At 10:00pm, after excusing himself from his friends, he left for the shadowhunter dimension. He quickly rushed to the research unit. There, he saw The head of the institute, Isabelle, Isaac, kai and other major shadowhunters of their respective unit in the room. They were all looking at one person, Clark
"Kid, come over here, you are just in time to see what this bro of yours made of your rune" Clark beckoned for Ian to come over and he did.
So, I inscribed the rune Created by Ian during the battle that occured on the field on our previous exploration, and It was a success. On activating the rune with your spiritual energy, an energy shield is generated.
Isaac stepped forward, collected the sword from Clark's hands and started putting his spiritual energy into the sword. The rune shone a blue hue, before the spiritual energy spread and formed a broad shield, spanning Isaac's height. Isabelle threw her staff at the shield and It was rebounded. "Wow, you research lot finally have some usefulness" Isabelle said ecstatic. "Hey, watch it" Clark exclaimed wide eyed, everyone laughed because he looked funny talking like that.
"Not only is it durable, It's lighter than a feather, It's kind of weightless and it's flexible" Isaac said as he controlled his spiritual energy and the energy shield started shrinking until it reached the size of his fist which he was using to hold the sword, Then he punched outwards and as he did so, Ripples of spiritual energy were shot out towards the testing board and surprisingly, it started reading. 500000 units!!!!!
"Good, good, very good. Have all our weapons Inscribed with the shield rune" Nathan commented. "And as a reward for your contributions, Ian, I will take over your training for the next four days. So starting tomorrow, you will report to my office". "Thank you sir" Ian replied.
After everyone left, Ian approached clark. "Bro, I need you to help me with something" he said to clark. "And what would that be?" Clark asked in response as he turned to look at Ian.
" I want to have a gun made, is that possible? " Ian asked."This.... Now that I think about it" Clark said, holding up his chin and continued "I haven't really taught you anything since you've been here. Nothing about inscriptions or forging"
"Here is the blueprint, I also have another rune I want to inscribe on it" Ian said as he handed the blueprint and the paper containing the rune to Clark.
"This.... Good, very good.. Haha" Clark said and continued "You should head to the comprehension chamber if you want. I'll busy myself with this.
There is a room for forging in the research unit. Although they liked tech, they never neglected the teachings handed down to them from the older generation. Clark assigned the inscribing task to the other members of the research unit and headed off to the forging room. Meanwhile, Ian headed off to the comprehension chamber.
Unknown to Ian, he was followed by his friends when he went to the bar to use their portal. They went to the bar. "Ian never told us he's got issues" Simon said as they got closer to the bar. " Or maybe he works here" Loid said from the side. Ther were two people with large muscular frame on each side of the entrance. "It seems not just anyone can come here. Would those guys allow us...." Simon said as he looked to his side but before he finished his words, Loid and Jasper were nowhere to be found.
"Huh!!" Carter muttered feebly and said "I think we should make a report to the police department". The both took to their heels and were heading to the police department which was actually not far from where they were. "Weird, how come the police haven't done anything about the disappearances of people around here" Simon remarked. They had indeed heard from their mates that people do disappear here and were never found or were found dead somewhere else. They were really anxious this time.
"Why did we even come here?" Carter stopped and started tearing down. "Hey get up, what's more important is we need to get as far away from here as possible" Simon went over to carter's and wanted to pick him up. "You know what's important?, THEY.....TOOK.....LOID" Carter yelled and he started pacing up and down. "And I suppose you can find him from where you are" Simon commented calmly, as he pushed his spectacles upwards. "This entire thing is your fault" Carter said. "I know, and I'm trying to do the ony thing I can do to get our friends back. Once we get to the NYPD, I'm sure my dad will do everything he can to bring them back" Simon replied.
"Sure, he will. Finding two people who suddenly disappeared from our sides without any logical evidence is feasible" Carter chuckled. " You're being exceptionally annoying today, Carter or do you have any other ideas?" Simon asked, the veins starting to show on his forehead indicating his frustration. "You know what? Do what you want with yourself, I'm going to get our friends back" He said as he turned to make his way to the Police department.
