Chapter 4 - 3: Kaleidescope World

Frantic as he always is, Sol embarrassed himself in front of a woman. A funky looking one. As his delicate features shove himself away, the woman is left startled as if long before she's thriving under a cave, an oblivious front she wear.

"Where am I?!" she asked Sol along her timorous view of complete uncertainty. Him being a complete moron retorted. "I don't know". Apparently, while strolling, he realized he was lost, not noticing the fact that he was already miles away from his apartment.

The lass didn't get the answer she deserves. Thought that he'll be of a good help for her, she's mistaken. But being quick-witted, she figured something. Something about her whereabouts as she figures that everything looks weird and modern. She's nowhere than where she was before.

"I'm not supposed to be here!" She gasped towards Sol, whilst looking her straight in the eye, idiotically. She stood and scratched as she questioned him another more obvious thing enough for his pea-size brain to comprehend. "What day is today?!"

Sol came to his senses and instead of answering, he then interrogates her. "WHAT'S WITH THE BLOOD?! IS THERE ANYONE HURTING YOU?!"

"I almost forgot about that but luckily, seems like my father did save me," she calmly answered as she starts to uncover herself just to assure him that's she's in one piece.

"Cover yourself, it will be dangerous if anyone see you like that!" he yells as Sol concealed his eyes with his hands, instantly, the woman unveils her sword then points toward him aiming at his throat. Then starts claiming that perhaps he is an enemy.

"So you are one of his minion?!" Her eyes seems like she can murder him right there, right now, right in front of people passing by. He is confused. "Are you crazy?! And is that sword even real?" Sol distracts her knowing that it is indeed legitimate. He tried to get it away from her hands while blood is still dripping from it. She's not joking and made the grip even tighter.

But Sol is a fiction-genre geek, he recognized. "Your cosplay is really amazing, lady!" Muddled she is, she lowered her weapon. She haven't heard such words. People figured that these two are lunatics- a pervert and a beggar, and so eyes shun from them. Really a perfect pair.

"What cosplay? Never mind that! From the looks of it you are far more ridiculous as I am. Who in humanity will wear an undergarment in public?" As the woman smirked and leisurely traced Sol's body with her honed blade. Sol out of embarrassment can't stop worrying how they are in a public place though each person that pass by them tries to ignore them instead, he then tuck himself. "Look! Even they are disgusted with your body!" a conceited smile follows.

He stood and leave.

But for a clueless woman that's dressed up as a homeless tramp. She trail him, everywhere he goes. It's daytime which means people are out. They easily became the center of attention but in negative aspects. Some are disgusted and chuckling, most ignores and a few are amazed. Sol is already regretting going outside at night with no device to use. They became the laughing stock. He just sprint discreetly so that the woman no longer follo-- She dashes.

Sol tried distracting her with certain things, comprehending that she's new here. It doesn't matter anymore where or what. He just wants to go home. Unluckily, woman like herself can't be fooled so easily. She always keep up, free from distraction. He gave up.

He reached his apartment, opened it then shut the door harshly and lock it, abandoning the woman outside. She looks hopeless.

Sol stretched his arms and completely dress his top with his shirt on the couch. His place can be compared to a jungle by how chaotic it looks. Then he heard a growl coming from his stomach, but a water is the only thing he have right now. He still needs to pack up his belongings. Today is the start of his new world, especially that somehow he may be fired already from his part-time.

He's unemployed, hungry and hopeless yet giving up is not his business.

Thud

A deafening thud resonates as it resembles a chopping of wood but much solid. It continues. Sol neglects it then went inside his room to start stuffing his clothes in his baggage.

The thud began to sound more threatening as it grew louder and more... open?

Sol ran fast leaving his stuff but even so, he was already late, the door is already open in an unconventional manner. A commotion has been brought unto his entrance, blocking the outside view. He panicked not because of her-- out of sudden, a matured voice from afar came rushing, the landlady of the apartment.

Sol is left astounded with his surroundings, couldn't comprehend and is beyond his capability. "Left hopeless with no more choice, he kneels down and commence wailing. Looking less dignified of a being, a tremor turned him this way. Out of the blue he reckon on a way, only to his comfort.

"Ma'am, that beggar just started following me and now, getting inside my property!" he shrieked turning his tears into fright. Civilians piercing their looks unto the woman, she behave stupendous. She then returned the looks, on contrary, hysterically. Her intuition that he made it seems that the woman will do some mischief. Sol anticipates the onlookers will take the bait.

In his surprise, "Poor boy! What have she done?" the landlady gasped anxiously, aiding Sol to stand. "I don't know, Ma'am. I was just out for a walk last night, then she won't let me free and bulldozed me 'till here. So she can have my belongings--" he weeps. "Then, in addition, THAT woman used her force."

He fabricates the scenarios and intentions he can think of. Perceiving that all of it were false. The woman knew that her doom is near with nowhere to go. She ensconced the blade in it's casing as soon as she realized how filthy modern humans are. They can think of anything, anything worse. They can assume that I'm heinous.

"immoral..." she spilled then tilted her head down.

A siren coming from a police vehicle reverberates the neighborhood causing panic as to someone already reported the scenario. The woman can no longer escape, so she surrender.

Still and all, she's certain of something. "You all are hideous. It's making me nauseous--" she's disgusts whilst officers is currently arresting her.

"I, Mayari, renouncing every citizen in this land. The entirety will compensate for the few and soon, humans will beseech for mercy," she made her final remarks. Then the room is left in silence.
