in her letter." Yuno thought, "But--She's still acting like herself." He soon spoke up, "Prism?"
Prism flinched at his voice as she looked over to him, "Your eyes, they're--" He started to say.
Prism's eyes soon widened in horror when she noticed something within the clouds. "YUNO! IN FRONT OF US!" Prism exclaimed as she pointed forward.
Yuno immediately put himself on alert when he noticed the distress in her voice. That's when they saw a set of fireballs coming towards them.. Yuno was quick to move out of the way, as the group was taken back. The fireballs had been seen flying towards Feodora and Karasu as they were both underneath them.
"WATCH OUT!" Fafanar yelled.
Feodora had been quick to get out her grimoire as the pages turned. "Ice Magic: Lion Pride's Wall!" She held out her hand as a barrier of ice formed right in front of her and Karasu as the fire balls had hit the barrier nearly breaking it though neither of them were hit. Both Yuno and Prism couldn't help but sigh with relief.
"Are you all alright?!" Mimosa asked.
"We're not dead!" Feodora said.
"They're coming!" Karasu said as he quickly drew his sword.
They looked to the skies as they saw a set of seven mages emerging from the clouds, as they went towards Yuno and Prism.Fafanar
"Fafanar! Go help Yuno and Feodora!" Klaus said, "The rest of you protect the ship!"
Fafanar said with a salute, "yes sir!" His Grimore glowed before he used "DRAGON MAGIC--ROARING CLAW!" As he flew towards Yuno and Prism as they went to gang up on them both, Fafanar's hand began to form a dragon's head. It let out a roar not as piercing as Prism's shriek though it had knocked two of the mages off of their feet and they both fell in the trees.
"Thanks Faffy!" Prism said with a wave.
Fafanar said with a wink of an eye, "No problem Pri Pri!"
"Can you focus?!" Feodora told him.
Fafanar nearly let out a shriek as he nearly ended up getting knocked out of the sky; he dove down as he found a couple of mages trying to attack him. "Fafa--" Mowryn started to say, before she stopped. The mages soon broke off from and headed back towards Yuno and Prism.
"Jinx Restraining Magic--Yellow Flower Vines!" Karasu shouted. A set of vines soon emerged from his sword as it managed to subdue one of the mages but missed the second one. "HEADS UP YUNO!" Feodora yelled.
"Don't worry." Yuno said before he looked over to Prism, "Hang on tight."
"O-Okay!" Prism said as within a blink her eyes had reverted back to its natural color as she hooked her arms around his waist. Yuno soon conjured up a gust of wind, just as the mage manifested a fireball and tossed it towards them. With but a wave of his hand the fireball managed to break apart in an instant.
"Damn he's good." Karasu said in awe.
"I gotta say--" Feodora said with a smile, "--I missed watching him work."
"LOOK OUT!" Mowryn shouted.
The two of them were nearly knocked off their broom as an attack came from the side; Karasu was quick to slice the attack however the spell he had casted was soon broken. "Damn it!" Karasu exclaimed as the man laughed before he went after Yuno and Prism again.
Though just as they recovered from the attack, another mage came up from behind as he flew towards them. Prism acted quickly as she got out her grimoire as it started to glow red.
"Shadows reveal thy form
Let your power aid
Lead the hunger astray
Bring me victory today!"
The book glowed as a handle showed itself; her eye reverted to a white color as she quickly pulled the scythe out just as the mage attacked with ice. With a cry and a swing of her scythe, she sliced the ice in two before it turned to dust and it flew inside the jewels of the eyes, surprising the mage.
She managed to keep herself standing on the broom, but found it difficult to do so as she struggled to hold her scythe while in mid air; thankfully Yuno had been quick to support her. "Are you okay?" She asked as she turned to him; he noticed the color eye she had bore.
"I'm fine." Yuno replied as he remained calm, "What about--"
Prism started to let out a groan, as she could hear her stomach start to growl again as she was in pain again. "Prism!" Yuno exclaimed softly as he kept her from falling.
As she groaned from the stomach pains, she could feel her head start to get fuzzy as her vision became blurry. "What's--What's happening to me?!" She thought as she started to panic as her arm started to throb, "Why is everything hurting?!" She could see that her arm where her scar had been started to shake, "Why is it--"
Her and Yuno were soon taken by surprise as they were both knocked over the broom suddenly by an attack from the mage. Yuno had been instantly knocked out while Prism let out a scream.
"YUNO!" Feodora cried out.
"PRI!" Karasu exclaimed as they saw her fall in the trees just as her pouch fell off.
Yuno was able to regain consciousness quick just as the mages closed in on him. He quickly held out his hand as a bird made from the very winds emerged as it flew towards them. Before the mages knew it as the group of mages as they were knocked out of the sky as they fell below. Just as they did, they saw the dark clouds had dispersed.
Feodora was quick to grab a hold of his hand as she managed to steady her and Karasu on the broom.
"Thanks." Yuno said as he got his broom to fly to him.
"What would you do without me?" Feodora said.
Karasu soon looked to the ground, where the mages had fallen, "Who in the hell were those guys?"
"Don't know." Yuno replied, "But they weren't bandits."
"Yeah--They don't normally dress like that." Feodora added.
"How can you be sure?!" Morwyn asked.
"No no." Arfau said. "They don't have high standard clothing!"
Mimosa had a look of realization, "What about Pris--Primrose!? Is she okay?!"
Immediately the group started to panic and look around. Fafanar started to say in a fit, "Oh man! Oh man! Oh man! What's my new bestie Plucky gonna say?!"
"She's not dead is she?" Salim asked.
Dak added, "Oh no! I really don't want to be in confinement for this!"
"Don't worry." Brenin said to the group, "She's okay."
At first the group looked confused before--
"Guys!"
They each looked to the ground, as they saw in a tree, Adrien back to his regular size had been balancing himself in the branches while he held Prism by her Black Bulls robe as she waved awkwardly. "He-Hey there!"
"Oh thank God!" Feodora said with relief.
Fafanar said with his own smile, "You're okay! Good Boy, Adri!"
Karasu immediately started to gag and turn green before he slumped over, nearly knocking Feodora off her broom. "Cra--Crap! I shouldn't have looked down!" He said as he buried
Morwyn said immediately, breaking out a paper bag practically smacking him in the face with it, "Here!"
The group quickly joined Prism on the ground, allowing Karasu to regain his composure as Klaus dispelled the cart. Adrien set Prism on her feet as she started to scratch his head in gratitude for what he did; he had purred as his tail started to wag while he purred.
"You two really saved us back there." Salim said, "Thanks Yuno."
"Yeah, good job back there!" Dak said, "That weapon of yours really does come in handy, Primrose."
Primrose laughed sheepishly, "Yeah--Though I'm still pretty new to it."
Salim chuckled, "Still, I didn't get an opportunity to use my Lighting God Rising Salim." He soon looked over to Yuno, "To be honest, I'm more interested in you and your little friend here."
"Something doesn't smell right about this." Feodora said, "... Those guys weren't bandits, and not to mention, they didn't attack you or your snake friend here."
"Snake?" Dak said, a bit shocked.
"She's right." Karasu said, as he wiped his mouth, "They even had the chance to attack Fafanar here. They didn't even go for it when they were right where they wanted him. That guy instead went back to get you and the tater-tot."
"You're not saying that this was a planned attack to get to these two?" Klaus asked.
"That's exactly what I'm thinking." Feodora said, "It was a bit amateurish move, but it was a coordinated attack. Trust me--I know those kind when I see 'em."
"Maybe you're right." Brenin said, as he was thinking to himself, "They must've known about Yuno having the four-leaf grimoire in the first place."
Morwyn couldn't help but had a thought, "Hmm that is true, but--"
"Look, I think we're just tired from traveling." Dak said, "Perhaps we should find a place to spend the night."
"Hey hold on a--" Feodora started to say.
Salim soon snapped his fingers, "Why don't we go back to your town?" Yuno, Feodora and Prism looked a bit puzzled at this.
"You mean--To Hage?" Prism asked.
"Why yes." Salim said, "I would like to see where Yuno was born, where Feodora grew up, and where you were taken care of. More importantly it's the place where you all grew strong."
"Lord Salim, that's rather out of the way." Klaus said, "Besides, given what had just happened, we don't know what else could happen along the way. So we should head straight to the Heart Kingdom--"
"Oh you should lighten up--Klaus was it?" Dak said, "Besides if something does go wrong we have you guys to protect us right?"
"Well of course--" Klaus said, "--But for nobility to go to a peasant village in the Forsaken Realm--"
"Don't worry, it'll just be a quick stop." Salim reassured him.
Fafanar soon said with a smile, "Yeah! Besides, I don't see the harm."
Mowryn added, "We're magic knights after all! We need to prepare ourselves for everything."
Arfau had commented, "I for one like to see it! It's been awhile since the family has visited the Forsaken Realm."
"I am curious to see Hage too." Brenin said before he gave Prism a smile, "I--Really want to meet the people you'd speak about."
"I don't see the harm." Prism said with a smile, "It would be great to see the kids again."
Feodora let out a sigh, "I guess, but I don't much like the situation. Though I do miss those crying little snout balls. Right Know it All?"
"Sure." Yuno said.
"It would be a treat to see Hage." Karasu said before he gagged slightly, "Maybe get something to settle my stomach."
"I think it would be lovely." Mimosa said.
Klaus couldn't help but think, "They're not all listening to me!"
"Maybe Salim and Dak have the right idea." Prism said to him with a gentle smile, "I've been wanting to check up on the residents at the Church though I haven't had the time to do it myself."
Klaus soon pulled Prism over to the side, as he had been in earshot from them. "It's not just our assignment I'm worried about, it's your safety as well your highness." He whispered, "If those guys from before end up attacking us again you might end up getting yourself hurt or worse. Since you're the true heir and not to mention the only heir we can't take any risks."
"Wow--You sound a lot like Plu-Plu, it's kind of scary." Prism said with a slight giggle, "Though, you shouldn't worry so much. I know you're concerned, but it's not like they're going to attack again after what Yuno put them through. Besides, it won't hurt if we just pop in for a visit."
Klaus was about to retort but gave out a sigh as he fixed his glasses, "Well I'll take your word for it."
***
-A Few Moments Later-
They took to the skies, after they had gotten their bearings, except for Karasu since he didn't really like the idea of taking it back to the sky. Adrien had been resting in Prism's pouch again as she had been sitting on Yuno's broom this time around. It hadn't been long before she found herself on a familiar path, and spotted a familiar hollow tree with weeds still resting around it.
Karasu had soon noticed it as he peeked from Feodora's shoulder.
"I'm--" He said, gagging a little, "--Guessing that's the place you found the tater-tot?"
"Yeah--" Feodora replied, "--Well it's what's left of the tree. The one we saw was bigger, and not to mention it's roots practically made the land around it."
Prism's eyes softened, "... Hard to believe that some time ago--I was asleep in that place." She scratched Adrien's head a bit, "Not knowing that the whole world changed around me."
Karasu couldn't help but ponder, "... Do you--Remember what it was like? Being stuck in there?"
"... Kind of." Prism replied, "But, everytime I try to remember it… It comes up all fuzzy, and not to mention, I get these headaches sometimes, and all I'm left with is a feeling of--Emptiness… I think."
Yuno looked over his shoulder as he noticed the look Prism had on her face as his own look softened. "Those nightmares you told me about in your letter--" Yuno said, "--About the storm? Do you still get them?"
Her look changed slightly, as Yuno could feel her grip tightened slightly, "... Only… Once in a while. I only talked about them to Asta, Feo and Karasu. I couldn't tell Plu-Plu about it though. He would only worry."
"What about the Captains?" Yuno asked.
"Yeah, did you tell them yet?" Feodora asked.
Prism shook her head, "I--Still don't understand it. I can't exactly talk to them about something that I don't get. I don't even know if what I've been seeing is real or if my mind is just playing tricks on me. I can't come forward with it, not until I can understand what it is I'm seeing. As… Much as it terrifies me."
Yuno soon gave her a pat on her hand, as a sign of reassurance, "... We won't force you to do something that you feel is uncomfortable. Whatever you decide, we'll support you."
Prism couldn't help but give a smile to Yuno before she looked towards the tree again. That's when she noticed two familiar figures down below as they appeared to be searching.
"What is it?" Feodora asked as she noticed the change in her eyes. They soon looked towards the tree and saw them as well.
"That was Jack and Mr. Nozel." Prism said as they had soon gotten farther from it.
"What in the hell are they doing down there?" Karasu pondered aloud.
"It looked like--" Prism said, "--They were looking for something."
"Searching?" Yuno asked, "For what?"
Before they could ponder further they could hear Salim gasp of amazement. "So that's the demon skull I've heard about!" He said.
They looked over and saw that familiar demon skull that stood as a monument in Hage; Prism couldn't help but shudder at the sight again.
"Wow!" Dak said in awe, "It's a lot bigger then I thought it was! And if I'm not mistaken, the statue of the first Wizard King is on top of its head."
"Wow… Aren't you perspective?" Feodora said harshly and with a bit of sarcasm.
"Hey!" Fafanar said, "Where's the church you grew up in?!"
"Faffy, don't be impatient!" Morwyn said, "But seriously, where is the church?"
"Right in front of us." Yuno replied.
The group looked over and Prism saw a familiar looking building as she couldn't help but smile warmly when she saw a familiar nun walking out of the building, holding a basket of freshly picked fruit. She had soon taken notice of them when they lowered themselves just a few feet in front of her.
"Hi Sister Lily!" Prism said as she hopped off of Yuno's broom, "We're back!"
"What's up?" Feodora said with a wave.
"Yuno! Feodora! Prism!" Sister Lily said with excitement as she ran over to them, "Welcome back!"
"Thanks." Yuno said with a rare smile.
After Prism allowed Adrien to hop out of her pouch and return to his size, she ran over to her and gave her a hug. "I missed you Sister Lily!" Prism said as she did this.
"So have I." Sister Lily said before she looked her over, "My goodness look at you! You're really a Magic Knight!"
Prism giggled, "Yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my head around it."
"Hey!" Feodora said with a chuckle, "What am I, chopped liver?"
Sister Lily couldn't help but laugh before she went to give her a hug. "Feodora it's so good to see you and Yuno again." Sister Lily said as she looked to Yuno again, "You both have grown so much."
Yuno and Feodora looked at one another confused at this. "Neither of us have changed that much." Yuno said.
"Yeah, I mean, I know two months is a long time, but it's not long enough for a person to change you know?" Feoodra said.
"Really?" Sister Lily said before she looked at them more closely, "Hmmm strange, you two do look like you've grown. You both look more like an adult."
Feodora immediately turned red with embarrassment before she avoided eye contact while she turned red; Yuno couldn't help but look amused by the look on her face.
"So, what brings you here?" Sister Lily asked.
"We're just stopping here briefly during our mission." Yuno replied.
"Yeah--" Prism said, "--Our escort thought it would be a good idea."
Everyone seemed to have settled on the ground, as immediately Karasu had been slumped over and finally thrown up in the bushes nearby.
"I hate flying…" Karasu gagged.
"Ugh." Klaus said in disgust. "Can't you do that elsewhere?"
"Shut up--It's not like there's a convenient bucket I could use." Karasu said.
Fafanar and his siblings quickly went to Karasu's side as they each started to pat him on the back as he continued.
"Let it out Kara-Kara." Fafanar said, "Let it all out."
"Why that na--" Karasu was about to shout before he was cut off as he puked some more..
"There you go." Morwyn said, looking away.
"That's a lot of carrots." Arfau said.
"I DIDN'T EVEN EAT CARROTS!" Karasu exclaimed.
Arfau said while fanning him, "Carrots or nah, you still gotta get a grip."
Klaus gave a sigh, "Why must I visit this village in the Forsaken Realm anyway?"
"Oh give it a rest four eyes." Feodora said to Klaus, "If I can live in a peasant village for six years and go without complaining, then you can survive for two minutes."
"Excuse you!" Klaus shouted.
"Man--I forget how much royals like to complain." Brenin said, "You sound too much like Pluck."
Klaus said with a growl, "say that again.."
"Which one, that you like to complain about or the fact you sound like Pluck?" Brenin asked casually, making Klaus growl again.
"I'm liking you a lot more." Feodora said to Brenin with a snicker.
"O-Oh, hello." Sister Lily said, "I'm Sister Lily. You must be from the Golden Dawn like Yuno is right?"
Klaus regained his composure as he cleared his throat, "I'm Klaus Lunettes of the honorable Golden Dawn, led by William Vangance. I'm a mentor to these new recruits."
Sister Lily soon smiled, "It's very nice to meet you. Thank you for looking after Yuno, he talks about you in his letters."
"Letters?" Klaus said surprised before he looked at Yuno, "What did you write about me?"
"Hey now, that ain't any of your business, ain't it four-eyes?" Feodora said to Klaus.
Klaus told her, "I have every right to know!"
Fafanar soon took Sister Lily's hand as he shook it before saying, "Greetings sister! My name is Fafanar Dermline, and Yuno's new friend!"
Morwyn soon said with a smile, "Morwyn Dermline, senior magic knight of the Golden Dawn!"
"And I'm Arafau Dermline!" Arafau said as he held Sister Lily's hand, "And can I just say you're too beautiful to be a nun.
Morwyn immediately broke out her grimoire, "Star Magic: Cracked Fist Volley."
Soon sounds of screaming were heard as Arafau was punched multiple times by Morwyn much to her dismay.
Feodora whistled before she said, "Not a bad trick."
"Uh--Is he okay?" Prism asked.
Fafanar replied with a laugh, "Don't worry, this happens a lot."
"MOR! MOR! STOP! STOP!" Arfau shouted
"NO MERCY ON THE WICKED!!" Morwyn shouted.
Arfau cried out, "YOU'RE SO CRUEL!!"
"Yes, I remember now." Sister Lily said, "Yuno's mentioned you three too. Though you're more lively then I expected."
Fafanar couldn't help but have a kitten-like smile as he looked to Yuno, "You wrote about us?"
"Well now, I hope he didn't mention anything bad about me!" Morwyn said as she chuckled.
Arafau groaned as he said, "Hopefully you wrote good things about me too."
Morwyn stomped her foot on his back as he yelped in pain.'
"Yup, lively is definitely a phrase I would've used too." Feodora said.
Mimosa soon bowed her head, "Hello there. I'm Mimosa Vermillion, one of Yuno's colleagues."
"Oh I've heard about you too. Yuno spoke of you." Sister Lily said.
"Oh he has?" Mimosa said as she had a smile.
"Oh Sister Lily!" Prism soon said as she took Karasu's hand just as he recovered, as well as Brenin's as he looked to have a nervous smile, "I'd like you to meet two of our colleagues. This is Karasu and Brenin!"
"He--Hello." Brenin said nervously as his face was red.
"Hey--" Karasu said with a small wave, "--I'd shake your hand but…"
"It's nice to meet you both." Sister Lily said before she noticed how Karasu looked, "Are you alright?"
"Oh yeah, fine--" Karasu gagged a little, "--Just feeling nauseous."
"He uh--Doesn't like flying all that much." Prism said, "He's still coming down from the flight."
"It'll pass--I think." Karasu said.
"It doesn't look like it'll pass." Brenin pointed out, noticing how green he had looked.
"Well we may not have much but we have some medicine to ease upset stomachs." Sister Lily said, "If you give me a moment I can get it for you."
"Thank you." Karasu said, "That's very kind of you."
"My, you have such a generous heart!" Dak said, "And not to mention such beauty!"
"Indeed." Salim said.
Sister Lily had been taken back by this before they had both gotten on one knee and bowed their heads. "I'm from Hapshass Village, the son and heir of Lord Hapsass, Salim de Hapshass."
"And I'm Dark White from the royal capital." Dak said before he had gotten up close and personal, "Only son to the trading business my father owns, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"HOLY FIST OF LOVE!"
Everyone jumped at a fist made from water as it slammed Salim and Dak, though Feodora was the only one who laughed loudly.
"Ah--I nearly forgot about that." Prism said awkwardly.
"Oh man--I DEFINITELY missed this!" She said as she laughed.
Morwyn said wirth chuckle, "okay, that was funny."
"Morwyn!" Fafanar and Arfau exclaimed.
"O-Oh my word, I'm so sorry!" Sister Lily said in a panic, as she bowed her head while they recovered, "I just--It was sort of--"
"N-No it's quite alright." Salim reassured her.
"Yuno? Feodora?"
"Big sister?"
The group looked over as they saw it had been Father Orsi along with the children of the Church. Adrien seemed to look happy as his tail started to wag while Prism's expression brightened. "Hello Little Ones!" Prism said with a smile.
"What's up?" Feodora said.
Neither of the children hesitated as they ran towards Yuno, Feodora and Prism. Prism wasted no time giving Recca, Aruru, a hug while Feodora picked up Hollo as she gave him a little bounce.
"Hey there, rugrats." Feodora said with a smile, "Did you miss me?"
"You're really back Feo!" Hollo said as he wrapped his little arms around her neck, causing Feodora to chuckle a little, "Welcome home!"
"You came back!" Aruru said, "You kept your promise!"
"Of course I did sweetums." Prism said with a smile as she kissed her head, making her giggle, "Goodbyes are never forever, right?"
"You've been getting our letters alright?" Recca asked.
"Yes." Prism replied, "All of you have such lovely drawings! I'll treasure them for as long as I live."
Orsi cried out as he was in tears, "Oh Yuno! You've grown so much! How I missed you so much! Thank you for your fabulous donations!"
"And there he goes again." Feodora said with her eyes rolling.
Yuno immediately moved out of harm's way to avoid Orsi's hug before the children turned their attention towards them, as he quite literally went out with a spin. "What brings you all here?" Recca asked.
"Those are some awesome robes!" Nash said, "They're from the Black Bulls and Golden Dawn right?"
"Yup--!" Feodora said, "--It's the real thing, squirt!"
"Hey, is Asta with you?" Hollo asked them.
"Where's Asta?" Aruru asked as Prism had picked her up.
Prism and Feodora looked to one another as they couldn't help but think back to the last time they saw Asta as they watched the way Yami tossed him out a window playback in their heads. "He uh--" Feodora soon said awkwardly, "--Had a previous engagement."
The children couldn't help but pout which made the three of them laugh and fawn over their faces.
"Don't worry." Prism said with a warm smile, "Next time we'll definitely bring Asta to see you all. I'm sure he misses you just as much as you do for him."
"You've been keeping in touch with Asta right?" Sister Lily asked Yuno.
"Only Prism and Feo." Yuno replied.
"Yuno!" Father Orsi said, "Are you staying the night?! Are you?!"
"You know we're right here right old timer?" Feodora said, as Prism laughed awkwardly.
"Oh right, Feodora. Great to see you okay." Father Orsi said, making Feodora growl.
Hollo clapped as he laughed, "Feo's making her funny face!"
"I can see what Feo was talking about with this guy." Karasu said with a slight chuckle.
"He is definitely the favorite." Brenin said.
"It's good to be back." Prism said.
"I'm afraid we can't." Klaus said, "We're just stopping by. We have to be on our way."
"Awww!" The children and even Father Orsi had cried out.
"You're not leaving again, are you big sister?" Aruru asked as she looked like he was going to cry.
Prism couldn't help but fawn over it, "Oh well that's--"
"Now, now, who said we had to leave right away?" Dak asked.
Salim added, "He's right, we don't have to leave in such a hurry. We can spare an hour or so."
Klaus looked to be a shocked, "But I--"
Mowryn added with a smile, "That's not a bad idea! It's still a long way to the Heart Kingdom and we could use a break."
Arfau added, "Yeah, plus that fight nearly exhausted all of Faf's mana."
"It's true." Fafnar said. "Plus I'm hungry."
As if on cue, his stomach let out a growl as Fafanar pointed to his stomach, "See?"
"Well if that's the case--I'll prepare some famous Hage tato dishes!" Orsi said.
"That goes for all of you." Sister Lily as she opened the doors, "Please come in."
"Gladly!" Mowryn said, "Let's go bros!"
Fafanar said with a smile as he went inside, "of course!"
"Don't mind if we do!" Arfau siad with a smile.
"Wow what a splendid church!" Salim commented.
"I've never seen such a tiny church before." Mimosa said, "It's so cute."
"TINY?!" Father Orsi said.
"It's like a little playhouse." Mimosa said, "Right Brenin?"
Brenin couldn't say anything as he immediately ran inside without a second thought, surprising Mimosa. "Oh dear." Mimosa said.
"Guess he's not used to other girls talking to him." Karasu said.
Klaus' eyebrow twitched as he couldn't believe what just happened. He let out a sigh of defeat as he said, "Well, might as well."
Prism soon set Aruru down as she went to follow them inside, though she noticed that Feodora had been looking off in a certain direction. "Feo?" Prism said, "Are you coming?"
"I'll catch up with you." Feodora said, "I think I'm gonna go and visit my folks."
Prism' eyes softened before Father Orsi said with a gentle smile, "Of course. Take all the time you need."
"Oh, I nearly forgot." Sister Lily said. She retreated into the church before she soon emerged with a bouquet of red and white roses. "I was going to go over there myself after supper--" Sister Lily said, "--You can bring these to them."
Feodora chuckled softly, "You remembered their favorite flowers. Thanks."
"Of course." Sister Lily said, "Be careful out there."
Feodora nodded before she turned to leave, "I'll be back soon."
She hopped on her broom before she took flight going in the direction of where her parents' graves had been. Prism couldn't help but help but have a look of worry as Karasu seemed to have the same look on his face. He noticed that everyone else had gone inside as they were the only ones outside.
"... Feo's parents--" Karasu soon said, "--They weren't killed by bandits, were they?"
Prism only sighed, "No. They weren't."
Feodora started to descend the moment she was near the grimoire tower, and had just gotten over the clearing of the forest. She found herself back at the broken down house and the flag of the Diamond Kingdom. She stepped towards the graves mounted with a pair of wooden crosses as she could see the withered roses within the vase between them.
She took a deep breath as she dismounted from her broom.
"Hey mom. Hi dad. I'm home."
She took the vase as she removed the withered roses, placing the fresh ones inside.
"Sorry I haven't been visiting in a while." She said as she did this, "I've been--Pretty busy. You can probably guess why."
She soon showed off the insignia of the robe as if two people were actually in front of her, "Check it out. I got into a Magic Knight Squad. Though I heard it's pretty much at the bottom of the food chain of the other squads, it doesn't bother me. I'm actually happy to protect people and put those skills to good use. Though it's only the tip of the iceberg."
She chuckled a little, "Sorry, bad ice joke. And wait till you hear this? Asta's on the same squad as I am. So it helps that I've got someone I can trust to watch my back. He's getting the hang of his grimoire, all that training he's been doing paid off. I can tell. Prism is slowly but surely catching up with the times. The Captains have been helping her. I even made a new friend. His name's Karasu Arai. He was a thief, but Yami, the Captain of our squad, took him and his sister in. He gave them a home. And he hasn't kicked me out because of my little--Outbursts. That's cool I guess."
She soon sighed, "... I'm--Still having trouble telling them though. About the real reason why we came here to hide, and not to mention about the you know what. I guess… I'm just scared of what Asta, Yuno and even Prism are going to think. They're the first real friends I ever had, and the last thing I want is to lose them." She placed her hand over her jewel, as she squeezed it a little, "I know the longer I keep this buried, the worse it's going to be. I just don't know what they're going to think, especially of me. I was hoping I could at least talk to the Magic Knight from this squad to help me tell them, but it's no good. I still can't remember his face, or if he's still even on the squad. It's a shame, I wanted to be able to repay him for saving me."
Feodora placed her hand on top of the bed of grass as her eyes softened slightly, "It just seems like it's getting harder to say anything about it. But how am I supposed to explain it to them? They'll probably look at me like I'm crazy. I know I would." She soon had a smile, "Yeah dad, I know what you'd say--You won't know, unless you try. I've managed to keep it under control for this long, and now I'm just biding time."
The look on her face soon changed as she had a cold look in her eyes; the color seemed to have shifted to a familiar ice blue, as a part of her bang turned to a streak of white.
"... When I see those bastards--" She said, "--I'm going to make them pay for all the things they did. I'll make them pay--For what they did to you both. I'll make this--Curse, my own power, and use it to make them all pay. You have my word."
Feodora didn't feel the need to turn around as she remained calm. She could feel a hand on her shoulder as she finally turned to see… It had been Yuno; her eyes and streak vanished.
"It's not safe to stay in a place like this for too long you know?" Yuno said, "The last thing you want is for your team to worry."
Feodora scoffed, "... I can take care of myself Know it All."
"I know." Yuno said, "But I want to be here anyway."
Feodora only stayed silent at this as she turned back towards the graves. Yuno soon kneeled down beside her, while keeping his hand on her shoulder.
"Are you sure you're doing alright?" He asked.
"Doing great." Feodora replied almost immediately, "Just chatting with my folks. They're not really that chatty today."
Feodora soon had been taken back as she felt Yuno's arms around her as it made her freeze up; She couldn't help but blush, "Wha-What are you doing?"
"Hugging you." Yuno replied.
"Why?"
"Because you need one."
Feodora only clicked her tongue as she couldn't help but lean in the embrace. "You-You don't have to do that, moron." Feodora said as she stammered.
"I know--" Yuno replied leaning his head onto her own, "--But I want to anyway."
