Chapter 1

Liu Qi closed his journal and sighed, dipping his exquisite golden brush into the bowl with clear water, staining the clear water with the ink on the brush. He watched as the black slowly swirled in convoluting patterns, sometimes looking like a dragon and other times a phoenix.

He stood up, dragging his long white robe across the room and out the door, walking into a view of a place that seemed like paradise, with mountains piercing the heavens, rivers flowing in sky, with lush trees spreading on all sides as far as the eyes could see.

Many beautiful birds and animals lurked around, seemingly waiting for someone.

Liu Qi walked out from his abode into the garden as the birds flew towards him and animals approached with no sense of danger what-so-ever.

"If you all are released out into the universe you'll probably be killed quite quickly, having no ounce of fear towards your surroundings…" he muttered as he shook his head

A small kitten walked towards him as it purred and rubbed it head on Liu Qi's legs, wanting to be held. It's fur was oh so smooth and fluffy with its pink paws feeling very soft to the touch and it's small whiskers fluttered in the wind. It's eyes were like the ocean, blue and having seemingly a whole world inside them.

Liu Qi felt an innate warmth as he looked at it.

Liu Qi picked it up and embraced it, bringing it towards his chest. He kissed it on its forehead as the little kitten brought its small pink tongue out and licked Liu Qi's hand, bringing a smile on his face.

As the other beasts witnessed this, they all had a glint in their eyes.

The little kitten who noticed this shivered and meowed towards Liu Qi who was busy burying his face on the cute kitten's body.

Liu Qi looked forwards as he witnessed the sight of animals ranging from small hamsters to giant dragons moving towards his legs.

"Wait-" yelped Liu Qi as he was interrupted midway by the horde of beats ramming at him.

"Meow…"

"Woof.."

"Moo…"

"Rawr.."

"Coo.."

30 Minutes Later.

Liu Qi who was on the ground was covered in stomp, pecks and bite marks he stood up, rubbing his back and patting the dust off the body. The little kitten next to him was covered in dust and and had stars revolving her eyes. She whimpered and staggered towards Liu Qi, looking at him with teary eyes and rubbed her little head on his legs.

Liu Qi felt sympathy for the poor being as he carried her once more, petting her body. He conjured some water and washed her clean, making her fur even more fluffy. The kitten meowed in happiness as she leaped towards the ground, dancing around Liu Qi's legs and followed him towards the forest.

Liu Qi rose into the air as he flew towards the night sky full of stars and galaxies. He pulled the kitten towards him as they exited the space, his eyes falling upon a magnificent and ethereal eastern style castle floating in the middle of space

Dragons flew around the castle in droves and phoenixes spread their wings, bring a show of fire of different colours mixing into the void

As he approached the castle, the dragons moved in droves and formed the character "welcome" with the bodies.

The Phoenixes all cawed and bowed towards him, eventually flying away.

Liu Qi nodded in satisfaction as he looked towards the little kitten who was moving her tiny head all around and gazing at everything with interest and curiosity.

A dragon approached her and blew some wind from his mouth, startling the kitten and making her fly miles away.

"Nyaaaaaa....."

The little kitten meowed and called Liu Qi who just chuckled in amusement, eventually pulling her back.

All the surrounding creatures laughed at the act that just happened and went on their ways.

Liu Qi looked at the dragon who was cackling and smacked his forehead with his finger who guffawed in disapproval and whimpered away, patting the lump on his forehead with his tail.

Liu Qi then moved towards the castle, his loose yukata morphing into dragon robes.

As he moved towards the castle he was greeted by legions of golden armored warriors kneeling towards him.

"WE GREET YOUR SUPREMACY LIU QI!!"

Liu Qi nodded as he waved his hands.

"Rise"

"YES, YOUR SUPREMACY!"

"Go back to what you were doing."

"WE HEED YOUR COMMAND, YOUR SUPREMACY"

The soldiers moved back in legions, eventually spreading all over the castle.

As Liu Qi descended into the court room, he was greeted by the court officials bowing towards him.

"We Greet The Supreme Lord."

Liu Qi nodded as he sat on his throne.

As soon as he sat on his throne, he heard a 'Ting~' sound.

Liu Qi was shocked for a while when he read the notification but the shock didn't last long as nostalgia overtook him.

'It has already been so long since I transmigrated here huh…' reminisced Liu Qi as his life flashed before his eyes.

Liu Qi had transmigrated into the universe when he was on his way home from work after getting scolded unjustly by his boss and was sulking in injustice and anger when he had been stabbed by a falling iron rod.

While the reason of why the queen was involved was because she too wanted to be empress for a lot more time. The riches and luxury involved were oh-so alluring.

But if the crown prince ascended to the throne she would only be an empress dowager and she wouldn't have the capability to use the royal treasury for her own reasons and luxury.

After escaping and taking some resources for his own cultivation journey he moved and started a nomadic life.

Time kept passing as he kept getting stronger and stronger and came in contact with even more powerful beings.

The only regret he ever had was probably not having a female companion with him to weather the storms of hardships and sadness he felt on his journey.

But he was sick of having all these powers.

When you can't get in close proximity to someone because just your existence would destroy them, when everyone feels like a stranger to you, when you are isolated for 'being better and greater than them', when you just need someone to talk to you but all you get are the words 'an emperor needs to deal with this', when you just want to be normal..

Liu Qi got back to his senses as he opened his system mail and checked the gift bag.

It looked like a glass sphere, containing a myriad of colors and lights creating a whole new universe in itself.

He used a wish card to skip today's mission as he finally spoke,

"Postpone this meeting for some other time, I have something to do."

The court officials were surprised at his words but let it go as he was the supremacy so he could do whatever he wanted.

"We understand, Your Supremacy."

Liu Qi nodded as he waved his hands, sending all the gods away.

He put his eyes on the reward again as he got the message,

[Would you like to open the reward?]

'Yes'

In a flash of colorful light the orb broke as the contents were slowly revealed as five stones started revolving around Liu Qi's hand.
