Chapter 19 - Chapter 19

"It is indeed as I thought. What you did back in the field seems to be your innate ability as a pure blooded shadowhunter" Clark commented, not taking his eyes off the screen. "This is good for you, you know, you will have an advantage compared to other research members at the rookie shadowhunters competition" Clark said, as he had actually told him while he was showing him around one the day they first met. "Do you still remember the rune?" He asked with an inquisitive gaze.

"Of course I do" Ian replied. "YAHOO!!!!!" Charles exclaimed, he felt over the moon. "Now draw it somewhere for this jobless senior of yours, I can't believe we already found a use for our terrasium, it's gonna be so cool...." Clark said, mumbling other words along as he hurried to make some preparations.

Ian drew the rune on a paper and left after telling clark he has to return to earth. He had spent around six hours in the shadowhunter dimension, equivalent to three hours on earth. Before he left, Clark warned him while also alerting the institute about an energy spike he discovered on earth and that It was definitely a demon blooded creature, although the energy spike vanished at some point, he could bet his glasses that the creature is still on earth, and is very dangerous enough for someone to even conceal it.

Ian got back to the bar, and made his exit along with elizabeth. They had both been silent on their way back to their dorms. Well that was until Elizabeth decided tl break the ice. 'I heard of your feats from your fellow nerds, the enrergy shield you created on the field, that would be no easy feat for a first timer researcher. Don't you think your skills will be better useful in the conbat department? I mean, your ability is literally a walking arsenal' She couldn't hide the smile on her face as she said that. 'I would love to, but we both know I won't be allowed in both units' Ian replied her.

'Nah,Only you know that, I know something different' Isabelle said nonchalantly. 'I'll see you tomorrow' Isabelle said to Ian, and walked to her dorm.
