Aria Winters was a typical young woman that could be found anywhere. She was born with brown curly hair and beautiful hazel eyes and a stunning beautiful face. She had grown up in a typical family with a mother and father who loved her very much. However when she was 17 years old they died on plane crush while on their anniversary. She was orphaned and left with a lump sum of 10 million dollars from her parents' life insurance. Her relatives only wanted to get their hands on the money so they attempted to take custody of her but she refused and thru the court system became emancipated
Using the money she bought herself a house and put continued to go to school. She had a love of documentaries and learned many things from them. It was thru these that Aria found that she had a love of learning. She learned how to trade stocks and invested into the market making even more money. By the time she was 18 and ready to go to college she had a net worth of 250 million dollars.
Having been inspired by the death of her parent Aria decided to dedicate her life to medicine and saving lives. She went to Harvard Medical School and had spent 6 years earing her degree and medical school went something unfortunate happened. Her uncle who she had never seen had come to her to ask for money to save his business. She refused knowing that if she said yes then all her relatives would try to leech off her. Not taking the news well her uncle pushed her and she fell towards the road and was hit by an oncoming car.
Although she survived the accident she was left a paraplegic and would be unable to have children in the future. Her uncle was arrested and thru the order of a judge the members of her family were ordered to have no contact with her under the penalty of the law. Having taken 7 months to recover from her accident Aria continued her dream of saving people. She went back to medical school and managed to complete it in another 3 years due to having fallen back in her absence.
Finishing medical school she later went to intern at a nearby hospital. It was there she met and fell in love with a man named Derek. He was a brilliant and ambitious 27 year old dark haired young man. Being the same age and in the same profession they obviously had much in common spending a good majority of their time in the hospital. She fell in love with him and him her. They had a blissful 6 months together before he started to change. She found out that he had an affair with another medical intern and she was heartbroken. The only thing he could say was that she was unable to give him what he wanted children.
It was hard on her seeing her ex and his new lover everyday but she persisted. Then came a day when a boy was brought in critical condition. The doctors at the small hospital were all in surgery currently and the child had been diverted her due to traffic so there was no doctor on sight and the doctor being called would arrive too late. Aria deciding that she couldn't let that happen decided to operate on the child even though she had yet to earn her license. The operation was a success and the child was saved.
As a consequence of her action the hospital took legal action against her to protect itself. Thru the kindness of the judge and pleading of the boy's family she avoided jail time was denied the ability to ever earn a medical license. Her dream was finished before it had even begun but she decided that if she had to redo it she would take the same action again. She had enough money to live her life however she wanted so she decided to travel the world and learn what she could and expand her horizon. Traveling the world for 5 years she learned many things such as the art of baking and weaving cloths.
She returned home in the year 2006 and used the knowledge that she had gained to start a couple businesses. She had become a self-made business woman and her wealth grew exponentially. She decided to adopt a child to pass on what she had learned. She went to the orphanage and saw a child that reminded her of her child self. The girl Cassandra was a cute 9 year old blonde blue eyed girl but the problem was that she didn't want to leave her little sister Ava a brown haired blue eyed 5 year old girl. Aria knowing the pain of losing one's family decided to adopt both girls.
Aria found that living with and taking care of her new daughters quite fulfilling. They were a bit shy and awkward at the beginning but as time went on they warmed up to her and saw her as their mom. She felt truly happy when they called her mom a year after living together. She adored them and they spent almost all their time together as a family. She helped them try many new things and discovered that her eldest Cassandra loved art and music specifically the piano. Ava had always been interested in food and when Aria taught her what she knew about baking she fell in love with cooking. Aria and Ava would always could dinner together and try new recipes while Cassandra would usually be practicing painting or the piano.
They live happily together and when Cassandra turned 18 she left for college to study art it was left with Aria and Ava at home. They mostly spent their time together cooking and watching movies together. They fell in love with a movie called Underworld and watched them together. Aria loved the Rise of the Lycan the most and Ava loved the first Underworld. Regardless to say they watched the movies many times over and had even memorized the plot and events in the movie. She developed a hatred for the character of Viktor and wanted to bash his face in if she ever got the chance. She hated him simply because he killed his daughter Sonja.
She found the idea behind the show interesting. Using medicine to combine a werewolf bloodline and a vampire bloodline together. Maybe it was the doctor in her but she would have loved to have done something like that. She also had a bit of a celebrity crush on Lucian the Lycan.
After 4 years it was finally time for Cassandra to graduate and Ava to start college herself in a few months. Aria was now 43 years old and she felt proud of her daughters for growing up into such amazing young women. Soon Cassandra returned home and began to a job as a book illustrator and Ava went to a culinary college to train to become a chief. Aria soon began a shortness of breath so than what she usually felt so she decided to go to the hospital. There she found out that she had late stage lung cancer and that she had 8 months to live.
Being unsure of how to break the news to her daughters she was conflicted. She went to her lawyer to change her will. Previously she had left 70% of her money her daughters and the rest would be split amongst her relatives. She changed it because knowing her children they had poor money sense when it came to what to do with their money. She had her trusted financial manger set up a trust fund so that they would be set for life and as for the money she had reserved for her relatives she donated that to charities around the world.
After a week of handling her financial matter for her daughters she resolved to tell them. A few days later it was winter break for college so Ava came home. She remembered how it went it.
"I have something to tell you two." said Aria
"What is it?" asked Cassandra and Ava
"I went to the hospital 2 weeks ago and it turns out I'm sick." said Aria
"How sick are we talking about mom?" asked Cassandra
"What did the doctors say?" added Ava
"Well I apparently have late stage lung cancer." Said Aria trying to appear as calm as possible
"What the prognoses?" asked Cassandra with a worried look on her face
"I have 7 months at most to live." said Aria
"No!" yelled Ava as she ran to hug her mother in her wheelchair
"It's okay sweetie." Said Aria as she stroked Ava hair
"How is any of this okay!" yelled Cassandra as she stood up and walked away
Aria spent 15 minutes comforting Ava and told her to go to her room as she talked to Cassandra. Arriving outside the door to Cassandra's room she could her daughter crying. She knocked on the door and no response came.
"Cassandra I'm coming inside okay." said Aria
She enter and found her daughter under the covers a thing she did in her younger days when she was sad. Wheeling over she placed her hand on Cassandra's head and began stroking her hair as she wait for her daughter to come out from under the covers.
"Why are you okay with this?" asked a sobbing Cassandra
"I'm not okay with it. If I had a choice I wanted to live and see you and Ava grow get married and meet my grandchildren. I won't get the chance but I'm grateful for the time we've had together and I'll look forward to the time we still have. " said Aria
"I don't want you to die!" yelled Cassandra as she embraced mother
"I don't want to leave you either my dear sweet girl." said Aria holding back her tears to be strong for her child
After Cassandra calm down they went to the living room and called Ava. Aria explained the series of events that she had taken over the last 2 weeks. She explained that she would be leaving all her money, business, and properties to them. Of course they really didn't care about that but she told them that they should use it to take care of her grandchildren with a smile. She then explain that she want to spend her last few months with them.
Cassandra took unpaid leave and Ava took a semester from school. They spent the next 6 months doing everything they wanted. They travel to many places and Cassandra got to visit the Louvre in Paris and Ava got to try many new dishes and invented a few new ones.
As they went on Aria's condition deteriorated and on the 7th month she passed away. She died but she was happy surrounded by her children as she faded.
