"Goramel!" Sharen was first shocked as he stood, rooted to the ground, eyes fixed on the man. That wasn't enough, he made a move to approach him but Narene caught his arm, puling at him slightly.
"Sharen!" her voice carried a sense of urgency, making him pause momentarily. "It isn't him!" Narene, though exhausted, still gripped her sword firmly, ready to strike. Her eyes showed fierce determination.
However, Sharen shook his head. "It's him, Goramel." He'd long seen it with the prying eyes of the system. The man didn't have a mixture of cores like he'd first seen. He had indigo—full, bright indigo!
"How is this possible?" Sharen asked, glancing from the man to the crumpled ashes that were once the Haklarans. Nothing remained that could suggest that those two hulking beast had stood a few moments ago.
