Hearing Solis' voice calling out to him, Valedd didn't turn his head to look at him, as he still kept his entire focus on the belligerent Gaius that he was facing off with. But, he did at least give out a loud reply, though it wasn't really what Solis had expected back from him.
"I'm really sorry to say this, kind stranger, but no—that scroll I sent to you was the last of my consumable items! I don't have any scrolls or potions left on my person! Please, just try your hardest to stay alive and deal with it!"
'F**k… Are you f***ing kidding me?! One more attack from this fat ugly bastard and I'm f***ing dead! Can't you see that!?'
Upon listening to Valedd's unfavorable response, Yahtorn couldn't help but cackle out loud and then have a sleazy smirk on while licking his plump lips in a creepy, disgusting way that sent literal shivers down Solis' spine.
'Why do I suddenly feel like a f***ing school girl that's about to get horribly molested? Sh*t feels bad man.'
He furrowed his brows so much so that his forehead looked to be utterly crumpled up. This was honestly not how he pictured his Saturday morning gaming session to turn into.
'Since this apparently dirt-poor young master is absolutely useless to me now, I'll seriously have to think up of a way to win this fight all on my own…'
A level 1 like him, with twelve remaining HP, up against an obese goliath who's nine levels above him. What the hell could he possibly do?
'For starters, let's take it easy and gauge the power difference between us because although he packs quite a punch, I clearly noticed that this fat retard's movements were slow in comparison to me. The only reason why I got hit was that I was caught off-guard by the abrupt change in gravity around him. Now that I know what's up, I think counterattacking is the best option I've got at winning this thing!'
Then, as he was done resolving his self and coming up with a plan, Solis straightened his stance and put forward his dagger. It was now or never; one more hit and he would die for sure. Thus, he had to give it his all and fully concentrate on his opponent's next movements for him to take the appropriate actions.
'It's a good thing that this is just a video game, otherwise, my pain receptors would be through the roof right now. Maybe I wouldn't even be able to move at this point due to my severe condition.'
But more than that, he found greater relief in knowing that this was not an actual life and death struggle where he had to stake his entire survival on the line. Because, worst-case scenario, he could always respawn later.
During the entire time Solis was having his internal monologue, Yahtorn was just looking at him with amusement. He probably enjoyed seeing him in pain and struggling with such a dark expression. No, toying with other people's lives while feeling as if he had the upper hand in everything was definitely a major turn-on for a bastard like him. That feeling of superiority, of domination, is something he craves for; anyone can see it in his pleasantly squinted eyes that he was having fun with this.
"Hey, Valedd. After killing this insignificant worm over here, I'm going to have your head next. And then, you know what I'm going to do after that? Once I've killed you I'll bring your head with me, then I'll make sure that your lifeless eyes watch closely as I defile your fiancé Mirosa. I'll show that dainty b**ch the overwhelming price she's gonna have to pay for choosing you over me!"
Yahtorn had on a triumphant smile as he spoke. Then, he turned over his right palm up and a large circle of fire manifested brilliantly.
"Fireball!"
As already stated by him, he aimed the fire magic towards Solis to finish him off. The fireball shot across the air like a missile, consuming the mist and fog wherever the searing blaze went.
'Dodge!'
Incredibly enough, Solis manage to evade the magic by a hair's breadth, even though it was seriously too fast for his eyes to catch up.
'It's fast! Thankfully, my movement speed and reflexes can somehow cope with it.'
"Tch! Stop wasting my time little worm and just obediently accept your doomed fate! FIREBALL!"
Fed up with this shenanigan, Yahtorn used both of his hands this time to conjured up multiple fireballs before propelling them all towards Solis.
Feeling the pressure on him exponentially increasing, Solis didn't have time to think as his injured body moved instinctively in its own accord to dodge everything thrown at his way.
"Die! Die! JUST DIE!"
The dodging marathon only continued for three minutes before the fireballs eventually died down and stopped coming.
'That's right! There's no way that this guy can infinitely cast magic spells one after another without exhausting his mana reserves.'
Solis grinned to himself, for he knew that now was the time to launch his counterattack. Finally done with dodging, Solis once again approached the fat ogre with inhuman speed and prepared his second round of assault.
"Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of taking this chance to run away, you're coming towards me?"
"I can't beat the crap out of ya if I don't get close!"
"Hohoho~ Then come as close as you'd like."
Yahtorn smiled without a care in the world and spread his arms wide open as if to receive him with gladness. Noticing that something was terribly off with his manner of display, Solis decided to slow down to see his next move.
'Why is he so carefree? Of course, he probably doesn't see me as a threat, but the obvious arrogance he's showing says more than what meets the eye…'
And he was right in his conjecture a second later—
"Charging Force!"
A field of electricity suddenly emitted out of Yahtorn like a thunder wave.
"Sh*t!"
Arcs of deadly lightning spread out as if they were snakes and blossomed into a thundering tree with Yahtorn at the center.
'I'm gonna die…!'
