Chapter 3 - Chapter 2:

Chapter 2

In a misty hill stood an eastern style building made of red and black materials. A man in white robes was humming a song as he danced around the garden with his robe flowing towards where he danced.

"As I break free from the shackles that bind me.."

"The swan flies as the sun rises.."

"Spreading its wings as it flew away from the grasp of the earth.."

"la la la la lalala…"

The wind moved with him and the tress swayed, their leaves making tunes on their own.

A black cat was lying on the gazebo as it smiled liked a human, relishing the music it's master was dancing to.

The mist made for a beautiful sight as it reflected lights of various colors, giving it a mysterious vibe. The site almost seemed like an immortal's home. Various animals chirped and growled happily as they stared at the man who was dancing without a care in the world.

The guqin at this gazebo was playing on its own as it brought out beautiful tunes that one unintentionally swayed to.

The mist formed into lotuses, dragons and phoenixes as they flew around the man, sometimes swiveling around his sleeves while sometimes swirling around his body.

The man approached a small pond that had many fishes as he dipped his hands in the pond and splashed it at his face, making his face drip with water.

He kept dancing and eventually reached a garden, he fell down as he rolled and eventually laid down on his side laughing with immense happiness.

The black cat jumped down and approached the man, licking his face with it's pink tongue that had quite a contrast to it's black body.

The man grabbed the cat and brought it towards his chest as he buried his head in it's body. The cat tried to resist but eventually stopped resisting.

"You'll crush me if you bury your head so much master."

"But your fur is so smooth and fluffy darling, you know I can't resist such fluffiness!"

"But think about me…"

"No, I won't."

"I- sigh, alright have your fulfillment…"

"Hehe, I sure will."

As the man and the cat talked about many irrelevant things, time eventually passed.

The man stretched his limbs and carried the black cat who jumped out of his grasp and walked towards the eastern styled building. They got in as the man brought out some water for himself.

"Even though there is practically nothing that I don't like, I do crave for some soda on this hot weather though.."

Indeed, this man was Liu Qi, who after getting his memories and powers sealed was dropped off into a remote corner of the Yufei Holy Dyansty, 'awakened' the system. The system gave him sissions and daily quests ranging from feng shui and properly learning about the topography about a certain area to the blueprint making for shelter-making for survival purposes when dropped into an unknown area.

It would have been normal if it was just that, but it even forced him to learn various extra mission related activities such as calligraphy, piano playing, guqin playing, painting, dancing, singing etcetera etcetera.

"Even though living like this is fun, just having a pet cat, a few animals and nothing else is very boring"

Liu qi had already finished his 'graduation' quite a few years ago. Roughly counting, it would have been 10-15 years since he transmigrated.

He had built a beautiful dwelling to live in and had all the things he ever needed. Besides, if it were any other hot-blooded protagonist, they would have probably wanted to reach the top of the world with their systems that gave them powerful techniques and epic weapons instead of living their lives peacefully with no conflicts in sight.

He too had such desires at the beginning but when he realized his system was more about surviving in the world than conquering it his hot-bloodedness had been replaced by a desire to live a long and happy life with he himself as his own boss.

Now that his initial dreams were fulfilled, he wanted someone to spend this long life with him.

Liu Qi knew that this world had more than one way to extend the human lifespan to over 100 years old, he naturally wanted a beautiful wife to be with him.

"Haah… if only a beautiful girl fell from the sky and dropped into my arms, it would be preferred if she has some injuries so I can treat them and gain her favor. Then slowly her feelings would develop for me, then we would marry, then…"

As Liu Qi kept rambling about, his cat gave him a disdainful look and walked towards the path down the hill.

"Going to catch a rat?"

"Say that one more time and I'll have it that your wine cauldron will have it's fair share of cr*p mixed in.." growled the cat as she bared her claws.

"Holy hell! I get it alright. No cat killing mouse jokes."

"Goof.."

Just as she was about to descend she noticed some humanoid figures climbing up the mountain.

"Hey Qi!"

"What?"

"You've got guests!"

"Really?!!??"

Liu Qi immediately bolted upwards as he walked towards the door with extreme excitement.

His hearted beated hard and fast as his blood was boiling. After all, this was the first time he ever had guests in years.

The place he stayed in was a hill in a large system of hills. The only reasons people would come here would be either to cut some trees or go in secluded cultivation.

Liu Qi started taking deep breaths as he started his fixing his robes and straightening his hair in order to make himself look as mysterious as possible.

After all, first impressions mattered a lot. What if you went up a mysterious misty mountain and see a paradise like place that looked like an immortal's abode only to find a man who was jumping and laughing in excitement with no suck bearing like that of an immortal?

Awkward.

As such, Liu Qi started preparing.

He moved cups around as he brewed some tea and grinded some ink, being incredibly focused in both actions. Then he carried the tea to the gazebo as he sat near the guqin and starting stroking the strings.

The stroking itself created tunes as he started plucking the strings one by one, eventually forming a tune that he deemed of as good enough to be played.

After all, he was a modern man from a modern civilization, he had great standards for music.

Qin Yushen was the Young Master of the Flame Sea Sect. He had been temporarily sent from the sect due to circumstances with the inheritance of the sect leader position. He had no interest about the position unlike his siblings who would do anything for it.

His father the sect leader knew this too, so he sent him on a journey so that he could be away from all the infighting. As such Qin Yushen had been walking the eastern lands, having fun and seeing the lives of commoners and occasionally disguising himself as one as well.

He was going on his usual walks around the hills when he heard music from a guqin. This was a very remote area with no civilization for many kilometers away so when he heard the music he was vey surprised.

Qin Yushen's curiosity was invoked so he started walking towards the hill with slight excitement in his steps. As he kept getting closer, the music kept getting more exquisite and beautiful. The mist started churning into different shapes and sizes, looking very paradisiacal.

When Qin Yushen reached the top of the hill he was greeted with an exceptionally beautiful sight.

The top of the hill had been flattened out and many exquisite buildings were made there. A stream was moving around the hill, eventually flowing downwards from another area, creating a pseudo-waterfall. A large pavilion had been made which looked magnificent and peaceful.

Lush trees that bore fruits were spread around the edges of the plain as bees flew around, occasionally sitting down in order to take some nectar from the flowers that were spread all over the plains.

There was a large pond with clear blue water in which, countless fishes could be seen swimming around.

As Qin Yushen's eyes searched for the source of the music, his gaze landed on a gazebo that was inside a flower gateway arch surrounded by a fence made of white rose vines.

The gazebo looked very majestic as it was sculpted out of pure white quartz. Various patterns and designs were inscribed into the gazebo.

A man in white loose robs was playing a guqin and swaying to his own music. He had long hair and milky white skin that any woman would be jealous about. His hair was pitch black like obsidian and his eyes were blue like a sapphire. His upper body could be seen slightly from his loose robes.

His upper body was as though sculpted by a master sculptor having nigh impurities or blemishes.

The man stood up and walked out of the gazebo.

"Hello my friend. Why do I have the honor of being visited by you?"
